I love my MIL, but she is the biggest worrier I have ever met! I sent her the list of liquor we need for the AHR. She and my FIL are both retired military so they get big discounts on base. Well, she didn't know what size bottle a 750ml (standard) was, so she got all handles (1.75L)! We have enough liquor for about 400 people. SO, if anyone will be in Kentucky next weekend, feel free to stop by for a drink! Our next group vacation will be to re-hab.

Welcome to the forum! I loved your intro! You'll find lots of great resources here. I'm sure your bride will appreciate all of your efforts. There were a few times I wanted to slap my fiance for not getting it! LOL

For me personally, they are creepy! Especially the ones that are sleeping! She really is a great artist in being able to create something so life like. I agree that I can see how they could be therapeutic, but also not. There are some weirdo people in this world, so no telling what they would do to them!

ErinB's TTD!!! *Pic Heavy*

Alyssa - The dress was poly satin. I was actually a bridesmaids dress that cam in white. It was only $150! And, since it was a BM dress, it wasn't as heavy and didn't have a double lining. I just hung it up on the shower head to wash wash it then took it out to the patio and hung it up to dry. I only took a few hours. I'll probably try to sell it once I get all of my other wedding left-overs together and get the AHR out of the way. THe sand in the hair was kind of an accident. All of the other waves were tiny, so I really wasn't getting very wet and just the bottom of my hair had sand. Well, the photographer was kneeling down to get a different angle and this tidal wave comes and completely covers me! A few people came running down to the beach to ask if I was ok! I'm just glad we didn't lose the camera, since I did the shoot before the wedding! The sand pretty much came right out of my hair, it however took about 2 days to come completely out of my ears! Awww. Thanks for all of the compliments! THe wedge flip flops are from Victoria's Secret. They were $25. I'll be selling them in two weeks after my AHR. The rings are Kate Landry from Dillards. They are sterling sliver with the pave fake diamonds. The color is "Caribbean Mist" so I couldn't pass them up! Original price was $40, but I got them half off. The flowers were a little dramatic. I don't hink I ever posted the story. If not, I'll go back and do so. I ordered from my normal everyday florist here, thinking I knew the quality of his work. Well, he apparently can't do silks! They were just not what I wanted. A close friend and I re did them. So, we used his stuff as a base and went to Hobby Lobby and bought some additional flowers. He did all orchids, but I think he was just trying to use too much greenery so they looked really fake. We bought white and pink peonies, real touch roses and a calla lillies. Hobby Lobby has a great selection and about every other week they run a 50% off sale. You can also get coupons online and in the mail and use them both.

Does anyone else have a SO addicted to WOW? I think I might kill my new DH if he doesn't get off the F***ING computer soon! He hasn't been motivated to do a damn thing since we've been back from Jamaica! His whole family is from out of town, and the first ones will be arriving on Wed. AHHHHHHHH! I am so pissed I am seriously considering taking a baseball bat to the whole system! He gets in this stupid trance and just kinda grunts at whatever I say. I told him I was going to get an annulment if he didn't get off his ass and the response was "Ok I love you"

The recent changes in airfare and oil pricing have royally screwed ticket prices! The airlines don't announce a schedule more than 330 days out (10 months). We told our guests to plan $2000 per person for the week when we got engaged in March. In September we got our pricing. It was about $2000 for the week and $1500 for the weekend, Thursday to Monday. Mexico might be cheaper, but I would recommend getting a place that you and your FI like. No matter what you do, someone in your group will be unhappy or not able to afford the trip. Be careful not to get caught up in making everyone else happy.

During the reception I snuck out and changed into my TTD dress. No one noticed, so they were shocked when I went over the edge of the restaurant into the pool! BIL bet me $20 that I wouldn't do it and I told him if I did, he had to too! -

We did get a few together right before the sun set. Luckily you can't see my foot! -
Here's a few highlights... This shoot was probably the most fun I had on the trip. I want to take all of my pictures from now on fully clothed and in the ocean! I did this alone. We were going to do one together, on our last day, but I sliced my foot open and was all bandaged up. I did the pool first, the the ocean. People thought I was crazy! Several even came over to take their own photos!

Pro Pics are here! We took our photographer, who happens to be a good friend, with us for the entire week. I had 15 discs of pictures! Needless to say, it took me a while to sort through them! Overall, I was very happy with them! There are one or two that I would really like to edit, but my photographer said most of that is because it is hard to look at yourself. LOL I will post some of my favorites, but to see more you can check our our website: Wedding Website | Erin Cornwell and Mike Bowers All of the pictures can be viewed on Kodak, but you would have to have insomnia, or 5 hours of down time, to go through them all! LOL Kodakgallery.com My Gallery The passowrd is: Jamaica (If it asks for one) Here we go! Pre-Ceremony: You can't tell the flowers were fake this close up!

Welcome Stephanie! Not much time left to go! How are you holding up?

Congrats Martha and Jay! I'm so happy for you! I can't believe you didn't take a picture! And you didn't tell us! That's not very good BDW behavior! LOL

Cherry Limeade! Hands Down! The stuff is dangerous because it goes down so smoothly and quickly! I don't know quantities, we usually set up everything up on the bar and people can make them as strong as they like. Start with the Simply Lime Limeade (minute maid makes a cherry limeade but it's not as good) Add Cherry Vodka (1 oz) Add a Citrus Vodka (1/2 oz) Shake the above 3 together. You can strain into a Martini glass or drink over ice Float a little bit of cherry juice/syrup over the top If you want it to be fizzy, you can add some sprite. I really does taste like summer!

I'm doing ok. I went shopping for my candy buffet for the AHR and let me tell you, I do not do well with temptation. I did have salad for dinner and 1 bean burrito. I really need to get better about my eating times. I'll grab breakfast between 8-9. I always start off healthy! Steel cut oatmeal and fresh fruit, maybe some yogurt. Then, I don't get lunch until 2-4 usually. I'm not hungry at 6 for dinner, I want to eat a 9-10. I also eat cheese out of a bag all of the time, Michelle. Don't feel bad! I about died when I read that! I'm not going to have time to really workout this weekend. I have to psycho clean my house. I've got one of those plastic sweatsuits so I might need to throw that on. I still haven't tried on my dress to make sure I can zip it up next Sat!
