I can call some of my pilots if you are interested. I'm guessing with fuel costs, you're still going to be looking at a bare minimum of $5K. Jet Fuel is currently running almost $6 here, so I imagine it will be higher in larger cities & Cali. I'll be more than happy to make phone calls or donate what I can!

American RV Rentals Motorhome rentals one way trips I did find this company that will do a one way rental for an RV. I really think that might be your best option. You could make the trip in a car. I nannied one summer and took care of a 3 week old and a 3 year on a 22 hour drive. It would take a while, but you could stop nightly so you can all rest and not have to deal with finding a place to park an RV. Maybe combine that with Yari's idea and you could crash with a BDWer to save on hotels! I think you've exhausted every other means of transportation. With a car you would have better control of the situation and if you needed to stop or (god-forbid) go to a doctor, it would be a lot easier than trying to stop a train. With Gwen being so young, she should sleep most of the trip. I will warn you that if she gets used to sleeping in a car to soothe herslef, I can see many nights driving around the block in your future! LOL

That is so true! Ive probably spent at least $1000 for every wedding I've been in. That is a big reason we kept our bridal party small and I have "honorary bridesmaids" who have helped me with my DIY projects here. Turthfully, they have been more helpful than my "real" bridesmaids.

Honor Marie isn't that bad. It's a very old name but I've always seen it spelled Honore. I bet she is a beautiful baby! I'd love to see pictures!

Welcome and Congrats! I would suggest browsing hte wedding reviews and Cabo forums first to gather some info. You have plenty of time to plan! You might want to look at some different travel agencies who can give you more specific info and pricing. We have several great ones here! ALos, You should probably start with a wish list. Include budgetary concerns, all-inclusive or not, adults only or family oriented, etc. Good luck and happy planning!

Like Maura siad, wiat to change your name. FYI - if you just got your passport this year, you have 1 year to submit it for a name change at no charge. If you've had your passport for over 1 year, you have to do a renewal, even if it isn't expired. Any international travel will require your name on the passport to match the name on the ticket.

The best thing you can do is try it on. I have sizes all over the board! I'm a 10 in street clothes, my rehearsal dress is a BM dress from Davids. The skirt is a 10, the top a 16. My slip was a 14 and my dress is a 14. My TTD is a 16. I think a lot of it depends on the designer and where it fits on your body.

Talk about procrastinating! I need to finish up my programs ASAP! I leave in a week! I was planning a 3 page program, mainly so 3 columns = 1 complete program. They are the kind that are bound at the top with ribbon. On the first page I have the ceremony outline, credits for the music and reading, etc. The second page is the bridal party. Now, I'm at a loss for what to put on the last page. Our readings are too long and won't fit. I don't really want to do another "thanks for coming to our wedding" page because I have a personalized thank you in each OOT Bag, i said thank you in their travel packets, welcome packets, on the website, etc. It kinda feels like over-kill. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! I'm ready to pull my hair out with all this last minute crap!

In my experience with the resorts I looked at, you got a discounted rate but then ifyou book the property for your wedding, you get that amount back in a credit towards your stay. Some companies like Sandals had a 1 day site visit from several major cities during the week where you would fly down at 6 am and back at 6 pm for only $99 per person. If you booked you got the credit back. I don't know if they still offer that with gas prices being what they are.

Did you know... Brides would wear veils to confuse any evil spirits. THe Bridal party came about because all of the girls would dress in white with veils so that evil spirits would not know who the true bride was and couldn't harm her.
