I haven't sent my passport in yet, but have heard it takes about 3 weeks if they only have to do a name change. I personally would wait, just to be sure. I don't know if the airline will charge you, since you are the same person and not a new guest. We don't have our official marriage license yet but were still able to change some things, like insurance.

That is really cute! And she could wear it again as a party dress if she wanted. I'm all about getting your money's worth!

Abbie those are great! I think some of them really do look professional, great use of lighting. And the underwater camera must have been a ton of fun! I loved doing TTD and highly recommend it too! I'm kinda sad I can't do it again.

Welcome! Don't worry about timing. You are actually in better shape, because the rates for both hotels and airlines will be out now and you can get an accurate idea of the total cost. Speaking from experience, only do what you have time to do and are comfortable with. You might see a million cool DIY projects that you would love to do, but your guests will have no idea. Don't take on too much!

I don't know if I ever posted bachelorette photos. Here is our group with our 6" inflatable leprachaun mascot, Lucky. Here we have Nibblets and a friend in all of their St. Patty's Day finery! They really do love theme parties. The bar owners were so nice and accomodating...

I love the advice pages and envelopes! For Jamaica, I had a notebook that was passed around at all of the showers and pre-wedding events. Each guest was asked to write something, a memory, advice, well wishes, recipe, etc. By the end of everything it got filled up! For the AHR we had a photobooth. Each guest got a page to keep and a page for us. The one they gave to us went into a scrapbook and they signed the page. It was a HIT! They had costumes & props so some of the pictures are a little crazy. I tried to copy Amy's dry erase board idea, but when you combine markers and cameras and liquor, the result is not always a good one! LOL Some were a little sexual and one of the signs just said BALLS. There was no nudity, so I guess we need to be thankful for that.

Couples schedules the shuttle based on your arrival time, so you shouldn't have to wait. It does take about 15 minutes to get everything settled and checked in with them. You might possibly have to ride on the bus that makes a stop at CN before CSA but they are on the same street, about 10 minutes apart.

Look at Mori Lee. They have several collections in various price ranges. Mine were from the Affairs line and were $125, though I did find them online for $104. You always have the option of looking for a plain dress through Macy's, Dillards, Nordstrom, etc. On-line they have bigger selections and you can be assured of sizes. David's Bridal has a good selection for under $200.

We had no problems, and infact saw several gay/lesbian couples at our resort. I don't think they will have any trouble, especially in a group.

It was beautiful! I can't wait for pictures. The whole day I kept thinking how happy I was that it was NOT my wedding day. I was so worried that it be perfect. I had to do the decorating and prep the food, someone else was hired to serve it. Anything that could go wrong did go wrong! LOL I was probably the only one who knew, but still. The cake split in half and completely fell apart so it had to be re-done. The slideshow wouldn't play so the photographer was late because she was re-burning them, a server didn't show up, one whole case of liquor didn't get delivered, etc. On a positive note, my dress zipped right up and fit better than it did in Jamaica. We had a lot of people RSVP that didn't show, so there was a lot of extra food and alcohol. It was a fantastic event, I was just a little disappointed more people weren't there to see all of the hard work that went into it. I'm hoping to get pictures soon!
