I confess... I have done almost NO work today. I did write a to do list of things I must accomplish before I leave and threw a few things away to clean out the fridge and de-clutter the desk. The rest of the time I have been searching for travel deals for a tropical vacation that we cannot afford. I need to get out of here! LOL

Happy Happy Birthday Mel! I hope it's a fantastic weekend-long celebration. You deserve it! ANy special plans? -
Great review Becky! It look like everyone had an amazing time! Welcome back MRS!

I would word it like "Join us for a Wedding Weekend Celebration" July 16-19 or whatever. You should include hotel info if you want everyone to stay where you are, or if there is a hotel next door or something where you prefer the guests to stay. If it is a smaller property it could sell out so you might want to go ahead and block the rooms and tell guests they need to book early. It might help organize your guests (and yourselves) if you can have a few activities planned. Thursday - guests arrive - casual cocktails at the hotel Friday - Group activity (skiing, local tour, dinner, etc) Saturday - Wedding *Or switch Fri and Sat around* Sunday - guests will depart - maybe do brunch for those that are leacing later.

Congrats to you Bill! I hope you day is even more special than you dreamed of. All of your hard work and planning will come together for an amazing wedding! I can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures! Welcome to the League of Old Married Ladies!

I personally think that is too much for just a bed. We have 2 dogs and one is a puppy that chews so I can't justify spending that much money on soemthing that could get damaged, KWIM? Pottery Barn is very good quality though I do think you can find the same with other sellers. As long as you buy 100% real wood furniture, you should be fine. Value City and Nebraska Furniture Mart come to mind. You might also try an Amish furniture dealer. I always check Craig's List. The dining table set I want from PB is about $3500. I found it on CL for $1200.

I love the planning threads. Like all of my other photo whores, teh more pictures, the better. I also love the ferret thread. I laugh every time I read it. When it first started I was in the middle of planning/family crisis crunch time and it was a much needed break for me. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t19493 I also love the shoutbox thread. It's a great way to eacspe the wedding overload (or stay involved during the post wedding crash) and chat about random stuff. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t23927

I can't figure out how Sun fits into the plot. Is she good or bad? Is she trying to lure everyone back to the island to find it and in the process lead Whidmore there? Will she go back with the rest of the 6 and leave her daughter behind, knowing it is a dangerous situation?

Does the family have a website where they can update her condition and accept donations? Hopefully the news story will generate some funds.

Thanks ladies. I don't know why some things that seem so simple are so hard. And, I have a slight BDW addiction so anything wedding related has to be run past you guys first. After your input and some others, I think I will make a large book with everything for the parents. I know my mom wants one big album of everything. The resort pics are pro & pro quality. I figure if the parents are going to show people, they can show them the whole trip. I do wonder about my dad and his parents because they got there 3 days after us so they missed the beginning of the week activities...I guess that is where the major confusion lies. I will do a vacation book and a wedding book for us. The mini books will have the pictures of us with the BP member or family throughout the trip and then a few wedding photos. Maybe I should price all of this out first. That might make my decision for me!

Can anyone tell me who the lady is that told Ben he only had 70 hours to get to the island? What are your time travel theories? This is from the Lost forums on ABC http://forums.abc.com/n/pfx/forum.as...es&webtag=lost Quote: Time travel the ultimate theory!!! Submitted by john_locke915 on Jan-20 so how's this? in the pilot episode, when jack wakes up there is that dark cylinder thing right next to him which is suspiciously like the weapon that ben uses when he wakes up in the desert after time travelling forward ten months. Jack runs straight towards the beach and seems to know exactly where he is going and what to do. Almost as though he has done it before... I think this will be when he has just got back onto the island and is thus ten months or more in the past. So the writers are showing the second return to the island but trying to make us think it is the first time jack has been there. ( Why did Jack seem unfazed when he saw Vincent walking through the jungle and almost act as if he recognised him). Locke can suddenly walk which leads me to believe that the island is back to a time before he had his accident and before Rose had cancer. Hence them thinking they are "cured". Other things that suggest the island has gone back in time are that in the trailer we clearly see a man in a haz-mat suit? Who has worn one of them before (The CIA guy Desmond killed in the past or maybe even radzinsky). The hatch has reformed in the trailer which suggests the island has moved back in time, hence why Farady asks Juliet if there is anything man made that could potentially be used as a constant (something all the members know about). Also, perhaps the reason that mothers who conceive on the island will die is something to do with the island's time line, i.e. how can you have a baby that would theoretically be born BEFORE you (since the island's time is in the past) It kind of makes sense that in one of the trailers where we see john locke dead in the coffin he is dead in the "real world" but alive if he gets back to the island, because in doing so he would be transported back in time... to a time before the event leading to his death would have happened. This kind of justifys why Jack's dad suddenly pops up alive out of his coffin... since he died in the "real world" but when reaching the island he is transported back in time... and so his death actually hasn't happened yet hence why he is all alive and such. You also hear Jack say in the trailer "if I don't go back they'll all die" this is because once he gets back to the island (this is the pilot episode where the writers are trying to make you think its when Jack crashed in the plane on the island for the first time) he has to make sure events run as they would have done... meaning that he has to be there so he can save all the people he did in the crash so they can go on to do the same things they were meant to do in the first place that lead up to the oceanic 6 being rescued. I think it is either that Jack has to go back to the island and play out all the things he would have done to get to the point where the oceanic 6 are rescued or that once he arrives back on the island he and the oceanic 6 will be onlookers watching themselves (their back in time selves) play out everything that happens and they have to alter it so certain things don't happen (like charlie dying etc because when charlie is about to get taken by ethan he shouts I WONT LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN which coud have a double meaning), like Farraday said once before, you can't let your past self see you're present self or you will end up going insane.... so this could be why a lot of the characters hear "whispering" in the woods, as if their real life present selves who have come back in time are around them whispering to each other trying to figure out what they need to do to change the way things are about to happen. I think when claire is in the jungle she hears whispering then walt appears or something, could this be walt from the present day trying to alter wat happened in the past (i.e. claire was going to die that day or something) and he is changing the course of events. I think Jacob is actually locke who was from the present then came back in time to the island, which is why locke appears so frightened of Jacob since he is looking at himself and thinks he's going insane. Although I haven't thought about this much so it doesn't really fit that well, either way, I think it is someone that has come back from the future that would give Locke quite a scare. Maybe this is why Jacob will only see people at certain times and in certain places (ben said you can't just go to Jacob he has to call you) because if they went in search of him it would effectivly change the course of events.

Calling the fashion police!!

If you decide to go with a veil, I would go with something really simple. A sparkly hair flower would look really pretty and go with the vintage look. From that picture alone, I am picturing a single tier floor length/cathedral length to compliment the train. The back is so pretty I wouldn't want to cover it up. I can sympathize with being short. I found that the shorter veils were better. I think mine was elbow maybe? I wore it up high and it came to mid-back. The longer veils tend to visually cut you, making you look even shorter. -
Great question. I think we are going to see an accountant this year and get a comparison to find out what will maximize our return. This is not about filing taxes, more of a rant... So I got a tiny $50 per week raise for the first quarter. I always claim 0. Why from my $50 raise did I only earn an extra $1.37? That is a lot of f-ing tax!

GREAT post Abbie! That is a perfect description that I think I will have to steal and use from now on. Another thing to pay attention to on TA is the date of the post and the profile of the reviewer. Be sure to search the forum for reviews that have taken place at your resort. This is probaly a more realistic comparison and source of information than a review from a couple who got a last minute deal. I also like the "real" pictures feature. My stepmom wrote a positive review of our trip (she had seen a few negtaives before we left) and was browsing the pictures and found some with my dad in the backgroud that had been posted by another user. Some resorts have their own forums/message boards that can be useful as well. -
Don't forget! New episodes start tonight! I'll be expecting lots of new theories up for discussion tomorrow! LOL

If it doesn't sell for the price you want, I think you can return it for store credit since it is still in stock. You could get BM or moms dresses or everyones accessories. The dress I wore to our rehersal was actually a BM dress.

I confess I cannot stop eating chicken nuggests. They aren't exactly nuggets more like bite sized pieces of chicken. They look like Chick-fil-ay but taste better. One of my food purveyors dropped off a sample case and I can't stop. I guess maybe it is because I don't eat fried food but these are oven bakers and really hit the spot. They are kinda spicy and are called Wing Zings. I might be in love.

We sailed past it on our catamaran cruise. It seems to be a pretty casual place and it was PACKED the day we went past. I did have some guests go to eat and hang out and all said it was way over-priced. The same is true for Margaritaville. I went there and it was $30 for a burger and 2 beers.

I am trying to put together my photobooks for everyone and it is proving to be a daunting task! Our photographer was with us for a week (and is a really good friend), my cousin is a photographer, and several of our guests so photography as a hobby. We have over 20 discs of pictures! It's great to have such a selection, but OMG! So, my question is this... Do I make one big giant photobook to chronicle the whole trip? I want to do something with all of those pictures and share them with everyone. Do I do separate albums for each event - wedding week, wedding itself, AHR, and TTD? I worry if I do a bunch of books, no one will look at them and I will have wasted a bunch of money. We have us and 3 sets of parents. I also thought of doing a personalized mini book with the "highlights" for the people in the BP and each family that attended. Would that be weird? Thoughts and advice greatly appreciated! I don't know why I can't make a decision!
