*Official chat thread for BIGGEST LOSER 3* (UPDATED WITH WINNER!!)
ErinB replied to Maura's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I gained a pound! I didn't work out at all and got really hammered drunk on Monday. I"m not surprised. The AHR is this weekend, so I'm not expecting next Wednesday to be stellar either. I work well under pressure, LOL. Hopefully I can rally from behind! -
Amy and Hanssel's Non-Pro Pics

WOW!!!!!! Amy, everything was beautiful! I can only imagine how great your pro pics will be! -
Do you stalk your registries?
ErinB replied to Alyssa's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I'm stalking right now! We didn't get a lot from our registries for the showers, and there is stuff that we really need/want with us putting the offer in on the house. I want to move in with all new stuff! I know Mike won't want to spend our wedding cash on decor, so I'm hoping that those who don't follow the registry will go the gift card route. **On a side note. If I registered, buy me something from my f-ing registry! I can't tell you have many picture frames I have right now. And some obvious re-gifts. Anyone want a snowflake brandy decanter? I'll be happy to share the love! -
I dyed my crinoline... myself

So I only have the pictures from the website. My camera wasn't charged. THe interior is nice, new paint and carpet, etc. But it's all pretty much beige. LOL There are some things I would like to change, just for personal preference, but nothing that would keep us from moving in. I love older homes and this one has a lot of character - 10' ceilings, crown molding, intricate door frames and extra wide doors, built in book cases surrounding the fireplace... Here is the exterior: And the view from the front: It sits on a court, where there are only 8 houses and no traffic in the front. All garages, etc are down alleys on both sides. I really wanted a place where the dog and future kids can play without me freaking out! This one is the corner lot so it has the most land.

oh, that is just waaaayyyy too weird for me! And I am ticklish, so probably not my best option.

I just talked to the realtor! We go see it at 5:30 TODAY!!!! One of our GM (the one thta isn't huge if you've seen the pics) is a mortgage broker and he is doing the pre-approval stuff right now! I'm excited but I also kind of want to throw up! LOL

To answer the question LOL, if you are using weights, you should give your body and muscles a day to rest. When I was being good and in the gym 6 days a week, I would alternate upper and lower body. For example; Monday - Glutes, & calves Tuesday - Biceps & Triceps Wednesday - Thighs Thursday - Back Friday - Quads & hamstrings Saturday - Chest I would do between 50 & 100 crunches a day and 30-60 minutes of cardio. Yoga was usually 3 days a week. That was the reason I was a size 2! I know that you can do yoga everyday and it's actually better to do so when you are starting out so you can retain and increase flexibility.

Do you work out at home or a gym? If you have access to a pool, swimming is the best thing you can do because there is virtually no joint impact. You might see if you can find an aqua aerobics class. Those will whip you right into shape!

ErinB's TTD!!! *Pic Heavy*
ErinB replied to ErinB's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
OMG! It was the most fun ever! I actually did the TTD before the wedding, since I had 2 dresses. It was so much fun I managed to convince MIke to do it with me again after the wedding. Unfortunately it got too dark and I mangled my foot. I would do it again in a second. -
Look like you had a blast! Those big cocktails look yummy! Miami is beautiful but SOOO expensive!
-
Congrats and welcome! Give yourself at least a week to enjoy being engaged before you start planning! LOL The time will fly by!

I'm guessing with HIPPA, the doctor might jsut be able to say medical condition. You might want to say heart condition, pain management, etc. I just personally wouldn't want to many details out there. I'm really weird about stuff like that though. I'll walk around naked, but don't want anyone to know I had a flu shot...go figure.

I've gotten good e-mails today! In English tradition, Wednesday is considered the "best day" to marry, although Monday is for wealth and Tuesday is for health. Saturday is considered the unluckiest wedding day! *** A Swedish bride puts a silver coin from her father and a gold coin from her mother in each shoe to ensure that she'll never do without. Moroccan women take a milk bath to purify themselves before their wedding ceremony. For good luck, Egyptian women pinch the bride on her wedding day. *** Diamonds set in gold or silver became popular as betrothal rings among wealthy Venetians toward the end of the fifteenth century. Seventeen tons of gold are made into wedding rings each year in the United States! Queen Victoria started the Western world's white wedding dress trend in 1840 -- before then, brides simply wore their best dress. *** The tradition of a wedding cake comes from ancient Rome, where revelers broke a loaf of bread over a bride's head for fertility's sake. *** In many cultures around the world -- including Celtic, Hindu and Egyptian weddings -- the hands of a bride and groom are literally tied together to demonstrate the couple's commit- ment to each other and their new bond as a married couple (giving us the popular phrase "tying the knot").

You should be fine if you keep them in the original bottles and keep them in his carry-on. I had some narcotics and it wasn't ever questioned. It might not be a bad idea to have a letter from his doctor with you just in case. I wouldn't have to list specifics, just FI has a medical condition... TSA: Travelers with Disabilities and Medical Conditions Here's the link to the TSA site. You can also call them if you have a specific question that isn't answered. I had to call about taking my flowers. Since they were fake I didn't want to have them confiscated because they have wired stems. I was told that if a question isn't answered or there isn't an offical policy, it is up to an individual screening agent.

I feel the same way! I want him to pay attention to me when it works for me! LOL If we buy the new house maybe we won't be able to afford WOW...B ut then again, he'll probably try to offer decoration advice, so maybe I need to keep paying for it...

Engagement Photographer/Wedding Photographer
ErinB replied to SgtPepperette's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I think it would probably be more cost effective to use 2 different photographers. I'm sure there are some great ones in the Detroit area. Downtown has so many photo opportunites! You never know, you could really like your e-pics and be able to get a deal on the wedding photos if the photog will come with you. Mine came with us for the whole week for the cost of the trip. Granted it wasn't cheap, but now we have the entire week captured in high quality photos. -
Giving Up Wine I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner. I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked, 'If I give you this money, will you buy wine with it instead of dinner?' 'No, I had to stop drinking years ago', the homeless woman told me. 'Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?' I asked. 'No, I don't waste time shopping,' the homeless woman said. 'I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive.' 'Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?' I asked. 'Are you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!' 'Well, I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I 'm going to take you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight.' The homeless woman was shocked. 'Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting.' I said, 'That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up wine, shopping, and hair appointments.'

Jenny, that is too funny! Mike doesn't set an alarm but he he does adhere to his raid schedule. It's only supposed to be Tuesdays and Sundays and one other day. I forget, because he always manages to have to do "one little thing" every night of the week. He was trying to by some sort of speedy bird thing. That's why he couldn't help clean the house.

http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22851 It is probably in here. Please try doing a search for future ROR questions. We've had a ton of ROR brides, so the answers are probably out there! LOL You can also browse the Jamaica forum. This link was on the second page. The mods work really hard to keep the forum organized! Also, in case you don't know (since you're still a newbie) it costs 50 points to open an attachment each time. If you think it something you will want to look at more than once, be sure to save it. Good Luck!

He just said, well if you work out with someone than you are pushed more. I said, well I cant really afford a trainer right now, and I actually have a walking partner. We are in training right now. She just is out of town this week. He gave me his number in case Im still interested. lol Well, it's better than the girl at the nail salon asking when your baby is due! -
I'm so excited, I'm about to pop! We aren't really even looking, this one just kinda fell into our laps. We were hoping to get serious this fall, but we may be on a much tighter time frame now. The house is actually on that DH used to live in in college. They tried a thousand times to get the owner to sell it and she wouldn't. Now, it's been vacant going on 2 years and she is apparently desperate to get rid of it. She's come down 30K from her original asking price! It's 2000 sq ft. with 2 full baths, 4 beds, and new everything - roof, furnace, AC, remodeled kitchen, fenced yard, etc. It is at the very top of our price range but is in move in condition. There are of course some cosmetic things I would like to do, but nothing that would stop me from buying. I need everyone to send us lots of happy $$$$ thoughts. We need to get approved for the loan and get lots of envelopes as presents at our AHR! LOL
