  1. A guy I was dating years ago gave me a hickey. I couldn't believe it! But, he did show me how to get rid of it... at least it worked when it was fresh. Take a comb (the regular old kind your dad carries), and comb over the spot a whole bunch of times - in the direction of the blood flow (so up and down on your neck.) Your neck will be all red for a while, but it will help the blood under your skin break up. Let your skin rest for 30 minutes or so and do it again. It won't be totally gone, but it will make it look less like your FI is related to a Hoover upright.

And, with shipping, shipping insurance, etc. it came out to just over $6 per mug. If we'd stuck with a single color logo, it would have been cheaper, but we liked the two color. And we aren't putting that much into the OOT bags, just mugs and hats and a handful of printed stuff that is all but free.
  3. Well.... not great. But it was the best I could do. I couldn't get a small enough pixel to put the bright white line down the shore. But the junk is gone. See what you think. Don't use it if it's not good enough.
  4. Hi Martha, I'll take a crack at it, too. (I'm so bored at work today!) Do you want the legend removed as well?

I'm trying to get a sense for what size I'll need. I know that 9" is a bit small but 14" may be too big... We got the 14" bag. For me the size is perfect for the beach. Big enough for all the stuff you want to carry. I wouldn't want it any smaller. I actually ordered a sample and have been carrying all my stuff around in it lately. The bags are awesome.
  6. OMG!!! That is truly one of the most awful things I've ever heard! Who does S**t lik that? Whoever it is better hope he's never found, because he won't live to see the end of his prison term.
  7. Generally, Cancun is not, to the best of my knowledge, considered the Riviera Maya. However, the Moon Palace is south of Cancun, and even if not technically part of the RM (though I would argue it is), then it's close enough for government work. More importantly, if you want your stuff to say RM, they should say RM!
  8. Love them! I can't wait to see them in person, but here's what discountmugs.com sent as the proof: Thanks to you creative ladies who came up with the "to have and to hold" wording. Too cute, and FI LOVES it!
  9. I'm checking things off my list left and right! Bags are done, contents are designed and ordered, menu cards for the welcome dinner are printed, waiting on menu selections for people for the wedding dinner, but I'm getting them laid out as I get the info. Had my second dress fitting yesterday (LOVE my dress!), Bought FI's shirt, shoes and (surprise) tie over the weekend. Luggage tags are done, pre-travel brochure is designed, welcome book is almost done, I've started putting ribbon on the fans and the wedding rings should be in next week. Not much left. Have to book a make up session, my final haircut and color, go to my last fitting, buy cufflinks for FI, confirm all travel arrangements, make arrangements for transfers to the hotel for everyone, do a seating plan, have a legal ceremony, pack and fly! Woohoo!
  10. Go Missy!!! I'm so excited for you! I'm sure the photos will be amazing! I like the idea of some good, sexy music! And I'm always a supporter of wine!
  11. Yay Lisa! Happy, happy birthday! And you're never alone on your b-day with all of us around!
  12. Big hugs! I know it's tough, because you want to focus on happy, special things. And so you feel guilty for wanting to think about the wedding, on top of everything else. Keep planning. It's good for everyone to have something big and special to look forward to!

The logo is just a palm tree taken straight from ms clipart gallery, with the lettering in front. The script font is passions conflict and the other font is Maiandra. There's really not much too it.
  14. Happy birthday Janet! I hope it's wonderful!
  15. Oh WOW Alyssa! Those shoes are HOT! Congratulations on finding a perfect pair! (who makes them??) Amy, you are so great!
  16. Congratulations Amy!!!!! I hope your day is perfect! Can't wait to hear all about it!
  17. Yay! Happy, happy birthday Erica!!!! I hope it's absolutely wonderful!
  18. Okay, not quite done. But I've got 19 of the 22 I need done, so I'm really close. And I really like the way they turned out! I used June Tailor Print n' Press transfer paper - 3 sheets for $4.99 at Michaels. Got my bags from InGreetings. Love them. The weight of the canvas is outstanding. Comes in several colors. We went with black/natural because FI thought that the singles guys might be more likely to use them again. The logos were tricky. Actually, the flip horizontal was tricky. When I flipped them as jpg, gif or any other image file they got really grainy and not so pretty. So I re did them in massive sizes - like 300x the regular size. Flipped each piece (there's the tree, the script, a white shadow behind the script, and the date info with it's white shadow) individually, then compressed the whole thing back down. The grainy-ness went away when I compressed it. In the end, I still couldn't convert it to a jpg without it getting grainy, so I just printed it as a powerpoint. The canvas is really thick and bumpy, so the tree ended up looking a little distressed. I actually really like the result. But I think if you want to have a totally clear, perfect image, you'll need to find heavier weight transfer paper. I printed them on normal rather than best. It saves ink and I couldn't tell the difference. I had the iron on each one for 2-1/2 minutes (yes, I used a timer, I'm a little retentive that way). I ironed them on a wooden cutting board. I put a logo on another bag while I waited for the paper to cool, and then peeled off the backing of the first one, so the backing was on about 3-4 minutes after I finished ironing. Here they are: detail of the logo:
  19. Go see doctor. I'm hoping for a case of the flu. Or exaustion. And um... Tami... ewwwww.
  20. Wow Glenda! I don't know how I missed this thread, but I'm so glad I saw it before SATURDAY!!!! How exciting! I can't believe it's here so soon! And I can't wait to see pics of you in your beautiful gown!!! Woohoo!
  21. I loved the book. I thought the author's use of flashbacks was wonderful - the memories were so vivid - and because it wasn't a storytelling, I didn't get the "memoir" feeling. And, of course, the ending was GREAT! Loved it. LOVED IT!
