  1. By the way, who was your photographer? They are awesome!
  2. I am bad with computers, but I have a Macbook and I love it! Macs are more expensive, but are extremely user friendly. You should call Mac and see what they offer, and if they can offer what you need. They are a bit pricey, but worht every penny, I would never go back to a regular PC.
  3. Haha, the important things I didn't even think about! Imagine running down the aisle jumping around?!

We'll only have 25 people so for us, we'll pay the minimum amount no matter what we choose. For the BBQ theme it works out to $2300 (50 * $46) but with the Mixed grill, it's only $700 (35 * $20). So for us - with 25 guests, the BBQ theme dinner works out to $92 pp while the mixed grill is only $28 pp. Here's the prices for all the dinners. The prices for wedding packages go up November 1st, I'm not sure if the dinner prices went up to. The prices I have are the ones up to Oct 2008. Theme Dinners *Minimum of 50 people *includes 'all-inclusive' drinks Gala Dinner: $72 BBQ: $46 Mexican: $46 Caribbean: $48 Private Meals *Minimum of 35 people *includes beer and soda only *All of these meals will be served with disposable cutlery and dishes Paella: $20 -Seafood Paella, Sangría Mixed Grill: $20 -Arrachera steak, pork cutlet, chicken, sausage Taquiza: $15 -5 varieties of Tacos with rice, beans and guacamole American: $12 -Hamburgers, Hot Dog, French Fries I believe those are the same prices Jazmin gave us and we are getting married June 2009. For the dancing reseption with DJ directly after the mixed grill dinner, we are going to have the special cocktails which I believe are $5 per person the first hour and $3 per person each additional hour which whill be $28 in total for food and drink perperson for the reception. Yeah, the theme dinners are a lot, esp. if you are not sure if your number of guests will be near 50.
  5. So nice! Usually our photos consist of us having a picnic in Central Park sweating in the sun, or after a crazy night out in NYC... They really look amazing, so unique too! I love the one in the Taxi, and the one in front of the graffiti... They are really so great... makes me want to go and take pictures right now!!! And for enyone traveling to NYC soon ( we live about 25min. away so gotta love it!) head over to Pellegrino in Little Italy for the BEST Italian food, and esp. tiramisu! ---My fiance forced me to put this up!!! He is obsessed! And skinny, not fair.
  6. We were together 10 months when Hank proposed. We knew it was right from the getgo, pretty much from our first date. Ten months felt like a forever. People say when you know you know. And I think a lot of people who also meet on e-harmony feel the same way. We celebrate our one year in a little over a week! Thank you Dr. Neil Clark Warren and e-harmony for letting me meet my soulmate!!! PS. The funny part is, before Hank and I met and this happened, if anyone said they were getting engaged that quickly I would have said your nuts! But now I truely know, each couple has their own unique story!
  7. Awww i just started tearing up reading that!!! So sweeeet!
  8. Turkey Burgers!!! Fish! (salmon, talapia, tuna) and tofu is awesome too! It takes the flavor of whatever you are cooking... also steak or beef stirfry is easy and yummy! Sometimes I eat so much chicken I feel like I am going to cluck!
  9. Andrea! Have no fear! As a full time babysitter/singer/student, I belong to a website called sittercity.com and it is great to find babysitters/senior sitters/petsitters/housekeepers. You can post an ad, and I believe many of the people have background check performed and whatnot. I have gotten many jobs through this reputable site, and people are always looking for somesome on both ends. Please check it out!!! Wish I was in Colorado, I would totally help you!
  10. Hey Carrie. Yes, we miss Martha! I hope everything is okay with her family. I am doing a four night babysitting gig right now for a family (mom and dad went to Newport Rhode Island, I figured they needed some alone time!) but when I stop home I will post the amount for the mixed grill... it may already be posted somewhere on the thread. It seems more affordable than the theme dinner, and the minimum of people is 35 rather than 50 for the theme dinners. I opted for the private dinner because it seemed more intimate, and I did not want the guests to use their a la carte night for our reception.
  11. OMG, yeah, I have had people say they wanted to come, but I proceed to tell them it is going to be a small wedding... which I guess is a white lie... but... so weird that people take the initiative to invite themselves, right? Just like I knew a few girls who wore white to weddings... DUH... it's a nono!
  12. Number one is so flattering on you... I saw number two, or one like it at David's bridal and I thought right off the bat it was gorgeous, but the first one flatters your figure so well and looks more bridey... if that is a word lol

  16. Would you have time to buy something small when you get down there? I was thinking of doing that, and then bringing ribbon and personalized tags to put on... hmmm... because I think you, and I, will have so many other things we will have to drag down in our suitcases!
  17. Hey everyone... I finally got a hold of Jazmin today because my e-mails never went through! (They always send you an error message, and even when they don't, they weren't going through) she was very helpful and is going to get back to me with pictures of the mixed grill because she is doing one tonight (let's hope this happens!!)
  18. Hey Monique! Congrats! And your ring is amazing! So different!!!
  19. Yeah, my MOH is doing the shower... but you need to speak up, do it politely, but it is your day. Not fair to have everything taken over. And I also agree, why would you invite people who weren't invited to the wedding?! It seem so odd! Be calm and cool, but state what it is that you want.
  20. I love this show! When I get to catch it! Any guy I know who sees the show ( and a bunch do!!!) think that Kate is mean to Jon, but sometimes, things just work that way, maybe their personalities click... and they sure do run a tight ship! I am a nanny and one of the best rules they have is they only serve the kids one thing for dinner. Kate says, "this is not a restaurant. If they are hungry, they will eat." And the kids do eat... I give Jon and Kate a ton of credit!
  21. Welcome and good luck planning!
