We are married!!
ErinB replied to rodent's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Sorry, I'm a little late, but CONGRATS!!!! I'm sure you're excited for your "real" wedding on Saturday! -
I love the question game! We did one at a cousin's shower. The groom answered 25 questions, so easy and some were pretty tough. Each time the bride gets one wrong she has to put a piece of gum or a grape or something in her mouth. Her questions were pretty out there so but the end of the game she looked like a chipmunk and could barely speak! They were questions like, who was the first teacher he had a crush on, what was his little league jersey number, what color was his favorite bike, how many kids does he want, etc. We also did a "relay" race where the girls lined up in two teams. Then they put one of those big diamond paperweight/napkin rings along this really long piece of ribbon. Each guest had to thread the ribbon through each arm of her shirt across her chest to the next person - in one sleeve and out the other. The winning team got a little prize. I think they were Yankee Candles or something. I felt like an idiot but it was funny to watch and certainly active!

Did you take a Benadryl? You can also ice the area to see if that helps the swelling go down. Wrap an icepack or a bag of frozen peas in a towel and test it out... I would say be sure you keep it clean and dry. You might want to ask a pharmacist or call your doctor Monday.

The BM Dresses are Mori Lee. They are SOOOO cute in person! They were about $100 each. I'll post my flowers elsewhere. There was quite a bit of drama surrounding them! I have little detail things that aren't quite finished yet, but will add later just in case anyone wants to know. All of my extras will be sold after the wedding, so be on the look out!

OMG!!!!! I can't believe I leave Monday morning! I was super calm until I typed that! It goes without saying that I could never have done any of this without the help and support of my fellow BDW brides. I hope this can be as helpful to future brides as some of the others were to me! I am truly greatful to each and every one of you! I heart BDW! I still have quite a bit to do, but at least I work well under pressure! The Red Bull helps too! This is just an overview. I have most of the details in my Blog and will finish posting when I get back if I run out of time. PS - It took some time to sort through all of the pictures, due to the massive amount of ferret pictures I have! Congrats Ladies!

Oh no! Hopefully, if people really are that confused, they will call or at least e-mail you. I think they are cute, but then again, I am all about the DW! What's the old saying "Make something idiot proof, and they will build a bigger idiot" So sorry for your troubles, but I'm sure it will work out. Worst case scenario, you'll have some surprise guests!

Those are great! -
Hey ladies, sorry for the suspense! No baby on the way! The dress is fixed. The seamstress yesterday told the manager what happened and she went ahead and let the bust out. There is too much detail on the back and too little time to change it. It looks good, but she just let out the side seam and didn't put any darts in so it would stay close to my body. So, I had to buy chicken cutlets to stuff my bra to fill in the gaps on each side! I'm totally fine with it, I just think it's funny that we had all of this trouble with me having too much up top to not having enough! I have never in my life stuffed my bra! I'm a DD! And now I'm doing it on my wedding day! LOL I'm just glad it's over and I can get back to "normal", whatever that is 4 days before you leave! Thanks for all of the support. I seriously don't know how I could have gotten this far without BDW. Now, I need to go work on my Planning Thread!

Do you want fairies at your wedding?
ErinB replied to Jen_S's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Those are really cute. I've also seen people use "flower wands" instead of petals or pomanders for the girls to carry. Sometimes the girls are too young to understand what to do with the petals or the venue won't allow them. Here's some cute pictures: For Sale: My Wedding! « Weddingbee Classifieds -
OMG! there are too many to think of... 1) I was at a Metallica concert when I was 19, I guess. At this venue, they stop serving beer when the main act goes on. So, there is this guy who is HAMMERED! He was stumbling down to his seat with 2 drink carries of beer = 8 beers. I grabbed both of them and said "Thanks so much sweetie! I really appreciate you getting the beer!" and gave him a kiss on the cheek. I always wondered when he figured it out, considering a) there were 8 beers and at stadiums they cost like $6 a piece! 2) We were out for someone's birthday and somehow got separated when leaving. I headded for one cab and they climbered into another. We decided to meet at White Castle. I stayed there for about 30 minutes waiting for them and they never showed! WHen I ordered my food the girl asked if I wanted anything to drink and I told her no and pulled a can of beer out of my purse and proceeded to drink it with my chicken rings. I decide I'm going to walk back to my friend's house since I can't get in touch with her and I didn't have any cash so the cab wouldn't take me. 3 miles in stilhetto heels at 4:30 am is not fun! By the time I got to her house, both of my heels were cracked and I find this trail of White Castle wrappers across the yard, and both of my friends passed out in the lawn furniture. 3) My roommate got drunk one night during the Christmas season and he and some friends went out and stole a bunch of plastic yard decorations. They then tried to start a bonfire with them in the backyard. That was fun to explain! While they were out, they also re-arranged all of those lighted deer into dirty poses. My making out story--I was 16 and leaving the Derby. It's pretty much Mardi Gras confined to a tiny field that horses run around. My college neighbor boy and I always used to flirt but he called me jailbait. So, I run into him, literally, crossing (I use that term loosely) the street. So, we proceed to make out in the middle of the road with all of these cars honking at us to move. My friend drags me away and goes "did you just tie up all of the traffic on 4th street?" I know I have better stories, I just can't remember any! LOL

I think involving your sister is a great idea. That way, if he truly is disappointed you won't have to look at puppy-dog eyes and cave! LOL I do think honesty is the best policy though. Tell him you love him but this is not how you envisioned your wedding and you hope that he can respect your decision. You can always say that you wanted to be sure your step-monster has someone next to her to keep her on her leash. I'm sorry that was mean! Can you tell what I've had to deal with recently? LOL
