I read the first 2 books when they came out but now I want to read them again! I don't remember much from 10 years ago! LOL I do remember Elena being a mean girl though. The author, LJ Smith has restarted the series. One book is out now and the other is due in March, I think. Great idea about the GC, Rach. I have one to borders that I totally forgot about!

Great responses! Too add to what others have said, I would pre-screen a few photogs (if you are thinking of taking one down) and have her help you make the final decision. Be sure the photographer knows ahead of time about the situation and see how he/she reacts and if they have experience with the situation. You could appoint your mom photog for the week to take candids but leave your wedding day to a pro. You might tell her that the resort doesn't allow outside photographers/unlicensed professionals, something to kind of take you out of the loop. Since her experience is with yearbook layouts, tell her you would rather have her help designing your album. That way she is still involved and it could be a great bonding experience for the two of you. Good luck!

So we have our Top 20!!! So You Think You Can Dance - Top 20 Finalists Revealed I was really excited that the married couple wasn't split up! I'm also glad they took Bianca the tapper. That poor girl has made it to Vegas 3-4 times. It would just seem wrong to cut her again! As I understand it on Monday they are going to do a 'Meet the Cast' type show. Each dancer will do a solo, work in groups, and be introduced to their partner. On Tuesday, a 2-hour epidose, they will perform as partners and 1 couple will be eliminated. Phone in votes will be for the Top 18. Baseball is screwing up the schedule this year so watch for wacky dates! I'm hoping for another great start to the season like there was last year. So much of the dancers' success seems to be tied to who is partnered with whom. It will be interesting for sure. If B-Boy and Soccer player are paired together that could be disasterous! I'm wondering if/when Mia will make the announcement she is leaving? DH was wondering if she was sick because she shaved her head and mentioned last night that she was having a really rough time.

I'm just catching up. #1 - Don't forget to watch / set your DVRs! Tomorrow is the Top 20! I admit when I started this post, I thought it was Wednesday. Oops! I guess I'll be prepared! #2 - I'm sad to see Mia go! I really liked her. I hope she comes back as a guest judge or guest choreographer at least. I've also heard rumors that Paula Abdul will be a guest judge. I can't imagine her and Mary together! Did anyone see the story about Mary's marriage? So sad!

Lisa - I haven't been on the forum in a while and the SB in forever. I had no idea all of this was going on. I'm so sorry that you are dealing with all of this. BDW is an amazing place and I have met people I believe will truly be lifelong friends. Big hugs and warm thoughts to you, your dad, and your whole family. Ok, I'm all teary now!

Woo Hoo! We've made it through auditions and next week we find out who is in the Top 20! Dude, they have dragged this process out for sure. All of those injuries last night were making me queasy! That poor girl's ankle was not right! I'm going to google and see if I can find any spoilers for the Top 20. I have some thoughts, but i'd have to re-watch to remember all of their names.

I'll have to post a pic tomorrow. I have an ad in the paper and one on Craig's List. They are both pretty vague but I want her to be safe and I know if my dogs were lost I would call every single person who found a dog. I haven't been able to find a Pit specific rescue. I really want mom to keep her! I heart her.

You can always do it by yourself. I did mine alone and know of at least one other who has. I had a ball! I would have liked DH to do it with me, but I wasn't going to compromise. Some of those shots were my favorite and I have no regrets. We did go out later and got some shots of us together on the beach - DH in khaki shorts and me in my TTD. You could always start out that way and see if he will get caught up in the moment and join you!

I am a huge dog lover but have never rescued a dog before any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. Friday, this beautiful sweet girl showed up on my mom's doorstep. It was raining buckets and her porch is covered. She is not in good shape at all. She has some scars and fresh wounds. The pads of her paws are worn and cracked and we think she has recently had a litter but the pups are nowhere to be found. I don't know if she was abused, if she had the babies along her journey and lost them, or if someone took the puppies and dropped her. She was exhausted and had the saddest expression! Saturday we gave her some water and a small amount of food and a blanket. She slept all day and was very weak. It was cold last night, so I made her a house out of a box and duct tape and gave her more blankets. She was so weak she couldn't move from the porch. She did get up for a few minutes today to go lay in the sun. I'm a little worried because we haven't seen her go potty. My mom isn't supposed to have pets at her place but I'm not comfortable bringing her home with me because I don't know if she is ill, has had shots, etc and I won't risk either of my dogs getting sick. She has the sweetest temperament and has been so loving to us. Today she rolled over so we could scratch her belly! I just don't know what to do with her! Mom is going to talk to her landlord to get approved for at least being a foster home. I don't think this will be a problem. She is either full blooded Pit Bull or at least a mix. If we take her to the county shelter they only give them 7 days before putting them down. The Humane Society will take her for a minimum of $25. If we want her on the no kill list there, it is a minimum of $100 depending on the kind of medical attention she needs. I can't live with myself if I know she will be put down because she isn't adopted, and we all know that Pits aren't adopted easily. My vet is coming out this week to look at her but neither of us can afford major vet bills. She's still in her cardboard house on mom's front porch because she isn't very mobile. I'm thinking we'll move her to the back tomorrow, but part of the reason we left her out front was in case anyone is looking for her. She is so gentle and loving it makes me wonder if she has a family out there somewhere. I don't know if she was rescued once before or something? I also keep thinking of the movie Homeward Bound and that maybe she is trying to get back to her home! LOL

No, my flowers didn't smell. They were lighter than a real bouquet, but this probably depends on your flower choice. Roses are heavy! LOL Everyone thought they were real. I loved having them because they didn't wilt in the heat or turn brown and crusty. I have my bouquet and a BM bouquet on a shelf in my office on each side of our wedding picture. They were really easy to transport. I wrapped them in bubble wrap and tissue paper. They fluffed right up! The link to pics is in my siggy.

So was it just me or was Mary drunk for day 1 of auditions? Either that or she hadn't slept at all. She looked like hell and was slurring her words. I mean I know they were doing the real show in Cali then flying around to the different audition site but man, she was zanier than usual. I also found the b-boy at the beginning (was in a car accident, huge ear plug things) to be oddly hot in a dirty way. His eyes were amazing, so blue! I also loved Adam's what not to do dance moves. It's great when the judges actually dance! And Red-Bull Boy?!?! OMG I was LOL-ing at him!
