    Here's a kicker. A few members of my family are complaining about having to 'pay' to go to a destination wedding. But NONE of them live in my state. So regardless of where I have it, they will still need to pay for travel to get here. They're so so naive.

    I think your TA is referring to this price if you decide to book a block of rooms. My TA gave me the rate and the deposit amount per person was $150. I sent the satve the dates and put all the info on our website. That way each guest made their own deposits (by our deadline). I think fronting $4000 for your guests who you don't even know are coming is asking way too much. Maybe you should tell your TA you just want prices per room and let her know your guests will be contacting her individually.

    My wedding colors are chocolate brown & apple green. My flowers will be hot pink. I purchased some bright orange stargazers to pop with the light colored roses for the centerpieces. If you click on my bio, you will see some bright bouquets.

    Planning a wedding is no easy task. I too thought a DW would be simple to plan, but it's not. There's no rush to have a wedding. Take your time and do not stress. Remember, time goes by so quickly. You can plan your wedding for next June- it seems far away, but believe me, it's not !

    To eliminate 'uninvited' guests to our DW, I added this line to the bottom of my Save the dates. _____ seats have been reserved in your honor. I filled in the # based upon how many people we invited from that particular guest and we did not have a problem. I also password protected the travel info page on our website and sent an email to our guests asking them not to give out the information.

    I booked my photographer for 6 hours. 1 hour - preparation / dressing 30 min - ceremony 1.5 hour - beach, garden & family 3 hours - reception

    This is really messed up. I'd tell Kelly that her boyfriend needs to pay for a single room and she needs to stick to the original plan. If she wants to stay with him at the resort, she can. But, it's not fair to Angie that the plans are being changed and now she has to find more $.

    Vista print ROCKS ! I got my STD cards and address labels from them too. I also got free T-shirts to wear the morning of the wedding while we have our pre-wedding spa date.
