  1. Yay! Happy Wedding Day Katrina! I hope your day is absolutely perfect!
  2. Yay!!! Congratulations Abbie!! I hope your day is super wonderful fabulous and then some!!! Woohoo!
  3. Phew! Can you believe all this stuff? It's a miracle I still have a job!
  4. My borrowed starfish, from Morgan, replete with Nibblet: The ceremony site – we will have a similar set up, except that the chairs will have bright pink organza ties on them, and the gazebo-thing will have pink and white lilies running up and around the front and top: The bar, cocktail hour, and party venue – we’ll have it set up lounge style with a bunch of couches and a few cocktail tables: Centerpieces on the cocktail tables, except with bright pink rose petals instead of orchids: The restaurant where we’re having dinner – we aren’t changing much except that the tables will all be for 6 people, except for the kids table which will be for 8. (There are only 7 of them, so I’ve laid claim to the last chair for when I get bored with grown-ups): Okay… I think that’s it! I’m sure I forgot something… I'm going to add a blank post, just in case, so I can go back and add whatever I've forgotten.
  5. The Welcome Books, ala Mandy – these are bound down the left side with a black coil, and have a clear plastic cover (front and back), the four pages per photo are cut, so 32 pages in all, I left out a bunch of the puzzle pages: The announcements, with thanks to Maura who helped me get some clarity on my ideas and even offered to design for me. Our thank you cards (also from Target): One more, and I swear I’m done…
  6. Fans: With thanks to Danielle who provided me with the 10 starfish I needed to get them done! Hang tag on the fans – many thanks to Tami on this one. I saw hers and got all teary-eye, so I borrowed her wonderful idea: OOT bag stuff: The bags: The hats: Front: Back: The mugs: The card key/tip $ holders: Hang on… not done yet!
  7. Welcome dinner dress, from Dessy, And the shoes – from Aerosoles on sale for $40! FI’s welcome dinner suit (although he may not wear the jacket) and shirt: Welcome dinner menu card Wedding dinner menu cards – each one is personalized for each guest with their names, table number, and menu selection. The bottom of the card is perforated and tears off to be handed to the waiter so he brings the right stuff (and yes, actually, FI is having the crispy shrimp and the rack of lamb): Our cake inspiration – ours will have pink roses instead of the red callas – and will be Tres Leches: Our Guest Non-Book – it’s a plate that has a special pen – everyone signs, then you take it home, bake it and the marker becomes permanent. I does say not to use it for food – I assume acids and such will damage the marker. Came from Target! Our Guest Book (from Hallmark) – so appropriate! These are the inside pages. I borrowed the idea from someone else, and tweaked it to fit the album from Hallmark. I can’t remember who it was, but thank you SO much!
  8. My jewelry – bracelet was from Macys, earrings were from some little shop in Jersey: (this is from Jamie – my summer surprise elf. I love it!!!) FI’s suit, shirt, tie and shoes (he actually ASKED to have a tie! And picked it out himself) FI’s boutonierre: Sit still! I’m still going, here…
  9. My dress: This is from the first fitting, so it looks a little weird. It’s a WToo dress (Watters and Watters) the style name is Adriana. My ceremony shoes (if the sand is too hot to go barefoot) from Old Navy: My reception shoes, from Dyeables, style name lovely: (dyed to match my dress, of course) My bouquet: My hair trial: My hair flowers: (not at my hair trial, obviously) My mothers’ hair pins (don’t ask me how I’m going to put all this stuff in my hair PLUS a veil!) I’ve clearly overplanned this stuff. There’s more…
  10. We bought shirts for the men and the nephews, and dresses for the nieces. Here are the cards that went with them: To the nieces: Their dresses: For the nephews: Their shirts: For the men: Chris wrote the inside – I thought it was too funny not to post: I can’t find a photo of their shirts! It’s a blue tropical print in silk and linen from Macys. Gifts for the unofficial bridesmaids – jewelry bags (made by my fabulous mom!) and starfish necklaces (from Kohls): Still not done…
  11. Our boarding pass invites: The ticket jacket: I’ve attached templates for the boarding passes and the ticket jacket, but here are the threads, too: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22523 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t14528 My “be my unofficial bridesmaid?†cards: It went with a four-page letter to my 5 best girlfriends telling them why I loved them all. You know… all the mushy stuff. Our pre-travel packets included one luggage tag per person, one brochure and one Spanish for dummies book: Detail of the brochure (template is attached): Luggage tag (info and templates are here): http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t23345 Hang on… more to come
  12. Wow. I can’t believe it’s all come up so soon! Less than a month to go! Many of you have asked, and I’ve really been excited about doing a planning thread, so here goes! I think all my templates are either attached to the first post, or are included in the linked threads. If you’re in a hurry, don’t start in. I put this together in word before I posted it. It’s 8 pages in word…Brace yourselves… It all started with the proposal. Well, no. Actually it all started with a subway ride, but we can cut ahead to the good stuff. Here’s the story: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13211 And the ring: My to do list, which I kept adding stuff to and couldn’t have survived without. I put a thread together a few months back, so if you want a monster to do list, you can pull it from here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t20049 Our STDs: Here’s the thread with all the templates: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16771 Hang on, there’s more…
  13. My arms used to get sore, and a little black and blue - but I wouldn't call it bruised. For me, I actually prefer it to whole blood donation. Yes, it takes longer, but I always felt so much better after. And have them bring you juice or regular (non-diet) soda. The sugar really helps somehow.
  14. I like those a lot! I actually like the outside border in white. They look clean. And with the aqua ribbon, I don't know that you'll want anything other than something that matches, anyway.
  15. Many, many congratulations!! I hope your day is more than you had ever hoped for!
  16. Oops. They are jpgs and can't be loaded as attachments. I've put them in the attached zip file. thankyou2.zip
  17. Like everyone has said, talk with her! There are some people that are afraid to leave the country, or some that have heard bad things about places. I'm sure it's not a them-over-you situation. Just give her a call.

Abbie!!! You crack me up! They've already sent me the re-do order confirmation. I've got to work with them to get the ship date moved up. Right now I'm supposed to receive them on the 31st. Yikers! We'll see what they come up with, but I'm feeling SO much better!
  19. thanks ladies! I appreciate it very much! I think the only reason you can actually see the writing in the photo is that the flash was on. just sitting on the desk it looks like an orange palm tree on a blue background. I'm sure they'll fix them. I'm just grumpy is all. And you're right! If they let me keep the other mugs... Bonus to someone here!

I printed mine on an HP color LaserJet 5550.
  21. Its so true. This forum has been a lifesaver for so many brides (and grooms!). Early on in my BDW existence I made mention of the fact that I viewed it a little bit like group therapy. I still think of it that way quite often, but now it's group therapy with all my girlfriends. It's just amazing. I seriously don't know how I would have gotten this far without each and every one of you! Ahh... lovefest!
  22. Do you have a website? Have it as a question in the RSVP section, just like you do for meal selections or whatever.
