  1. We used Mannia at our wedding and he was fantastic to work with. I can't say enough. He and my photographer (Nathaniel Thompson) were the best parts of our wedding!
  2. OMG I love this thread! I'm so glad it's back! You know you're addicted when work has you so crazy busy that you just don't have time to log on and you feel soooooo guilty for ignoring all your girls!
  3. I can't answer all your questions, but I can answer a bit 1. Yes. Your guests will need passports for Mexico. Go to the state department web site for details, but they need them. 2. Depending on an the all inclusive, they can be cheaper. But if you go really high end, they can be more expensive. Also, if you go (for evenings, meals, whatever) out off-property, that adds to the price. But, one of the nice things about an all-inclusive is that (assuming you eat all your meals and do the majority of your drinking on property), there is no guess work to the budget - it costs what it costs. Good luck!
  4. Jamie! Don't worry, everything will be just fine! And what you're going through is totally normal! Just get yourself a nice case of wine and expect that you're going to have these days. And you'll also have some of those "I've got everything under control days". Weddings are heavy on the emotions, and you'll have lots of highs and lows, but you'll get through them all. If you need anything, just ask!
  5. DH and I honeymooned on Moorea at the Sheraton - it was really nice, but be prepared for a lot of quiet time - we were there in November and it was pretty empty. And no real nightlife to speak of. But, the water was fantastic! Get your scuba certification - I've never seen anything like the water there. We also took a cruise that hit several islands. It was wonderful. And I agree with Melinda - don't bother spending much time on Tahiti.
  6. Normally, I'm not a fan of the French bustle. But it looks really nice with your dress. What was the other way? I think a three-point would hide the fabric too much, but a one point might work. I agree with Abby, though - if you want it a different way make her do it. It's your dress!!!
  7. Of course, I *heart* you all, but this month I'm big on the Morgan fan club.
  8. That is such a sweet thing to do! I love that he re-proposed instead of just giving it to you!
  9. Tammy!!!! Those are soooooo cute!!! I love Roja!

  11. Yay Missy! I love your photos!!! The one in the little hut with his pants rolled up is great!
  12. ABBIE TELL THE TRUTH! You stuffed the ballot box, didn't you? Congratulations ladies, you are both very deserving!
  13. Sorry I'm late! I hope you had a fantastic birthday!!!
  14. I really like #1. Classy... elegant... To me, #2 (the engagement band) is one of those styles that I'd be concerned one day goes out of vogue and then you'll be back thinking that a solitaire would be so nice...
  15. Yamille: I'm going to differ from Kelly. Ours were a godsend. Of course, I got married in August and Kelly got married in December. We had a breeze, but it wasn't constant and when it died down it was HOT. Are they critical? No, probably not, but I was happy to have them.
  16. Yay!!!! Congratulations - this will make Jamaica even better!!!!
  17. Your photos are so GREAT!!! I love the sparklers! yay! I'm so glad you loved Nathaniel! He did such an amazing job for us, too. Like you, I can't say enough - Nathaniel is AMAZING!
  18. Gonna vent. Hafta vent. 'Cause I'm so ticked off I could scream! So, I have a 5 month old puppy. I want to take her to the groomer, because while I bathe her and brush her and trim her hair and clip her nails, I don't do a full blown cut, and I am not going to pull the hair out of her ears (which the vet says we need to do). So I call the doggie salon down the street to figure out about an appoinment, and the little F'ER on the phone lights into me saying that (get this) "a responsible dog owner would have been bringing her in since she was 12 weeks old" and now if I bring her, she'll have a panic attack and they can't be sure they'll be able to do anything with her, blah, blah. Um... listen dickweed... I didn't get her until she was 15 weeks old. She's used to hair dryers, other dogs, getting her nails cut, etc. So don't f'ing tell me that I'm not a responsible dog owner just because I haven't brought her into YOUR shop!!! From what I can tell, the real problem is that your shop must be so horrifically chaotic that NO dog could survive it. What a f*****r!!!!! I want to kick him where it hurts! My sweet loveydog ain't going nowhere near that hellhole! Oh... I feel so much better.
  19. Oh! That is sooooo bad! Can't wait to tell DH!!!
  20. Yay Amy!!!!! Congratulations on becoming a Mrs. I hope it was a truly fantastic day!
