  4. Hello girls!! I had a thought!! I have been to the Santa Fe, April 2008. For our reception I am leaning towards the steakhouse....but was thinking, if we were to have our reception dinner at one of the a la carts, would we have the entire place to ourselves? We are looking at having approx. 30 guests. It would be private??

A bride on this forum, she got married at the RIU Palace, used Neysa....looks like she does a great job too! I am very unsure about the Renova Spa once reading the comment on this thread...regarding the pre-trial. What day are you getting married?
  10. Hello! I am wondering the same thing...I wouldn't mind using the spa at the resort. I have only heard rave reviews about Suzanne Morel. Isn't there anyone on here that has had their hair/makeup done at Renova Spa??
  11. Hello! Eika told me that they can get other colours but it would cost extra. Can you believe they only have 3 colours?? what are they....purple, gold, or silver? Purple?? why purple? makes me laugh!!! We are having a black & white theme so I think we will go with the silver...I think that will work!!

My FI and I were in Cabo at the beginning of April and it was mid to late 80's during the day and cooler at night. Around 5pm or so it starts to cool off....say to the mid 60's-70. We had to wear pants each night...I brought little dresses and was only able to wear one on one of the nights. I found it to be quite cool. It is kindof nice though, since you can get away from the heat at night. Some places, such as Dominican - its humid all day and night long!!! Cabo is perfect weather Hope this helps!
  13. Hello! We are having a reception when we get home, so we are sending out invitations that include both the Cabo Wedding & our Reception when we return. Saying that...we are inviting around 130 - so far we have 19 booked but we haven't sent out the invitations yet....probably tomorrow We are expecting around 30 guests to join us in Cabo, mostly everyone will be at our reception.
  14. Hi Ladies!! I see there is a post for Dreams, so I am wondering if anyone has had hair & make-up done by Renova Spa at the RIU Santa Fe or even the Palace? I did a little research and there doesn't seem to be too much of a different in price between Suzanne Morel & Renova Spa....maybe $20, so it would be worth the extra $20 by the sounds of things. Does anyone know if Suzanne is able to go to the Santa Fe the day of the wedding now? I know the RIU's don't want outside vendors, but I believe this was something that was being looked into. So many decisions!!!!
  15. Hello!! Your pictures are fabulous!!! Just out of curiousity....you mentioned the food at your reception being the best meal. Do you think the food was different for your wedding than the food they serve throughout the week? I am getting married next door at the Santa Fe...just curious what to expect.
  16. Hello!!! I am a Cabo Bride as well We are getting married May 9, 2009 @ the RIU Santa Fe. I am sssoooo excited!!!....just over 4 months to go
  17. Hi Kelly! Congratulations!!!! Unfortunately, I am unable to view the pics....ahhh! I will have to take a peek at work. I am getting married at the Santa Fe on May 9, 2009 and just wondering if you have any suggestions for me?? Should I bring more decorations for the dinner? Can we have speeches and dancing on the terrace? Thank-you for mentioning a second group dinner is included so I can plan for that!!!! Any suggestions and/or comments will be greatly appreciated!! Thank-you for your review!!!!

  19. Hello! I have been to the Santa Fe and we are hoping to get married at the Gazebo, but I guess you can't have more than 25 guests...otherwise the beach is the other option. Unfortunately, you cannot get married at the Palace - I really like the Gazebo locations at the Palace Its too bad we can't go over there for an hour..haha. Good luck with everything!!! When is your wedding?

Do u think its alright to have black on the beach?! Or should i have the ladies in turquoise dresses, and the guys in tan pants and turqoiuse shirts?? why cant i deicide?? I think I prefer the black but want to make sure black looks good on the beach! Thanks Hello!! Good question. I know it is hard to decide...cuz I keep thinking differently. I just want to let you know that we are having a black & white wedding...with an accent colour. My girls are wearing black dresses & the guys are going to be in black suits. I think the look is very classy!!! I was wondering about the tan myself but I think I will stick with my original idea. It will look nice in pictures, as well as being different from everyone else!! I hope this helps!!

After dinner we are going to the lobby bar putting the old people to bed and heading out for the evening. There is alot of good information on here...thanks girls!!! Really? Erika said there wasn't any room for dancing? I was hoping to have a couple speeches & dancing after dinner without changing locations. Can we pay extra to have the room for this? I know someone that got married at the Palace and they had dancing after dinner at the same location....I don't believe they paid any extra. By the way, since you went with the "Classic" package....do you have to pay extra for the setup of more chairs, etc? I thought we would have to go with the Royal package. You must be very excited...you are getting pretty close!!!!
  22. Sassybride - We have booked a really nice banquet room at a very modern hotel back home. The reception location would be no different if we were having our reception in Ontario. We have decided to have a cocktail reception since we like the idea of that atmosphere. We will have servers walking around with hot appetizers, as well as have stations with crackers, cheese, etc. Its going to be really nice!! What are your plans? When are you having your wedding and what resort?
  23. Hello!! We are having a reception when we get back from our DW. We plan to play our wedding video or a slideshow for the guests that couldn't make it. We are having a cocktail reception with horsd'oeuvres, dancing, etc. I hope this helps!! Good luck with everything!!
  24. Hello everyone!! We have finally booked our wedding at the RIU Santa Fe in Los Cabos. We are so excited!!!! I have been on this site off and on for the past few months and have received some great information. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas - please feel free to send them. We are having a wedding reception when we get back. We are thinking that we are going to send out an invitation for our DW and then send another invitation for the reception 2 months prior to the date. Any other suggestions? I look forward to planning all the details that follow.
