  1. I actually did mine before the wedding since my husband didn't want to do it with me. I'll go check it out and see what kind of shape it is in and make sure my DH is ok with me selling it. He freaked out when I told him I was going to sell my wedding dress, LOL The link to the pictures is in my signature. It was actually a white BM dress from Mori Lee. It's a size 16 and was never altered. I'm a 10-12 in street clothes but am really busty.
  2. There are some bridal companies that offer cap sleeves. Some of them even have snaps so you can take them off after the ceremonies. I think most strapless dresses come with a wrap, at least mine and my BMs did. Otherwise, pashminas are probably the most economical option. Will your BMs and other ladies need to have their heads covered? You might want to ask.
  3. Welcome! Where in Indiana are you from? I'm across the bridge in KY. I would suggest hiring a TA that specializes in DWs and/or knows the area. With e-mail and phone calls, you can get everything handled that way. My TA was local to me and we still did a majority of our communication through e-mail. If you prefer to do it yourself, you might want to look into a wedding planner at your destination to help you out.
  4. Those are great! I think the 3rd one is my favorite, but I also really like the piggy-back one.
  5. The link works for me. You should add pet photography if you have room, Tammy. Roja has SO many great shots!

    Hello Everyone!

Welcome! The forum is a wonderful resource!
  7. Congrats and Welcome! There is tons of info on Sandals. Have fun searching the forum!
  8. I went with dangly earrings and a bracelet. The bodice of my dress was beaded and I had a sparkly hair clip and I didn't want to look over-done. I'm petite with big boobies, so there wasn't a lot of room. I did look at a few necklace options and my best advice is something really simple if you decide to go with one. The girls had pendant necklaces that matched their stud earrings and the cocktail rings we all wore. Of course, I don't have any detailed pictures, but here you go...
  9. It will depend on the individual customs agent if you can bring them back in. You are not supposed to be able to bring live flowers/plants back. I didn't want to chance it so I went with real-touch artificial flowers. How well they hold up will also depend on a number of things *What type of flower are they and how hearty? Roses will last longer than lilies *How long from the wedding day until you return? *Will you have a place to store your flowers - fridge in the room, etc? *How long will you be traveling - number & length of layovers, etc? I had a friend bring her bouquet home from Florida and by the time she got home she had to end up throwing it away, nothing could be saved.
  10. Welcome and Congrats! We love wedding stuff too! Feel free to share any planning tips and pictures. We love pictures! I can't wait to hear how your wedding goes.
  11. Sarah rocks! I love your siggy and the logo! Was the BD shot from one of our girls? I really like the angle.
  12. There is already a thread that I know of that discusses this. There is a lot of advice and some pictures. If I remember correctly, Alyssa had all of her guests wear white. Hope that helps in your search! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33856 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t9556-2 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t18734 You can also search posts by the username, so maybe you can find pictures and advice b those that have already done this.
  13. I found a lot of inspiration at Ua mau ke Ea oka aina i ka pono oh Hawaii : Hawaiian weddings Be sure to check out the blogs too.
  14. I would try an actual fabric store as opposed to a craft store like Michaels. They sell the appliques and stuff for dresses. I would definitely sew it to the dress instead of gluing it. That way it will move with you in the dress. You might see if you can buy the materials and have your seamstress sew it on if you aren't comfortable doing it.
  15. I agree that you should search by color. J crew and White House Black Market are always good places to start. Maybe if you find a dress you like, then you can try and find it on EBay or elsewhere online.
  16. I agree, humans aren't meant to have litters! Dr, Phil was having a field day with this chick all week. I don't know if she was actually on the show or not but he was parading around experts and Kate from J&K+8. She said that post-partum is horrible. When her 6 were infants she said she had 50 volunteers a week to help out with them and around the house. And volunteers wear out too, but they have the option of leaving. This woman's biggest problem is that she likes babies and when the babies are all grown up, she needs a new one. Look at the stair-step in their ages! Thank God she is out of embryos! (I bet the sperm donor is freaking out. I've heard it was her ex-husband) And, if you are going to pimp out your family and ask for money and presents, why not show the other 6 kids instead of just the 8 newborns, KWIM?
  17. Erica! I'm so sorry. I know this was not an easy decision. I commend you for your strength in doing what is best for your family. We're here whenever you need us.
  18. I'm so jealous! jenny your pics are gonna rock! We will need teasers immediately, but then you already knew that!

  20. Welcome! I was a Couples bride and extremely pleased with our wedding. I've heard CSS is beautiful and very romantic. I look forward to trying it out someday! Congrats and Happy Planning!
  21. I have only stayed at CSA. The beach bars did close at some point but the restaurants are open air and the bars are open, so you can still sit there even after your meal. At CSA, the Martini Bar upstairs was open until the disco opened, I think. The billiards room next to the Martini bar is beautiful and so freakin' cold! I've never seen or felt air conditioning like that! CSA also has full size bottles in the mini bar that is re-stocked daily. We were never at a loss for liquor, LOL!
