I'm a fuschia bride too! I'm actually going with fuschia and orange...I think, right now anyway. I feel like I change my mind everyday and my wedding is a little over 3 months away. I changed from Mocha/Lilac, so thats why my momogram is in those colors. I just feel like fuschia is more festive and I keep seeing it and loving it, so I took it as a sign. Great ideas on here girls...keep 'em coming, I'm not so creative so I need lots of help. JennyK, I just looked at your wedding planning blog and you have so many good ideas, they awesome...thanks!!

As for the menu, we just went ahead and picked....We chose the Chicken from the Silver Menu, b/c in our opinion...the steak we had down there wasn't really all that great...and the Chicken is supposed to be from the Portofino menu, which was the best place to eat..we thought! And everyone likes chicken right?? Everything else was from the gold menu except the Dark Chocolate Cake which we also figured....who doesn't like chocolate cake?? At this point Brooke...my guests are being pains in the asses..they're lucky I'm feeding them! You're probably right. I'm sure they'll be fine with whatever I choose, and I'm sure the resort can accommodate if I have a vegetarian or two. I am the most indecisive person on the planet. I keep changing my colors!! I have now decided to do a champagne color BM dress with the orange and fuschia flowers and accents...I think! I just keep seeing all of this stuff I like! I need major help.

I tried Googling Nirvanna Designs and didn't have any luck finding the shoes. Their website says it is still under construction. Regarding your menu, did you just choose the selections?...or did you ask some of your guests what they would prefer and just go with the majority? I really hate that we have to pick one option from each. I sent Landy an email asking about the SG again and that I was already told I could have it. Hopefully she will tell me the same thing as she did you. Fingers crossed!!

Looks good Trish! I hadn't even thought about doing a menu!...guess I should work on that!

I actually thought about shipping some stuff down there too. I just dread packing all of it in my luggage, especially if I have a ton. At least shipping some of the stuff, I know you have to do it at least a month in advance, thats what I've heard. Trish, the new wedding guide is in this post somewhere...I just looked at it the other day and I have know idea what page its on! I'll try to find it cause I want to print it. Found it!!!...its on page 73 post #723

Quote: I do have to change plans from ordering the lantern things though Brooke...Trav mentioned that if we end up getting put in the banquet room it wouldn't be worth it. So I'm holding out until I hear back from Landy! Another thing I did last night though, I went through all my Bridal Magazines and ripped out all the pages I had dog eared (b/c I always forget what mag...what page) and put them in piles based on :makeup, hair, accessories, cakes, flowers, and decorations. I did come across a BEAUTIFUL pair of starfish sandals...the starfish kind of looked liked your pin Brooke...but thought it would look awesome with anyone who was doing a Starfish theme..if you girls are interested I send out the designer and price! Good call on the lanterns Trish, I didn't even think about that. If you don't get the SG, where were you going to do the dinner/reception? I was thinking of the other place,EL Patio?...or the beach dinner. I really don't want to have it inside in the ballroom. I was doing the exact same think with tearing out pages from all of my bride magazines...it helps me get a mental image of everything, other wise I'm just scatterbrained! Yes, I really want to see the starfish sandals you found! I've been on a mission the last few days to find some shoes. Thnaks Trish!

Yeah, let us know. I think I will send her another email too, because since I made my reservation before they changed the rules, I was told that we could rent the SG...and of course now that there is a possibility that I may not get it, I really really want it!! Isn't that how it always goes?! I'm scared that another bride on my day may get it instead...how does that work? When I had originally asked for it, she didn't mention anything about another bride wanting it. I hope thats the case and that I have priority since hoepfully I asked first. I really wish they only did one wedding per day. It would make things much easier!

Anyone have any suggestions as to how many Also..I am going to buy the ribbon I need for my ceremony fans and do them tomorrow as well.... That way I have 3 things off my list! Trish, what fans are/did you order? I just ordered some, about 40, I think I posted the link for them a few pages back. BTW, what colors are you using? I love the votives and think they would work great. I've been looking for inspiration pics to use so I'll know exactly what I want to do. I've decided to use fuschia/orange instead of mocha/lilac. It just seems more festive. I found some ball lantern thingies on one of the websites I've been searching on. I wasn't sure how many either. Maybe we can decide and I can order some too.

Trish, we are probably in the same exact spot as far as things left to do. hopefully us coordinating some things will make it easier for us. I posted it in the DT brides post here thread, but I got my starfish bouquet jewelry in today!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

NOW they are telling me we will have to wait until 1 month prior to reserve I haven't asked, but what if there is another wedding on that day that want the same thing? how does that work? I'm really annoyed at the fact that all the details are changing right now. They should keep everything the SAME for those booked, and only start the changes with brides who have yet to book! brooke, as for the seaside grill..it's awesome! I only have like 22 out of the 50 people invited booked so far...and I think it's the ideal location! it's not overwhelmingly big! I promise to call..this summer has honestly gotten away from me so quickly!! I got your email earlier too...yeah, just call when you get a chance. We can talk about lots of details! I got my starfish bouquet jewelry in today....it is sooooooooo cute! I am so happy with it. Here's a pic, if I can get it to work... the pic was way to big. let me see if i can make it smaller...still didn't work, i'll keep trying finally!

Darlin Ombre Halter Dress I tried the website from dillards. let see if it works? Those are really cute...I found some similar ones today at Macy's but they are fuschia. I thought they were cool because they didn't really look like BM dresses and thats what I want. I've actually decide to change my colors from mocha and lilac to fuschia and orange. I had debated between the two and chose mocha and lilac cause it seemed different, and I like being different, but I keep seeing fuschia and orange and I just love it. Besides, when I think about it it seems more festive. I haven't bought anything in the other colors so I'm pretty safe to change. I need help with shoes. This may be a longshot, but its worth a try...I found some shoes in Brides magazine in the Nov/Dec 2007 issue. They are on page 434 and they are Yellow Box "Cage" wedge sandals. I have searched everywhere and cannot find them at all, so no pic. They are so pretty and I think they are perfect to wear for the reception. I really want them but can't find them! If anybody can help I would love it!!! I even tried to do a search for them on the forum but had no luck.

I'm not sure where you would actually put it for the dances. Thats why I pretty much decided against using it. I think there are lots of other places you could do dancing without having to rent it. I guess, I get so confused about all of these details. Now I kinda wish we would have done a site visit.

Ok girls, I'm finally ready to start taking care of all of the details now. Until today, I hadn't bought anything for the actual wedding/reception as far as favors and decorations go. I was trying to wait until I knew how many people were coming, but I will try to buy extra of everything and can always add stuff if I half to. I bought some fans for the ceremony and some starfish bottle stoppers to use as favors/OOT bags. I also bought the starfish pin for my bouquet! It felt so good to finally make my first purchases!!!! I'm going to try to post links to show what I bought, but no promises. Buy Wedding Sandalwood Fan - Wedding Sandalwood Fan Online - Discount Wedding Sandalwood Fan Buy Wedding Starfish Bottle Stopper - Wedding Starfish Bottle Stopper Online - Discount Wedding Starfish Bottle Stopper) Simply Flowers - Products - Bouquet Jewels The pin is the starfish one. My wedding gown finally came in but of course it is too big. I need major alterations. I will post picks as soon as I get some taken of me in it, even though it is too big. I hope these links work...I have know idea if I did it right.

That's what I loved about it. You can hear the waves crashing but you don't have to get dirty in the sand. So its kinda open, not really closed in? So by using it as half tables and half dance floor, you wouldn't really have to rent the dance floor?...I thought that seemed kind of expensive. FI really thinks we should reserve SG, but I just wanted to make sure it was worth it. Thanks for clearing it up!!! I haven't really done anything for the actual reception, as far as buying favors, decorations or anything yet. I was trying to wait until I knew about how many people were coming. I'm tired of waiting! I bought the first things tonight!...fans and starfish bottle stoppers for favors! I was so excited. I told FI that I was in super wedding mode now...ready to start buying things!

I use Splenda and will probably continue to use it no matter if they say its bad for you or not, it has less calories! We actually had a discussion about this at work today because I got a diet soda. I got an email right after saying how bad diet soda is for you and that it can cause cancer and actually make you fatter than regular soda. WTF! If you read evetything thats out there, you will actually see that everything we consume or do is bad for us. There is always something that will give you cancer. Next thing we know they'll be saying "breathing is bad, it'll give you cancer. don't breathe". I do believe that you should take things in moderation, too much of anything can be bad. I try to eat good and not drink a lot of soda, but when you're craving a diet coke, you need a diet coke!! haha

OK, I have a question about reserving the Seaside Grille for a private reception...So far, I only have about 22 people booked, not sure how many more will book. From reading the new DT wedding guide, it says the SG is rented to have an inside reception. I actually want the reception outside. There may be a question that answers this in the thread, but I've read through tons of posts and haven't found an answer yet. So, is it worth it for me to pay the $750 to keep the SG private? Is there an outside area where people will stay versus being inside, because I'm at the beach and I want everything to be outside near the ocean!! Should I pay the $750 or just have it at one of the outside places the guide lists? I would like it to be more private, but just wondering if I should rent the whole rest. for just that many people. I'm confused. Anybody have suggestions, what is everyone else doing?

You're back! I was wondering where you were, although I really knew you were super busy cause you are such an awesome photog! We're getting close, guess I need to think about getting your trip details lined out!!! Brooke

They better not up the charge on me now!! ARGH! My guess is the lobster upgrade is the 'platinum' Sunbride, I think one or two of the new shots in the guide are from your wedding!!! yay! Your famous! I saw where they increased the price of the gold dinner too...they better not charge me more either! I have been booked since Jan 08. I don't think they would do that , but you never know. I really like the idea of starting a new thread as well. I keep telling myself when I really start getting all of the details togehter, I will go back through this thread to get all questions answered and get some ideas, but the idea of reading through everything terrifies me!!
