  1. Here are several threads that might help you. I find that doing an advanced search and using 'titles only' helps to get more accurate results. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29852 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2147 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...om/forum/t8596
  2. Woo Hoo! It will be a fun, busy weekend. At least the BD shoot in the morning will ensure that you get up early and your hair and make up will be done!
  3. look at Mori Lee's Affair's Collection Affair bridesmaid dresses and cocktail dresses from Mori Lee These are all of the dresses that are chiffon and come in black from Davids. DBI You can probably get those in the fastest. Even if a store doesn't have them in stock, they can look up which ones do in the system and ship it to you. Sometimes they don't tell you this.

  5. Hi ladies! We aren't TTC yet but I am becoming more open to the idea, instead of screaming and running in the opposite direction. I just wanted to see what was up and wish you all luck for BFP's!
  6. You two are such a cute couple! And not everyone gets to have a camel in, well any picture. Blue Steel is my favorite.
  7. I can't wait to hear how your day went. I hope it was fantastic!
  8. I think the internet is freaking out again. I thought this was a fluke, but for the 4th time in 2 days I've been getting bizarre error messages when I go to check new posts. It says "This forum reqires you to wait 30 seconds between searches. Please try again in 116 seconds" It is not stopping me from using the forum but thought I would give you a heads up.

I don't want a big group outing to my photo session with my husband! Drown the Gown! That is what they are calling it when Senior girls are doing it with their prom dresses. My mom wasn't thrilled with the idea but I didn't back down. Our compromise was to buy a second dress. I did ask my seamstress and she said that with the lace and beadwork I wouldn't want to trash it, but she said a lot of gowns are fine to even go into your washing machine! I ended up doing my TTD alone because DH wan't excited about it. I can honestly say it was one of my favorite moments from my wedding! If I had done my TTD with my DH, I probably would have wanted my own dress. My TTD dress came out WAAAAYYYY cleaner than my ceremony dress!
  10. Our very own Nicole (username NPHT) makes custom tutus. I know some of the mommies and photographers have purchased her products and loved them. Check out her website: www.lildivadesigns.com I think flower girl tutus are SO cute!
  11. ROR - Riu Ochos Rios, a popular resort in Jamaica. If you do a search, there is a thread with all of the abbreviations defined. If you look in the signature of any moderator (posts should be easy to find) there is a link to threads about how to work the forum.
  12. My WC played the wrong song, so it was 'Another One Bites the Dust'. It was pretty fun and definitely unexpected. People farther down the beach were in hysterics.
  13. I was one of 8 weddings on my day. Apparently June 21st rocks! As the other ladies have said, the resort is in the business of weddings. They won't book more than they can handle. Believe, me they have DWs down to a science. Also, it is still your special day. Be sure to enjoy it and not worry about other people. They probably won't be worrying about you
  14. Stamp Prices Set for Another Hike - WalletPop This is an FYI for future brides who need to send out STD, Invites, and RSVP cards this spring. Changes taking effect May 11: — The price of a first-class stamp will rise 2 cents to 44 cents. — The postcard stamp increases 1-cent to 28 cents. — The first ounce of a large envelope increases 5 cents to 88 cents. — The first ounce of a parcel increases 5 cents to $1.22. — New international postcard and letter prices are, for one ounce, 75 cents to Canada; 79 cents to Mexico; and 98 cents elsewhere. Most Postal Service shipping services prices were adjusted in January and will not change in May. If you do not put a forever rate stamp or the 44 cent stamp on your RSVP cards and the reply date falls after May 11, you may not get responses back. You might want to put your address as the return address.
  15. I used plates from the same company that makes Masterpiece. They were like of aqua (my wedding color) and looked like hammered glass. I used reflections cutlery along with it. Masterpiece is great because it comes in so many sizes and you can get ivory with gold trim or white with silver to match your color pallet. They also have square plates available now in white, black and clear.

  17. Do a search for flowers or bouquets. I know that the ladies have used lots of different vendors. The one that came to mind is www.Hibiscusflorals.com There are some vendors online thru Etsy and E-Bay.
  18. Here is the other Pet Thread. I love it when it gets updated and I can see all of the furbabies! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2868 Your dog looks really sweet!
  19. I would go ahead and send a Thank-You note now. It will be one less you have to do when you get back. Then, You might have some photo cards or something printed after the wedding and send those out people who were unable to attend.
  20. I sent out a huge pre-travel packet with all kinds of info, luggage tags, etc. Our guests found it really helpful and it enabled us to answer last minute questions. We had a really nice webiste, but people didn't follow it or check for updates very often. I'll try to find the link for you. There you go! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t19955
  21. We only have one JoAnn here and it is great so based on that, I would say yes. I have found tht Hobby Lobby has better sales and Hancock's has the best selection, but it is pricey. Overall, I think the cheapest place to buy fabric is WalMart. You might want to try there first, since it just for a dog bed, and see what is available.
  22. That is a great review! I'm so sorry you were disappointed, but like you said, you really can't do anything about the weather! I'm surprised they didn't offer rainy day activities. When were stayed at CSA they had bad weather spa discounts, some up to 50% if you booked when it was raining.
  23. Congrats and Welcome! The forum is a great place to be!
  24. It's plain white satin, strapless, with a pick-up skirt. I have a black, blue, and white ribbon (i think) to tie around the waist, but you could easily pick up a ribbon in your wedding color. The 2-3" double faced satin works best.
