  1. One of the PP asked if there is a difference between combo locks and key locks? Does anyone know which one is safer? I think I'm going to be adding locks to my OOT bags. Plus, what about the water-proof containters from OT? Are they really waterproof? ~~
  2. That's a really good idea. I'm going to go and check it out. ~~
  3. Want to know my secret? Here it is. I'm crazy addicted to OOT bags too. I'm currently thinking that I will need 25 to 30 bags, hopeing that 50-60 people will come, probably won't though. Anyway, my original budget is $10.00/bag, but I'm thinking about increasing that. I don't want to put 'tacky' things in my OOT bags, so I'm opting for things that I know my guests will like. My budget now? I have no idea.... ~~
  4. Thanks!!!! I'm now debating about what time, I know that you went with 3:00p.m. and I'm kind of thinking that too, but I don't know. 5:00p.m. is very tempting. You are getting so close to your wedding date!!!! OMG- I'm getting nervous for you- are you excited? Worried at all? Anything? ~~
  5. Way to go on the travel mugs. Sidenote: I spent the evening with my parents and my Dad told me to put travel mugs in our OOT bags. I'm thinking that if my Dad knows about the the usefulness of travel mugs at resorts, and he hasn't even gone to one before, then it is a good bet that they will be well recieved. ~~

Side, back, front, back metal comb, the tag is still on it, ribbon, closeup of ribbon and tulle. LMAO- You said "Poo"!!!! I love the pictures- there is something about a pj's and a veil that makes me giggle crazily. Um, what's with the expression? You should sneak that look into some of your wedding photos. ~~
  7. So I went with the group bookings and things are working out great. 19 people have booked so far. I know that there will probably be some stragglers that are already starting to cause me stress for my OOT bags. What did you guys do with your OOT bags and people who came last minute? ~~
  8. Uh yes!!!! I could not get ahold of my wedding co-ordinator. My TA ended up calling the hotel like 5 times in one day. But on a side note- we have a "confirmed" wedding date. February 12th 2009. ~~
  9. I like this one better than the first one. You leave on Monday? Oh boy.... ~~
  10. Thanks ladies for the brilliant ideas. I'm going to run out to Michael's and find me some cake toppers!!!! ~~
  11. It's very pretty. I like it, but I don't plan on wearing a veil. Have you tried other boards to sell it? ~~

  13. I had this debate for like 2 seconds with myself, but then I decided to do it. I had actually heard of the OOT bags before I had gone to this forum too. We are going to carry all the stuff down with us, because my sisters are only coming down for a week, so they have offered room in their suitcases for eveything. I'm not putting that much stuff in the bags, mainly things that I think that I would use myself. I keep finding awesome deals at the Dollarama here, such as body lotion and body wash, mainly because whenever I travel, I always forget to bring that stuff. Plus, I have heard rumors that hotel soup dries the skin out. Plus, one of the local parks close to our hotel is an eco-system protected thingy, so inorder to go swimming there, you need to be wearing bio-degradable sun screen, so I'm going to put some of that in the bags for my guests. ~~
  14. I'm looking for ostrich feathers for our centre pieces. Our wedding colours are Fuschia, Turquoise, and a little bit of green. I'm looking for white feathers, but any colour that would match these colours would work perfectly. Thanks. ~~
  15. LoL- it is a good idea. I just wish that my wedding co-ordinator would get back to me. She hasn't even "confirmed" my wedding date yet. Ugh.... ~~
  16. LoL.... I'm calling you a nasty name right now.... Just kidding!!!! ~~
  17. Awesome, thanks ladies. I didn't see anything about ostrich feathers so I think it will be okay. But, just to be certain, I'll ask the wedding co-ordinator when I finally get ahold of her. ~~
  18. I really want Ostrich feathers to be incorporated in my centre pieces, however, my fiance is unsure because he does not know if we can bring the feathers into Mexico or not. Does anyone know if we can? ~~
  19. At the Barcelo, for my understanding, they do not allow actual vendors from Mexico on site- they must stay at the hotel as guests. ~~
  20. We had a meeting with the photographer that we decided to go with and told him that we were certain that he was the one that we wanted to go with but we would email him/ phone him once we got the dates set for the departures. Well, I have been attempting to get ahold of him now for about two weeks and he won't return any of my calls nor will he answer any of my emails- and I want to book him, not decline him. What do I do? I know that our wedding is 9 months away, but because of stupid Transat, we have had to bump our wedding date up by a week, making it right over Valentine's Day, we are finding it very difficult to find a photog to take with us. We are working on a budget here- my fiance didn't even want a photog so he has only given me $2500.00 to work with- which would have covered the cost of our original photographer for a week in the hotel; we are getting married at the Barcelo Colonial, Mayan Riviera. Any suggestions? ~~
  21. Were they in the make up section of the Dollarama? ~~
  22. I've always wondered how you make gel candles. I saw those in one of the stores here, it was a Dollar Store Plus, which is not even remotely close to a Dollar Store- Walmart is cheaper than that place!!!! Anyway, they had these beautiful gel candles that had sand, starfish in the bottom of them. ~~

I really want to get it done on his actual birthday, but will wait if need be. I don't think that it will get infected, my tattoos healed in like 4 days or so. Just make certain that they don't scab over, and if they do- don't pick at it, which is hard because it gets itchy. But I would talk to a tattoo artist about it. Haha, I just found another tattoo I want to get before I get married, it's a bird that goes over the hip. LoL. ~~
