  1. The samples the resort gave me to choose from were not what I had in mind. I was advised that I had to wait until I got there (which means no firm price) and me being me was afraid that I wouldn't like my bouquet. So by going with natural touch flowers, I can see my flowers before hand and make sure I have exactly what I want and stay within my budget.
  2. Have a wonderful time, an amazing wedding and can't wait to see the pics!
  3. Believe me, it's hard even when you have just one person. I finally said here's the color, go choose something you like in a tea-length and let me know.
  4. Bump, because of some great points on the first page on why using a TA for a wedding is a good idea.
  5. Regardless of how much or little time you give people, they will complain. We gave people 2 years and they are still complaining. If a destination wedding is what you want, then do it. Make your day about you and your FI. If they want to be there they'll be there if they can.
  6. Congrats, thanks for sharing! Looks like you had an amazing day.

  13. Your day is going to be special regardless of how many people. Remember most important people are you and your FH. We had the same thing happen to us basically and we decided we are going to have a blast regardless.
  14. Jamaica would have been our first choice as well if we didn't have guests budgets to contend with. It is so easy to get married there compared to other places.
  15. I am an addict too and darn proud of it! I am even on here when I am sitting downstairs watching tv... I love this forum. It and the people are awesome.
  16. Why can't the "gift" be the favors you give out at the AHR, something very small like a 2x3 framed photo, photo in the announcement card, a little box with chocolates in side, etc. I'd keep it very small. I think it will be expensive if you start sending out gifts to folks because they aren't invited to the actual ceremony.
  17. Another April 2009 bride here. So far we have: Booked location/date Hotel/air booked Bought FI's wedding clothes (still need the shoes and cufflinks) Ordered my dress MOH dress picked out and ordered Flowers ordered (angelsaccents.com) Bought OOT bags and some contents Invites almost done and about to be mailed (not doing STD’s) Photographer booked Made wedsite on weddingannouncer.com Rings bought So much more to do...
  18. I read this yesterday and giggled. Glad you posted photo's, too funny. Looks like you two had a blast.
  19. I am so happy I am not alone in this weight loss battle. I have been nursing a foot injury for the past year and think I have finally gotten back to being ready to get back into exercising. My goal is to lose 30 lbs before April. Some of the things I plan on doing are: * I am going to try to get half my work out in before I go to work each morning by getting up early. * Increase the water intake and stop eating dinner so late. * Cut back on the coffee and sugar, no junk food to cope with the work stress. How about you ladies?
  20. I know here in Halifax (Nova Scotia), both stores have the signs up for a closing sale 10-30% off, but in the window there is a poster avertising for help. Thought that was odd. We went to the one closest to us because we love shopping there and the deals aren't that great thus far. Call me crazy, but it's almost as if prices are slightly increased (e.g. I am almost positive a linen tower I bought in the spring is $20 more than what I paid, the roomba is $30 more than it was a month ago when we were in looking at them).
  21. Welcome & Happy Planning!
