  1. We have lots of multiple dress brides. I was one myself. I think I bought my dress too soon. It was the excitement of engagement, etc. I had gone shopping and really liked this particular dress. Well, I went home and found it on e-bay for $200. Naturally, I had to buy it. It's still in the back of my closet awaiting a photo shoot so I can attempt to re-sell it. Even with my second dress, I had a few reservations. I think it was because the dress was over my budget. Looking back now, I LOVED my dress and I can honestly say I felt beautiful on my wedding day!
  2. Both are beautiful gowns! You might want to re-size the bottom photo or include one of you in the dress, so potential buyers can get a better view. You can also try SavetheDress.com - Used wedding dresses. New, sample & used designer gowns. Buy & sell online., Craig's List, or E-bay.
  3. I don't think $10 is too much, if you can afford it. We all have different budgets with different priorities. I spent about $20-30 on each OOT bag, so that is $10 per person. Because of that, I chose to do little favors, bottles of sand. I also only had 30 guests, so the totals weren't too bad. I could not have done the same things if I had had 50 guests. If you are using them as GM gifts, them I say go for it! They suit the theme and you could actually get a set for their house instead of just one. DH was recently in a wedding and he got monogrammed golf tees as a gift. They were nice (and expensive) but I don't know how much use he will get out of them. The mug would have been a lot more practical.
  4. I'm not saying anything about how other people choose to raise their families. If I had a ton of money, I would adopt or give birth to as many babies as I could. I do have a personal issue with having 6 kids if you are going to hire 4 nannies. I know that every mother and father, especially those who work full-time, need help. I just know that I would like to be a little more hands on.
  5. Thanks Jamy! This is very important info to have.
  6. It looks amazing! I just checked out their website. We drove past Rose Hall on the way to Negril and it was beautiful. Since they aren't open yet, it looks like you might have to be the guinea pig! DH and I might look into that for another vacation.
  7. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the recent engagement! The forum is a wonderful resource! I know you will find a ton of info!
  8. If you book now, it shouldn't be a problem because it is so early. I'm pretty sure that no one in Jamaica will perform a wedding on Sunday. That seemed to be the case everywhere I looked. Couples has huge parties for Christmas an New Years, so ROR might have something similar going on that could limit location for the ceremony or reception. Again, I think if you can contact a coordinator early, you'll be fine
  9. You looked so pretty! And what a nice shower! Your friends rock! When the showers start, the reality sets in! Your big day is almost here!
  10. Passport Home Here is the passport website, but I didn't find anything. It's kinda confusing to navigate.
  11. I was told that your passport had to be valid 6 months from the date of departure. (Maybe if something happens and you get stuck you won't have to deal with passport issues too?) This could have been an individual airline policy...I don't know. No one in my group was close to the expiration. I do know that if you renew now, you have 1 year to submit for the name change at no extra cost. If you wait more than a year, it counts as a renewal and you have to pay the full price.

  19. Will you find something similar for the girls that are going? As Tami said, $10 each isn't bad until you have 60 guests! And, you have to figure out how to get all of them down to Jamaica... But, I love the idea and would love to have a set for my house! LOL!

  21. Those shoes are pretty hot! Why didn't you tell us you needed fushia heels? BDW girls can find anything!
  22. Those are cute. The price was right and your girls can definitely wear them again, which is always a plus!
  23. I just used plain satin ribbon from Michaels. If the cake is fondant, it shouldn't stick. If it's frosting, the baker usually will rub the outside with cornstarch to keep it from sticking. As long as the baker has a little advanced notice or an inspiration picture, it shouldn't be an issue. If you have a professional pastry chef, he/she should be able to make edible ribbon out of sugar/fondant/frosting so you won't have to worry about it!
