  2. Ummm... can we include pirate jokes? You know what the pirates wife's name was, dontcha? Peggy... (oh that was so bad)
  3. How in the world did I miss this thread the first time around? Maybe it's for the best, because neither I or DH have any grandparents left, and that makes me very sad. But I have an awesome Daddy! And he's on a project in Savannah for the next 6 weeks. Anyone in Savannah want to take my daddy to dinner? I'm buying! In the meantime, I'm going to have to dig that last box of thin mint girl scout cookies out of the freezer and send them to him. they are his favorite!
  4. I'm going to play devils advocate here... Technically speaking, there is no evidence that a "base tan" will prevent you from burning, or otherwise protect your skin. I am the sunscreen queen, and openly encourage everyone to get a very light weight, long sleeve tunic and a cute wide-brimmed hat that you can wear to prevent lines. A base tan will help hide the lines, but it does not protect your skin. Okay... I'm getting off the soapbox now.

  6. Take sunscreen! And remember to enjoy it! Can't wait to see your pics!!!
  7. Can't do the third, but I'd be up for the 30th.

My fiance and I are going to be with our guests for 1 week before the wedding day - Then we're leaving the resort, early Sunday afternoon for our honeymoon. We want to have a goodbye brunch with our guests, but after all the money spent on the welcome party and wedding itself, we cannot afford to rent/reserve a restaurant and serve another meal for all our guests. Can you give me an idea of what restaurants offer a casual setting and good food so we can suggest our guests gather there for one last meal together.? Thanks in Advance for any advice you can offer me!! Stephanie from WI When I was there in August there was only one restaurant serving breakfast - the buffet. And they will gladly reserve a section of the restaurant for you. However, when we were there in May, the Capri restaurant also served breakfast on the weekends. Depending on the size of your party, they may not reserve it for you. Also, at the Capri, if you are more than 6-8 they will put you at different tables, adjacent, but separate.
  9. Shoot. There's a font that has stuff like that on it, but I can't remember which one. Bear with me I'll keep checking... Try Floralia - nothing exactly the same, but certainly of the same style
  10. Wow! What a pain! And I'm sorry your birthday was dark. Was it a little romantic at least. Good news is that the new house survived intact. We missed you!!!!

Here it is (again?)
  12. Oh Marie. You poor dear. Freddie cheated on you with all those other... people... and you forgave him. And then he went and died on you. Buy the album. You'll always have Freddie. He would have wanted it that way.
  13. Gravol is like dramamine - same drug - Dimenhydramate. I think there's a kids formula in the US. It's actually an antihistamine, hence the drowsiness. Your sis should check with her pediatrician as they don't usually give dosage recommendations for kids under 2.
  14. I used two tools. (1) A rotary trimmer (paper cutter) with a regular blade, a perforating blade and a scoring (fold-making) blade. Fiskars makes the one I used - the 12" Ultimate Craft Rotary Paper Trimmer - I bought one or both of the non-regular blades separately. It was about $35 and maybe $7 for each of the blades. Looked like this: (2) a corner punch. I also recomment the squeeze one from Fiskars - so easy and no sore thumb because it's a squeeze rather than a push button like so many are. looks like this (only in a corner rather than the hand): I got them both at Michael's and with a 50% off coupon... bonus!
  15. We were married by a minister - Jorge Pinto. Our hotel arranged it, but he was fantastic!
