Okay, so I'm grossly late getting here, but here I am. With the trip to Mexico and the move, I've been a teensy busy. It's interesting to me to hear you guys comment on how much David loved Nora. To me, I didn't see love - not by my definition anyway - I see David as obsessing. He follows her thru the department store, marries quickly, hides the truth about Phoebe, and then starts photographing her body as landscape. I didn't se respect for Norah as an individual or appreciation of her intellect. I think David was trying to find someone fragile to protect the way he couldn't protect his sister. In my mind, he saw Norah (initially) as a beautiful, fragile, timid creature. And then when she started exerting herself, he saw her as less and less human (almost) because he realized she didn't need his constant protection.

I like Summer Secret Elf! And I can't wait! I've got all kinds of kooky ideas for summertime gifts for my elfee!

Ugh. Really ugh! But, as was said earlier, these people are going to be part of your world for a VERY long time. So, as much as I hate to say it (because it's a pill I have to swallow, too), chalk it up to the cost of being in love and move on. Chances are your relationship with FSIL and FMIL will never be amazing, but no point making it worse than it has to be. (Can someone give me the same advice? God knows I need it, too.)

Okay... so, in my lame efforts to keep up with Maura... I'm currently (as we speak waiting for confirmation of the time for our welcome dinner) and then I'll finish printing invites. The ring has been selected, but we haven't gone down to pick it up yet. It's akin to this: Our cake is going to be something like this, with the gold ribbon but instead of red calla lillies it will have pale pink roses, and it will be tres leches: Our centerpieces will be like this, only with bright pink rosepetals instead of orchids: I received the pictures of my bouquet and I LOVE it!!! Here is something like the dress I'm going to wear to my shower on the 7th: For our OOT bags, with the move, I haven't ordered anything, but here's what we have: These are our OOT bags, only with navy straps, and our logo on the pocket: These are our mugs for the OOT bags: These are the hats for the OOT bags, only white instead of red, with our logo's palm tree and "Riviera Maya" across the front: I go for my first dress fitting next week. We're still waiting on final pricing for everything for the wedding, which we've been promised by tomorrow, and then we're about done except for fans, menus and placecards.

Oooooh! I like Drea's idea. Can we vote for everyone? If not, I concur with Abbie and Ann.
