  1. I got a head start on my shopping as soon as we decided to get married in Mexico. The reason for us is like you, I knew that I couldn't spend a lot of money closer to the wedding because I go to university and I don't work during the semesters. Plus, we are getting married in Feb., so finding fab. finds closer to our wedding date just won't happen, not in Saskatchewan atleast. I agree with Sunbride, set a price limit per bag, you can always increase it later on, or, if you find something really cool, you won't freak out over having one amazing gift in the bags. ~~
  2. We got one for every couple. However, in the bags their are male and female items, or doubles of certain things [travel mugs]. ~~
  3. We aren't have a wedding party either. We started off wanted 4 to stand for both of us [my two sisters, his two sister, then three of his friends and one of my brother-in-laws] but then that started a lot of drama because he wasn't asking the other brother-in-law. Then the other three friends said that they wouldn't come. We, just like one of the PP, decided a DW because we didn't want the stress of it, and we felt like this was causing too much stress, so we just veto'd the whole wedding party. Everyone understands. What we are doing though- to make the four sisters feel special, is we are giving them fuschia parasols, our moms pink, me green, and the rest of the female guests white ones. Then, they all feel 'special' because they got different colour parasols. ~~
  4. I like the palm tree topper a lot. It would look good with swarovski crystals on it. ~~
  5. You can also do wine charms, that is what we are doing for our reception favours. Mind you we are also filling up OOT bags too. ~~
  6. Thanks ladies, I'm going to have to go to Michael's this weekend- my paper cutter crapped out on me. You know what is sad? There are staff members at Michael's who I'm on a first name basis. ~~
  7. Oh, thanks for sending me this link. I would love these to throw into my bags. Hmmmm, I have to talk to my fiance about them. ~~
  8. I bought these a long time ago, but now are making pocket-fold invitations. There are around 95 invitations and envelopes and 100 RSVP cards and envelopes. Both come in packages of 50, one package has been opened [that is where the 5 are missing from]. They are ivory with a pearl raised border. I really like them, just don't have a need for them, and would rather have a bride who needs invitations. Heather ~~
  9. I hear you, all I think about is my wedding at the Maya. I'm so happy that we decided to go with that place. However, I still have yet to pick my wedding package- my fiance and I cannot agree on what to do. I want the reception outside or at the grill, and Gabriela [our wedding planner] told us that's the most expensive package. Well, my fiance is being cheap and wants one of the cheaper ones, but is complaining about the menu. Anyway, I think that [by Friday] we need to pick our package, thank goodness that I have already confirmed my day and time. ~~
  10. I found these favour boxes today on Weddingstar.com and I fell inlove with them. I totally want them, but they are very expensive- $30.00 for 12 boxes. My fiance will flip when he hears that price- just for boxes- they cost more then my OOT bags!!!! But they are made out of wood, have a hinge, and I think would showcase out wine charms very nicely. They are going to sit on a starfish charger plate, on the dinner plates. What do you think? Heather ~~
  11. They are so cute, I love them so much. I would put a few in your favour box- we are giving out wine charms to our guests, and they are getting four in our box. ~~
  12. 15 of the blue and pink stripe bags have been spoken for. That leaves 10 blue and green stripe left and 11 of the checkered ones. The material that they are made out of is a cotton blend, with a mesh lining inside. The straps are unknown. Thanks ~~
  13. Boo, I will need about 50 of them. Do you mind if I ask you where you got them from? Heather ~~
  14. Hey gal, do you only have three hats left? Those cooling wrap thingys are a great idea. Very Australian. ~~
  15. Hi Ladies, I bought these OOT bags prematurely and now have gone out and bought different ones that fit my theme and colour pattern better. I have 35 of them. I got them for $1.00 each, so I'm asking $30.00 for the lot. None have been used, they all still have tags attached. They are pretty nice, plus they have a mesh liner in them. I'm comparing it in size to a school binder. ~~
  16. I love the cat in the sink. I thought that mine were the only strange ones that love to sit in the sink. Every morning I need to clean out my sink because there is so much cat hair in it!!!! ~~
  17. Quick question, how many starfish do you have? I'm totally interested in them. Thanks!!!! ~~
  18. Those are so cool!!!! I want them for my house, they would rock during a party. ~~
  19. Oh one more thing ladies, you can choice your own backing, a lot of the flowers do not have backings set yet. Thanks!!!! ~~
  20. Dildo NFLD? My parents went there a few years ago, and we are planning a little trip there next summer. What's your relationship to NFLD? ~~
  21. Haha, well, since I don't shop at the Dollarama in S'toon.... Just Regina!!!! I got them online, some from Gails', some from another shoppe, all over the place. I have been collecting them for many many months now. My office looks like a garden!!!! ~~
  22. Here is what the backs look like. The bigger flowers have a bobby pin that is 2.75" and if the flower has a stem, then it is wrapped in a satin ribbon. If the flower is smaller than 2", I put it on a normal size bobby pin. I also have some on the hair clips, and I'm going to go out and buy the combs now that someone has mentioned it. The bobby pins are one that I got my hairdresser to pick up for me from a hair supple shoppe, she said that they are heavy duty type. Whatever that means. Thanks!!!! ~~
