  1. Yay Morgan! Your photos are so great!
  2. For a honeymoon, so somewhere low key and romantic. I love London, Paris, Rome, Florence, Venice... all of the cities. But for a honeymoon go with a beach. Go to Bora Bora. Or Thailand. Do the others on another trip. Honeymoons should be calm, waking late, nothing to do but hang out together... when you go to a busy city, you have an agenda, stuff to see...
  3. That is classic! And so true. Why is it that dogs love everything you throw their way. Played with a little kid who stuck his fingers in my eyes and nose. My favorite thing! God bless doggies!
  4. I love #1. You look amazing in it and the detail is great!
  5. I'm with everyone else. Give it some time. You'll adjust and learn how to have normal lives. FI and I are both on a 5:45 AM train into NYC, and one of us is invariably leaving the office later than the other. We do commute together in the mornings, though, so we have that time. Of course, one of us usually nods off. But make the best of it. Learn not to ask him to get things done in the evenings until he's used to his new schedule. Instead, take that time to be together. Watch some TV, play checkers, whatever. Save the to do list until the weekends. I know you're home now and wanting to get things done, but for now just suck it up. Plenty of time on the weekends to get that stuff done. Just keep lists of what you need and march thru them until they are done.
  6. OMG that is SOOOO cute! And really, really impressive!
  7. Wow Katrina! Everyting turned out so nicely! I love your BM dresses!
  8. Morgan: I hope you don't mind, but while you were away, I got Nibblet a kitten. His name is Mr. Puffers. Nibblet's been taking very good care of Mr. Puffers. Hee... This is Morgan's ferret Nibblet, and Nibblet's kitten Mr. Puffers...

I guess my thinking with the flowers (and I'm aware the tables may be crowded), is that if any of the guests eat at the restaurant either before or after the wedding day, I don't want them to feel like its exactly the same, you know?
  10. Ladies: Need some help. We've rented out one of the restaurants at our hotel for our dinner because FI's parents don't do well in heat and really dislike eating outside. So, the restaurant itself is lovely, but I want to spruce up the table decor a bit, but I don't want to spend $$$$$ because we'll only be in the restaurant for a couple of hours tops. The restaurant, in it's basic form, looks like this, we are taking two of those large square tables and putting them together to make tables of 6. Each of the table has a cute little tea light lamp on it, sort of like this: I want to put pink anthuriums on the tables as well. So the question is, do I put a tealight lamp on each end of the table with a cluster of 3-5 anthuriums in the center, or do I put a tealight lamp in the middle with two single anthuriums on each end? Anthurium arrangements will need to be low so as not to interfere with things. Both of these are red, and mine will be pink, but you get the idea: Larger: Smaller:

You'll have to do that one yourself, because the image is a jpg or gif, so you couldn't change it at all. But it's super easy. There are several threads around on how to do it. Ours is a palm tree straight off of microsoft clip art gallery (just search for palm tree - it shows up as black and you can just color it any color you want). Our font was passions conflict, but there are so many pretty ones to choose from!
  12. Is it funny that I'm a little bummed out? I so like thinking about all the BDW babies. But I'm so happy for you Andrea!
  13. Your dress is beautiful and you look totally amazing! So exciting!!!
  14. Orchids really aren't that bad. But people are afraid of them for some reason. I love them. To water them, first make sure they are in a pot that drains. If not, repot them. Then put them in a bowl, bucket, pot or just plug the sink. Run warmish water over them (they don't like cold water) and soak them. I run the water until the water level (as it drains out the bottom) is about 1 inch from the top of the pot. And then leave it for about 30 minutes. Take it out, let it drain and it's set for a week to 10 days. You can tell if it needs water because the pot will seem light when you pick it up. But never more than 10 days. Also, when it's blooming it will need less water than when it's not. (They bloom during dry season.) Also, they can use food once or twice a year, if you want. But you don't really need to. Soem people say it helps them bloom. Just get orchid food drops and you're set.
  15. Happy birthday ladies!!! Sorry we're a little slow on the uptake, but I hope it was fabulous!!!
  16. Quick question: Does anyone have a copy of the hotel map and activities schedule (the one they give you when you check in?) That they could scan and e-mail me or somehow get to me? I'm trying to finish up my welcome books and those are the last missing pieces. I cannot for the LIFE OF ME find what I did with mine after we moved. So frustrating!! And, yes, I've e-mailed Perla, too.
  17. Hi Jackie! I don't know if you looked thru the whole thread or not, and it has lots of info on why I chose the Paradisus. I will acknowledge that it may not be as inexpensive as some of the other resorts, but the hotel and the WCs are amazing and have truly gone above and beyond to make sure my wedding is everything I want it to be. They've given me options to keep my costs down, and they have worked miracles to get me the things that are not on the standard request list. I just can't say enough.
  18. Great dress! I'm sure it will fit you fine. I wish I'd ordered mine in the smaller size, because the alterations are taking forever!
