You only take a picture of the scale, not your whole body. If you weigh with clothes or shoes, you should do it the same way every time to get consistent numbers.
The weight loss is determined by percentage lost, so how much you are down from your starting number, actual pounds won't matter. Some of us have 50 pounds to lose where as others might ony have 10, so this keeps it fair.
