  1. Really? That's amazing. I decided against using them, the only thing I was really interested in was flip flops and chap stick. However, after further inspection of orientaltrading.com I decided to go with them for almost everything. They have the best things for Mexco- I'm so pumped. Plus, they have bulk seashells that are cheap and star fish that are even cheaper- 500 for like um, something? Haha, $11.95. LoL. Had to look it up there real quick. ~~
  2. Yes it would be. So far I have found everything that we want for our OOT, including new OOT bags. LoL. I should have just stuck with my original plan. Oh well. I'm really happy too, I've stayed within budget.... Sort of. ~~
  3. What are some DIY shell themed favours? I already am making candle holders, but I wouldn't mind including some other things that have shells in them. What else can I make, that is inexpensive, for my guests? So far I have about 40 people coming out of 120. Thanks!!!! ~~
  4. I was looking online and found an interesting bulk, cheap site that offers a ton of stuff for OOT bags. Flip flops, lip balm, etc. I was wondering if anyone has ever bought from this site before or heard anything about it? Wholesale Products and Wholesale Merchandise - DollarDays ~~

Yes, we are using bubbles too. At our local wedding store, it's like 24 for $6.00, which is an excellent deal. My sister told me that she has seen pictures of beach weddings with bubbles blowing all around the bride and groom as they walk down the aisle and that they look absolutely beautiful because the bubbles pick up all the colours. ~~
  6. Well I am glad that I'm not the only one who is worried about when to give them out. I'm thinking that it will be after we go to town- I really want some Mexican flar to put in them. What local things are you thinking about putting in them? In fact, what are you putting in your OOT bags? What is your price list per bag? Are you worried about your guests reactions to them? ~~

You know, I've heard that before. Plus, you know when you look through the travel books, and they say stuff like- book early and save $380 per couple or something like that? Well, our discounted group rate is saving us less than that. I am torn, I don't know what to do. Oh, on a side note. I went out and I bought my bikinis for the trip- total of eight new pairs!!!! ~~
  8. So I know that we are suppose to put the OOT bags in our guests rooms prior to their arrival, but, what about those guests that arrive at the same time that we do? And, another question. We want to go to Playa Del Carmen and pick up some trinkets and maybe local candy or something for our OOT bags. Obviously, this would have to happen the second day there. So, how can we do that and still get the OOT bags in the rooms before the guests arrive? Today I'm freaking out about the little things.... ~~
  9. As I am interested in the orchid. Orchids is what my fiance bought for my after our last miscarriage, we have had four, so they are very dear to me. ~~
  10. I just got my package quote from my TA. However, she got screwed up on it, and quoted us departure on the day that we want to get married!!!! So, now I'm waiting for my new quote. But, the prices ranged from $3000.00 to $3200.00. My question is though: looking through the travel books from last season, as in this season here, with the early bird bookings, it is the same amount of savings that I got with our group rate. I don't understand what the group rate actually does considering that it seems like nothing. ~~
  11. Ladies, Here is some candles that I am including in my OOT bag for the guests. Two per bag. ~~
  12. Ladies, Here are some pictures. I had to take them with my webcam because I can't find my camera. Opps!!!! I'm in the middle of finals right now so everything is buried under books and paper. The little two are samples for kids that are coming, but if there are teenagers, they will get big bags. Anyway, I have 40 of them, all of them are different colours , which I like, because everyone won't be matching on the beach. That's our cat Ichigo. He likes the bags. ~~
  13. You can't find a photog? Oh my goodness, that blows. Have you talked to local people to maybe fly them down? I still can't believe your BM made you return their dresses. I'm sorry but I've been a BM lots, and there were plenty of dresses that looked like sh*t, but the thing about being a BM- You don't bloody-well complain about the dress. Even if you don't like it, it doesn't matter. Grrrr, for a wedding in 2010, I have to wear a tie-dyed jean-made out of jean pants- dress, do you hear me complaining? Some people have no class. LoL, sorry, that just pisses me off about your BMs. Especially when the dresses are beautiful. ~~
  14. So, on the advice of the girls on this forum, I visited our local Dollarama and found what I was looking for. They are perfect beach bags, I will post a picture of them when I get the chance. The best part of them, they were only a dollar. So, I only used like 1/3 of my OOT bag budget. I'm so excited. ~~

  16. Oh no!!!! I live in Saskatchewan and Dollar Trees don't exist. ~~
  17. You must be getting so excited, I'm still 9 months away, and I'm bursting!!!! Oh, and I read your post about your BM dresses, I really liked them. I'm going to order a few pairs for Mexico. ~~

Thanks!!!! ~~

I had to convince my fiance so badly about getting a photographer. He is like, "We can just rely on our friends...." LoL- I don't think so. So, I found a local girl and she is coming over on Sunday for an interview, I didn't ask him, I just told him. LoL. ~~
  20. I am currently awaiting my travel agent to write me back with my group package price for these hotels. I'm so excited. One question though: I heard that they don't allow outside photographers on site. What about if I brought my photographer from Canada down with me? She is giving me a great deal, I pay for her stay, she gives me free pictures. ~~
