I have friends that did that. Called their little savings bank, the "love duck". Thought it was the cutest idea, a little bit of incentive to keep sparks flying.

I completely agree. I tried explaining that to her and was told it's not worth the stress of getting to Boston or NY or the time it takes to get there. She's willing to spend the extra, so I am not going to push it. I put it out there and she didn't want to do that. She's almost as hard-headed as I can be sometimes, so I know I can't change her mind. Thanks though.

I will be keeping her in my thoughts Well, just so happens I had an info session and consult with a breast surgeon this morning. Sassybride basically just reiterated exactly what I was told this morning in the group info session that this surgeon does with all her patients. She also mentioned that blood discharge can be related to skin coniditions like cracked nipple. It's best she goes to see the doctor. Catching things early and paying attention to changes in your breasts is key.

Brockville, is an awesome place from what I have heard. One of my best girlfriends is originally from there and is constantly raving on what a great place it was to grow up. Congrats on the new house and fingers crossed that a new job will come up soon!

My MOH has been quoted $1400 pp taxes in from Hartford for 7 days at the Melia in Punta Cana. Her and her husband think that because of the rising fuel prices they want to lock in and go with this price. I sure hope that it is a decent price. Christine thanks so much for your advice.

Glad I read this thread. TA Maureen I think you just answered a question I was about to post about prices from the US. My MOH has to put $1500 up front for her and her husband to attend my wedding in DR on their vacation package. I thought this was odd since here in Canada we do just the $200-$400 deposit per person. Makes sense now that in the US you can purchase the airline ticket up front to lock in the airline price at that time.

That's foolish, isn't it good business practice to build a rapport with your clients. I know it may be a lot of new clients, but how else does she plan to make that connection with people that could potentially mean future bookings. My TA specifically wanted people to call her to ensure she went through everything with them about the travel arrangements and trip insurance. Told me that I went above and beyond by providing her with spreadsheet with names, addresses, contact numbers and relationship to us info of who she should expect calls from. Reminded me I had wedding planning to focus on and not worry about people's travel questions. I think that TA will probably realize what a bad decision it was to tell you to take the booking info and not have people call her. I hope you find a great TA that will help you get things sorted.

So rude, sometimes I seriously wonder what goes through people heads. If worse comes to worse and she does not come and you can't find another flower girl to replace her, could you sell the dress and accessories to at least recoup some of what you spent on it? It would be a shame for some little girl not to get to wear a cute little flower girl dress.

I have friends that just eloped in Jamaica. It was just the two of them. It was gorgeous. Big hugs, it's all going to work out. And remember, in the end do what you two want for a wedding.
