Does anyone know where to get passport stamps for my invites
becks replied to meltanirie's topic in Random Thoughts
There are a bunch in one of my passport threads. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16771 -
(continued) They all decided to go on a hiking trip, and a new ferret-toting system had to be developed. Several attempts were made before they found a successful means: But eventually they managed: They all went hiking on a moutain called Max Patch, right off the Appalacian trail. Just before they reached the top, Nibblet did something to distract everyone: While everyone was watching Nibblet, Mike proposed. So, tomorrow, Morgan and Mike will have their legal ceremony. Nibblet is beside himself with joy and excitement. He even has his outfit picked out: And then later this month, they will all be traveling to Mexico to have their destination wedding. Nibblet has been instrumental in the planning. He helped pick out the flowers: Assisting with DIY projects: There are even rumors that he’s given Morgan some tips for her wedding night: And so, on the eve of her the day of her legal ceremony, we all wish Morgan, our star DIYer, the happiest of ever afters:

First - my apologies for the adulteration of Morgan's engagement story. Ahem: Mike, Morgan and Nibblet moved to North Carolina 3 years ago so Morgan could go to grad school at Duke. Mike and Morgan drove from Texax, but Nibblet took a less conventional means of transport: Once in North Carolina, Morgan began her studies and Nibblet enrolled as a part time student. While Morgan was a very dilligent student, Nibblet was less devoted: Nibblet was, however, very involved in th e community at Duke. He dated the head cheerleader: and was the life of the party at the fraternity house: Mike and Morgan's favorite thing to do in North Carolina is hiking. Nibblet often rides along in Morgan's pack: Morgan is always careful to make sure Nibblet stays warm by putting him in one of his two favorite hats: Back in June 2007, not long after Morgan’s birthday… …Mike's mom & sisters came out to see us for a vacation and brought their ferrets:

I'm sure verything will go well but I guess I felt "safe" knowing that we sat with her specifically for 3 hours going through things. Plus I thought she had a great demeanor and energy. I received a similar note last night. I'm SO sad!!! Elisa was great! That's not to say that Perla isn't great too, because I adore her, but Elisa was our planner and made some wonderful suggestions. I didn't hear anything about Orfanel - I guess because we're coming up on the wedding so quickly he won't really play a part in things for us. boohoo!

"Name this flower" please :)...I'm totally stuck :(

I can't see the image too clearly, but it looks a whole lot like Delphinium, except that Delphinium ususally grow in long stalks: Could also be Campanula: -
I'm toying with the idea of walking down to Hans Zimmer's "You're So Cool" from True Romance. I like the beachy sound of it, plus I want something that the DJ can fade out when I get to the front (instrumental), and I also want to make sure I get there without getting all weepy. What do you think? YouTube - True Romance # You're so cool! - Hans Zimmer For our recessional, we're probably going with Bob Sinclair's "Love Generation". Fun... Happy... Plus, they play it when the Rangers win, so FI thinks it's a great idea. (He also pushed hard for the "Goal" song) YouTube - Bob Sinclair - Love Generation (clip)

You could put them on T-shirts... or bandanas? Of course, there's another expense... Are they already printed? If not, you could sell them.

I won the travel mug dispute!!!!

Woo hoo!!! Victory! And don't you just love that the impetus came from a totally innocent outside party!?!? Say it with me: Neener-neener-neener! -
***UPDATE - The new card is now in post #19 - I'd love your thoughts!*** FI is no help... I received "all of them are nice" and "whichever one you want" in response to my request for his preference. So obviously I'm turning to you! Which one do you like best Option 1: Simple border with pink initials Option 2: White font on blue with logo at the bottom Option 3: Blue background with pink initials Any other thoughts? I'd love to hear them!

I love people. They make me laugh. Seriously, who does this stuff? And how in the world do they justify it as acceptible??
-
that is a frikkin riot! Who does stuff like that?!?!?! Did no one tell her??
-
You guys are the best! I'm going to the drug store tonight to see what they have to offer. I was so bummed, because my dentist does the superfast light-treated whitening, but charges an arm and 2.7 legs! So, not so much. But now I have hope that I will have pretty white teeth for my wedding! Woo hoo!
-
So, with the purchase of the house, having my dentist bleach my teeth is no longer in the budget, because $$$$$!!! I called and cancelled the appointment and asked if they had any recommendations on OTC products, and was told that... yes, Crest white strips, but better if I could find something without peroxide and/or baking soda. Has anyone used any OTC products? Did you find any problems (sensitivity) because of the peroxide? What are your thoughts? Did it work? Was it good enough for photos? How long do they last, etc.? TIA!!

Thanks ladies! This is really helpful!!! I still don't know how I'm going to bring it up. I won't actually see my dad until we're in Mexico for the wedding, and I don't really know how this conversation will play out over the phone. Maybe I'll enlist the assistance of my sister (she lives out where he is), and get her to tell him all about my plans for the ceremony (and my solo entrance) - then when I do see him I can talk with him about it.

paradisus riviera maya site review

Excellent reivew Phoebe! I am, of course, biased to an extreme, but I adore the Paradisus. Anna, I'm sure you'll find it to have everything you could want! -

I would definitely look into that. Do you know if there is a maximum number you can have without the charge? Thanks!! anna I don't know. But we're having around 40, so at least that many. (In the same breath, we assured her that at least 30 of the 40 would be having lobster, so they may have given us some flexibility because of the extra fees we're paying.)

Okay, I need some pointers. I've got NO idea how to start the conversation, and I'm dreading it. I don't want my dad to walk me down the aisle. I get that it's a lovely tradition and for many brides it's a big meaningful thing. And I LOVE my dad! But... it's just not what I want. I've lived on my own for longer than I lived at home, and the notion of having my father hand me off to FI just strikes me as trite and so very not me. The plan is that I'll walk myself down the stairs from the deck to the beach, FI will meet me at the bottom of the stairs and we'll walk up to the gazebo-thingy together. So, how do I tell him? Anyone have any ideas that would be tactful and gracious? I don't want to hurt his feelings, but I don't want to give in on this point out of guilt, either. Thanks!!
