Have a ball!! Congratulations...we'll let you slide on the pics for now...but dont forget about us when you get back! lol
-
BTW-- I love that Johnny Gill Song!!! that's a great song to walk to.
-
I have officially changed my song as well...my bridal party will walk to Eric Benet & Tamia-Spend my life with you (that's as of this second...lol)
I'll be walking down to Mary J. Blige- Give Me You.
I'd say that the bridal party song should maybe be slightly upbeat from yours...your song should definitely be a little more dramatic...but this is coming from the drama princess herself...lol... gotta have a song that says "Hey look at me...look at me!! " lol

you can always have one song play for the bridal party..once they finish walking Chandlyn will start turning the volume down low to have it die out...then she will start the song for you and dad...just a thought!

Thanks Bobbi! I wanted to walk down to Brian McKnight's "Still in love", but my cousin, who previously got married walked down to that song, and she will be at the wedding, so I think that I will walk down to Jill Scott "He loves Me", but I don't want the sound system to sound weak.
oh since I am not having a wedding party, his parents are walking down the ailse first, then both of my parents are walking me down, (I am the only child), do you use the same processional song for everybody?
It depends...since there's no wedding party i figure you might as well otherwise the song will only play for a few seconds...but if you want a song all to yourself than I say go for it!!

here's a link to a thread i started a while ago...it has the music i'll be using although that could change between now and then...you know how that "almost time" indecisiveness kicks in. lol

Chandlyn will do a really short and sweet rehearsal the day before the wedding so that you and you bridal party will know where to stand, walk, etc...

My wedding is June 28, 2008 we sent out our invitations 6 months prior to the wedding(1st week of Jan.) to give people enought time to figure out if they could make it. The RSVP due date was Feb. 15 about 6 weeks after folks should have received the invites.
-
excuse me for asking...but what documents do we need to have sent? did i forget something?
i thought it was just a copy of our birth certificate and drivers license...dont we have to take that with us?
-
Hubby actually is really good friends with a DJ back home, so we are paying for him to stay from Friday-Monday and he will be DJ'ing the reception at the plantation.
-
I went with the pond gazebo...like you said, it's more formal which I like. i wanna wear shoes!!! lol.
But definitely check it out when you get there and see which one just "feels" right to you. You'll figure it out.

good suggestion Melissa!!
You should print out the quotes given by Expedia and Orbitz and take them to your TA...she should be able to beat it out of fear that you may book your trip elsewhere. if those are her final prices then
-
Yeah that's pretty expensive...is that charge per person or is that the room charge total? We are booked for 7 nights at $2700 airfare and hotel transfers included.

thanks for that info...i as well booked with Liberty Travel..im gonna give my girl patricia a call RIGHT NOW!!

Ok...here's how mine is going to go:
I will have a mixed CD that will play different love songs for the guests while they are being seated and waiting.
The minister will be followed out by the groom and bestman to: Brian McKnight- Crazy Love...the song will play while they stand up there until the bridal party is ready....The bridal party will then come out to Eric Benet & Tamia- Spend my life with you...that song will play until they roll out my aisle runner. Once they do that, my ring bearer and flower girl will proceed to the tune of Mary J Blige- Give Me You ...followed by yours truly!
I havent chosen our recessional song yet, but it will be something upbeat and happy like: Step in the name of Love or something like that.
