  1. I think Twitch did ok. So much of it is the routine though! Josh and Katie had that extremely physical Pacedoble, Mark and Courtney had the fun contemporary number. That was honestly one of my favorties all season! Twitch had a samba? with Chelsea, but she is a latin ballroom dancer, so she will always look good. Then they had a hip hop, so twitch was in his style. I don't know what will happen! I think you can watch the dances on the fox website and on youtube.
  2. Carry it on! If it's in a bridal bag, they shouldn't hassle you. I had lots of people pay me special attention because I had the dress, so I would recommend it! LOL I don't trust shipping, but then again, I'm a little paranoid!
  3. OPI has a good UV ray protector coat that you might try. I can't remember the actual name of it off the top of my head.

I carried on my dress, flowers, and all of the glass. I had all of the OOT stuff primarily in one suitcase, with the exception of the candles. They were too heavy so had to end up going in Mike's golf bag I think. The other suitcase had ceremony stuff and the craft supplies I needed for last minute projects. I used every bit of space I had in every bag. We did have to keep them under 50 pounds. I had my second bag and my mom's second bag and we each took a carryon. Mike had my dress and his suit and no one questioned him about having two. I think there were enough of us that they figured it would be spread around somehow.
  5. Do you go to the tanning bed? Often the lights will react with polish, even clear and make them yellow. If you use a bronzing lotion that can tint them as well. My tanning bed sells this little things that look like rubber thimbles that go over your nails to keep them from turning.
  6. Who's excited/nervous for the vote off tonight? I cannot BELIEVE that Will is gone!!! That was a total shocker last week. DH and I were talking and sometimes the "losers" actually end up doing better. I can totally see him getting signed with Alvin Ailey. I'm guessing that Mark or Twitch will be the boy voted off and Courtney will be the girl. Thoughts...
  7. So the offer is officially in! We should hear an acceptance or counter by 9pm tonight. I didn't tell DH, but I don't know if it will go through. My realtor said that the listing agent isn't very nice and told her, "we the seller is already listing 30k less than her original asking price" So my realtor said, "well, they can close in as little as 14 days, they are pre-approved for funding, there are no contingencies, and as of September the house will have been on the market for 2 years." We know she's turned down one offer already." To which the other agent replied "yeah, she really regrets not doing that" Umm, it's not my problem and I don't want this mean lady telling her to hold off! I'm just really freaking out right now. Mainly because there is nothing I can do about the situation.
  8. Oh, and as a sandwich alternative, you could do a tortilla or lavash wrap. They hold up longer than simply meat on bread. You make a flavored cream cheese, spread it on first, add tomates and lettuce, then meats. Roll them up, put them in the fridge to chill and set up then slice them into big pinwheels!
  9. If you are worried about heat, do a vinegar based salad dressing. I love the Cucumber, Onion and Tomato salad. Or a Caprese Salad with fresh mozzerella, basil, and capri tomatoes. I also make a really good greenbean salad with the long french snap beans, sauteed shallots and garlic with julienne colored bell peppers in a champagne dressing.
  10. My wedding band fits inside of my e-ring. I am actually thinking about getting a tungsten band to match Mike's that I can wear to work. My ring is really sparkly and get dirty really fast, especially in a kitchen. I was always told the wedding band goes on the bottom, closest to your heart.
  11. I have the big guy. Check out my Planning thread or blog to see if it is the one you are looking for. I used it on my STDs. I was actually going to post all of my wedding left overs tonight. I paid $15 for it so I'd probably sell it for $5 or $10 depending on shipping costs.
  12. That was great Becks! You are so creative! I can't believe it's almost the big day for both of you. It gets me a little choked up!
  13. There are quite a few on here. Just do a search and see what comes up. VistaPrint offers really good pricing, and most of the ladies have gone through them. Keep in mind that to open a documnet, you will need 50 points EACH TIME YOU OPEN IT! If it is something you think you will use often, be sure to save it. This goes for all templates, documents, photo files that aren't in the post or linked, etc. I've donated some points to you to get started. You earn you own by participating in the forum, posting new threads, responding to others, etc. My Jamaica Travel Book is in my blog.
  14. Glenda don't feel bad! That is so something I would do. Are any of his friends single? Maybe you could use them like business cards to get him a date...

  18. Be sure to use the search function. I find it helps to do an advanced search and select title only if you are looking for something specific. This is what the search for "monogram" in titles only returned: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t24988 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t18124 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t26012 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8310 Our very own Sarah is FANTASTIC and can create anything. Lots of brides have used her for monograms, invites, STDs, etc. Sproullie Designs | Custom Photobooks, Invitations and more!
  19. WOW! That's all I can say. Matt did a fabulous job as usual. The day must have been full of emotion and it was captured beautifully. You really look happy and in love and your guests seemed to be having as much fun as the two of you. I cried through most of the gallery and when I got to the poem, it was over! LOL
  20. Welcome to the forum! You will find tons of helpful info! The wedding will be here before you know it!

    Hello

Welcome! You'll find lots of good ideas here!
  23. I did a 4" wedge flip flop and changed into real shoes for the reception. They are pictured in my planning blog. They are also on sale right now at VS for $15. I found that having an aisle runner really helped.
  24. I just found this... Greetings to all: Our policy has not changed and is consistent across all resorts. Same sex couples, regardless of sexual preference, are accepted at every Couples Resort. Having said this, it must be understood by all that homosexuality is illegal in Jamaica. PDA's by either two consenting males or two consenting females is not recommended, particularly off property, as much of the Jamaican population may find such behavior offensive. As I have stated numerous times, 99.9% of couples at our resorts are opposite sex and every piece of literature and collateral we produce is directed toward opposite sex couples. The absolute bottomline is that Couples Resorts accepts all couples in love. Luv n' Life, Randy Russell CRO and SVP Couples Resorts
