Anyone else excited for Grey's Anatomy tonight?!
ErinB replied to ret2010's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
I like McSoldier but McSexy, McManly, and Mc Hottie all fit. OOOH Sgt.Sexy...but I think I remember him being a Ltnt. Good episode. I'm so excited it's back. I hate that Alex is being a dick again and Izzy isn't really getting much in the way of storyline. I'm also having a hard time understanding how the hospital was down graded with all of the catastrophes that happened last season, LOL And are Callie and Erica dating now? I'm confused. I can't decide if Lexi is irritating or endearing... -
My roomba ate my veil

See, this is why housework is bad! I'd say try to have it stiched. Can you maybe add some extra beads to cover the area? -
Sylvia's Non-pro wedding pics

How pretty! I can't wait to see the pro pictures. Your flowers looked amazing! Were they real? -
Large White Shell for Ring Bearer
ErinB replied to Mrs D To Be!'s topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Try searching for a large Nautalis? shell. I think they have them at Michales/JoAnn/Hobby Lobby. I did see some poreceline ones at Target earlier this year, but they might be gone (or on clearance!) I actually found mine in Jamaica and purchased them there. -
I watch it. I think overall, HBO has great series. I love they are On Demand so I can catch up when I get a chance, even if it's 3 months later, LOL. I agree it has been a tad slow, but its hard at the beginning to establish all of the characters. I was wanting to get the books. They are by Charlaine Harris? and I think there are 8 of them in the series? Maybe... I tried to look them up on E-Bay and they are one of the hottest selling items. One auction was nearly $15 per used paperback book! You could buy them new for that!

That is a great site! I got a lot of inspiration from them, but couldn't remember the name to share. -
Couples Swept Away Review (insanely long and detailed)
ErinB replied to ErinB's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews

The reason I ask is Debbie just replied to one of my emails saying all price quotes are subject to change without notice. I have everything in writing but I don't want to be thrown a curve ball when I get there. Also did you have any off property guests? I had no off property guests. Debbie did her best to get me prices before hand. The price for a private dinner increased twice between the time I started planning and when we arrived. She told me both times that I would have to book by XX date to lock in the rate. When I first started working with the resort last year, it was $35 pp, it then went up to $65 and is now $95 I believe. I didn't see the point in spending an extra $3000 for the private reception. That equals new dining room furniture, KWIM? I paid what was quoted. $40 for the aisle runner, and $25 each for floral arrangements. I was quoted $11 per bag for rose petals and only paid $9. I REALLY wanted a bamboo chuppa, but was never really got a price from Debbie. I e-mailed Floral Fantasies myself about different arrangements. The price they quoted me was higher than what I paid, volume discount perhaps?, but still would have been about $600 for what I wanted. With Debbie, anything that you make arrangements for an is noted in your file should not change in price. My guess would be that things like the flowers, band, etc that the hotel does not control could be iffy. -
LOL! Too cute!

yeah, me too! Sorry girls! I guess this proves 2 thins: 1) I'm no math genius and 2) you really need to be careful with mis-information in e-mail forwards

Glad you guys caught the error. I was just posting to say that this guy was as bad at math as I am! Thank goodness for calculators!

Prices of Real / Natural touch stems?
ErinB replied to shellb's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I would try for Michaels/JoAnn/Hobby Lobby if you are going the DIY route. They run anywhere from $2-$10 per stem, however, they have 50% off sales at least once a month and you can use coupons on top of it. I did 4 bouquets for about $80. -
Anyone else excited for Grey's Anatomy tonight?!

Holy Crap! I forgot that started tonight! I'm glad my DVR has been set for a month! -
I love the way this man thinks! I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. > Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a 'We Deserve It Dividend'. > To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bon-a-fide U.S. Citizens 18+. > Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. > So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00. > My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a 'We Deserve It Dividend'. > Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. > > Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. > > But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00> > What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family? > > Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved. > Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads > Put away money for college - it'll be there > Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs. > Buy a new car - create jobs > Invest in the market - capital drives growth > Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves > Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else > > Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. > If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President. > If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult US Citizen 18+! > > As for AIG - liquidate it. > Sell off its parts. > Let American General go back to being American General. > Sell off the real estate. > Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. > Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't. > Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work." > But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! > How do you spell Economic Boom? > I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion 'We > Deserve It Dividend' more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington > DC. > And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 > Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. > Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest. > Kindest personal regards, > Birk > T. Wanted: White, wedge Flip flops Size 8
ErinB replied to Leia78's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
I have a pair. They are the 3" wedges from Victorias Secret. I think there are pics in my blog and in wedding pics. They are clean except for a few toe prints. I'll see if it will wash off. Check them out and see if you want them. PM me. -
I've never been to Vegas, so I say go and have fun. My family will make a party anywhere when we are together. If you do decide to go, I would start doing some research and try to get reservations some place for a Thanksgiving meal. Most restaurants (that are open) tend to book quickly, especially if you have a group. Some of the hotels might be offering a buffet package...I know how much you like research, so it shouldn't be a problem. I have a friend, also a chef, who lives there. I could ask her for some recommendations if you like.

Jamaica Brides, wheres the HM?
ErinB replied to divadivine25's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
We got married at Couples Swept Away and I highly recommend it. We were there for 8 days and spent time with family so we really didn't have a honeymoon. We are seriously thinking about going back to CSA. The original plan was to go to Greece for our 1-year, but we'll have to see what happens with the $$$ situation. -
I don't think I want to go back to high school. Of course, if my experience would be like GG, then I would consider it. My HS experience was more along the lines of Friday Night Lights... I've said you know you love me for years and always signed my letters xoxo!

Change Birthdate
ErinB replied to jajajaja's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
I thought you were a day older than me. I know someone with a b-day on almost every day of September. I was going to add you to my list! -
Jenny will get back into the mix from what I've read. I usually like to read books before I see movies, and I never knew that GG was a series. I'm tempted to go get them and read to see if they follow the same story line. I'm also watching True Blood on HBO (I love On Demand) and want to read those books.

SPAMMER: sharon nagassar flowers
ErinB replied to TammyWright's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Wow, good looking out Tammy. I hope they have a good product for your sake, Amanda. It is a shame that vendors can't be content to be happy about the business they get from referrals and follow the rules. I don't advertise in print at all, my clients are strictly word of mouth. I stay plenty busy and have a high quality clientele. -
I just started watching One Tree Hill this season, so i'm trying to catch up. I'm really liking the CW this season!

Spoiler Alert! I love spoilers. I can't help it. DH swears my favorite part of any show is "Stay tuned for a peek at next week's episode". Apparently Dan and Chuck are going to be BFF this season! Starting next week I think. My source: [spoilerFix.com] SpoilerFix.com messages to the visitors!
