  1. I don't know what Canadian Post rules are, but I know A4 can be mailed in the US. If they return them to sender, why don't you just put the return address as your address as well, that way it comes to you!
  2. OMG!!! I think I just wet myself! I can totally picture it! And I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. I'm am serioulsy clumsy and always manage to hurt myself, especially on vacation!
  3. Yum Andrea! Sounds great! Though, for some reason, I hate angel hair pasta! LOL I always have to substitute! I'll have to find my favorite recipe. I usually just throw things into the pot, no measuring.
  4. I'm glad you guys had a good time! I am disappointed in the no video thing. You could have sent it to Amercia's Funniest Videos and won some cash!
  5. Welcome to the forum! Your big day will be here before you know it!
  6. I LOVE them! Way to bring a smile to Monday! It makes me wish Harley would let me dress him up. The most we can swing is a bandana when he goes to the groomer. I'm partial to the Lab pics. The Hula girl is hysterical and the headless horseman...Someone is really creative!
  7. I have turquoise and teal chair ties if they will work with your colors. They also make good table runners! PM me if interested.

    Noobie Here!

Welcome to the fourm! We have lots of Mexico brides who can help. Be sure to search around for info on different areas/resorts. We even have travel agents if you need help planning your trip! Good luck and Happy Planning!
  9. I agree. You need chairs. Like Alyssa said, the ceremony might be 15 minutes, but your guests will arrive early, you have to figure in the time it takes the processional, etc... You don't have to get expensive chairs. Usually the wooden folding chairs are about $5 each. If you want to cover them, it is another $5 for the cover and sash. If you want the Chivari chairs, those are $10-15 each, but should include the basic white pads. Custom color chair pads are an additional $5-10. Does your count of 30 include the bridal party? There were 30 of us in Jamaica, but 8 of us were standing at the altar. We only set up 24 chiars.
  10. Carly!!!! Those are great. I love the portraits of you and Matt in the gazebo. I teared up looking at the ones of the first dance. It looks like your guests had an amazing time! Isn't it weird now that all the wedding stuff is completely over? LOL I don't know what to do with myself now!
  11. Quote: Originally Posted by heather007 I looked at this shops pashminas and they are very beautiful. However, it's over $8.00 to order from him. Was it because you did not buy them from Ebay [seperate transaction] that you got them at a cheaper price? ~~ I think so. I contacted them directly and asked for a quote for 24. I think the pashminas were 3.75 and then the shipping and insurance. I think my final bill was $106? I did check out the webiste suggested above, the link labled "scarves". They have a minimum 24 piece first order policy.
  12. I don't think you need a veil, unless you just want one. The dress is beautiful as it is. You could just do a hair flower or sparkly clip or something. What does the back of the dress look like? If you do want to so with a veil, you might consider a long, single tier, that kind of makes a train... Be sure to check out the vendor that Ann and Maura and lots of the other girls have used. Occancy? I think? They are MUCH cheaper than the ones in the boutiques. (But still try them on for inspiration!)
  13. I think it might be fun for an AHR cake, but agree that for the DW it might freak out nervous flyers. Also, you might run into trouble finding a baker who would have the supplies, etc to re-create that for you in Mexico.
  14. Welcome back! I'm so excited to see pictures! I can't imagine how beautiful it must have been!
  15. Those are great! I love the colors! I think a lot of us used the tropical fruit stamps! LOL We're so lucky the post office cooperated with us!
  16. It's beautiful! The most important thing is that you are happy with your choice! Our only demand is that you supply us with pictures, so good job!
  17. Welcome to the forum! Happy Planning! You've come to the right place!
  18. I think there was a "to have and to hold and keep you from the cold..." or maybe i'm thinking of beer coozies...
  19. Congrats and Welcome! The forum is a great place for inspiration!
  20. Welcome to the forum! We have tons of ROR brides, past and present. Use the search function or browse the Jamaica and Wedding Reviews sub-forums for more info and pictures! Congrats!
  21. Kathi - I'm sorry people suck. I wish I had some words of wisdom, but if you've learned anything from BDW is that at least 50% of our families & friends have their heads up their asses! I agree - focus on the positives. You have a son and a wonderful husband. In 3 weeks you'll be a beautiful bride on a beautiful beach. You get a vacation in paradise. As for the people who don't go or complain, it's their loss. You just have to move forward and be thankful for those that do come to demonstrate thier love and support.
  22. How FUN! What beautiful performers! I'm glad you weren't too sick today! LOL I was thinking about you!
  23. This is our "first" house. The one Mike lived in when we started dating. It's really neat to be coming full circle. Our family of two (three if you count the dog) stated there and now we'll be able to raise our kids there! If all goes as planned we can have the keys in 10-14 days! Inspection is Tuesday and appraisal is set for Wednesday! I really think the BDW vibes worked!

    Hi

How exciting! June 21st is our first anniversary! Is that a random date or an anniversary for you, too?
