  1. Anna - wishing you a BEAUTIFUL wedding...I'm sure everything will be just lovely so enjoy yourself! Can't wait to hear all about it when you return as a married woman!!! Trish & Brooke - good luck girls, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll get your dream wedding in Tulum after all, but if not, I'm certain everything will work out beautifully in the end anyway! Big Hugs!!!
  2. Brooke, Trish, Anna...is there anything we can do to help right now? maybe make phone calls to help replan some of your activities? let us know!!!
  3. My FI and I attended a wedding in Montana last summer and it was a great trip. We got to go hiking and visit the national parks the week before the wedding and it was a blast. The wedding we attended was at Holland Lake Lodge...it was beautiful, but small...and not near Bozeman, we actually flew into Missoula, so not sure that's any help to you, but I'm happy to contact the bride for her vendor list if you're interested!
  4. question - i just noticed in the wedding guide that they charge $18 per table for linens (and then $18/$15 for overlays)...so does that mean I'm going to pay $18 per table just for the standard white tablecloth and napkins? if that's the case, that's fine, I just want to make sure I'm accounting for it in my budget. also, anyone know if we can have a cigar roller and how much that costs? i know there is a roming cigar roller at Dreams Cancun, but I never noticed one at DT and I want to have him come roll cigars at our welcome cocktail hour.
  5. Has anyone created a cartoon map or paid to have a cartoon map created? I want to include one on a reception card with my invitation and then have a large printed version so our guests can sign it instead of a guest book...?
  6. thanks, ladies! i guess i'm really looking for a cartoon map which just has my specific locations on it...maybe i need to figure out how to make one myself
  7. Hey Ladies...I'm putting together my invitations (yay!) and I need to include a "reception" card with travel agent info and our wedding website. On the other side of the card, I want to include a little map showing the location of cancun, the airport, and tulum so people can get an idea of where they'll be. I can't find a simple map that i can cut and paste, but thought one of you might have one...
  8. I'm putting together the reception card for my invitations and I want to include a very simple & small map (reception card size) showing the location of Cancun, Cancun Airport, and Tulum Mexico. I can't seem to find one online that I can cut/paste into my template. Anyone have something handy I could pirate? TIA!!!

Can someone point me in the right direction...or page?? we're using capt ricks...http://www.captricksfishing.com/
  10. oh sweeite, i'm so sorry for your loss...my heart aches for you and your family. hold tight to them and lean when you need to...
  11. Clarendon might also be a good option, though its technically outside DC in Arlington VA...but still lots of stuff to do and walk to and really convenient to the metro
  12. YAY for a new car!!! that's always so exciting! can't wiat to see pics of your bach!
  13. the standard round tables for the reception are 60" (8-10pp per table). we booked the 5 hour package with Claudia...figure to have her start an hour before the ceremony for getting ready pics and stay through cutting the cake...
  14. Question - do/did you include dinner for Landy and the DJ at your reception? I know to include Claudia Rodriguez (our photog), but not sure about the WC and resort DJ...?
  15. i checked out a bunch of different shops on my own before my mom and sisters arrived so i'd know which ones we should visit together, so i think its a good idea to check out the shop tonight and see if its worth a later visit with your family
  16. we just booked our honeymoon flights to Hawaii - 5 days in Kauai, 5 days on the Big Island. we're trying to figure out which resorts/hotels to book for our stay and have been on tripadvisor but didn't find it very helpful...so wondering where others are staying... we're planning to do a lot of hiking and water sports, but we'll have a car on both islands so doesn't really matter where we stay... any recos?
  17. LOVE IT!!! and its such a great shape for your bod - congrats!!!
  18. I haven't chosen a song yet, but my dad and i aren't particularly close so i'm not doing an "announced" father-daughter dance...i'll just choose a song and when the dj plays it, i'll find my dad and dance with him. keeps the uncomfortable all alone center of attention thing down, but we'll still have a dance together.
  19. Fridays are fine for a DW...our guests are arriving Wednesday and Thursday so there'd still be time for a rehearsal dinner before the wedding on Friday. Go for it!
  20. the rule of thumb is 2-3 yards per chair...you can try it out at home and see if you prefer longer or shorter trailing ends of the bow to determine the exact length (if you're picky)
  21. the lounge furniture is $450 + 10% tax for 2 small sofas, 4 cube seats, and table, and yes, this is going to be in addition to our standard tables and chairs for the reception dinner
  22. karla asked me about where we're thinking of setting up the lounge furniture for our Seaside Grill reception so here's what we're thinking... this little group of palm trees is just to the side of the SG (that's the SG there on the right) you may choose to walk through these tress as part of your aisle if your outdoor wedding is at this beach site this area is on the other side of Seaside Grill and if the weather cooperates, will serve as our dance floor so we may decide to set up the lounge furniture somewhere here instead lastly, this area is obviously right in front of the Seaside Grill (in the lower left hand corner you can see the edge of the platform the restaurant sits on) if we go with the first or last option, we are going to string paper lanterns across the trees to make the area more special and offer lighting Hope this helps!!!
