  1. I've done the yoga booty ballet DVD once. It was a good cardio work out. I also like the Carmen Electra Fit to Strip series. Both are good if you have dance experience so you can use better/proper form. I think that Pilates is the best work-out and it really uses the same muscles that you do when you do ballet. It build long, lean muscle instead of making you bulk up. Those would be my best recommendations, but I guess not really appropriate if you are wanting to dance. Do you have a local community center or ballet company that offers adult classes? My BM is trying to talk me into taking one with her!
  2. Michelle, You might want to check out sparkpeople.com I have had great success with the online food diary. It keeps track of your calories, fat, protein, etc. I thought I was doing a good job of self monitoring, but really wasn't. There is also a water intake measurement. There is a workout calculator that totals how many calories were burned during your workout. I need to use that page more than I do! I find that if I have to write everything down, I don't eat what I know I shouldn't. This was a really bad weekend! Saturday I ate out all 3 meals! I'm scared to enter it because I know it was a million calorie day! LOL In 3 weeks I've lost almost 10 pounds, really just by monitoring my foods. Lots of fresh vegetables and low-carb items. I think it was Alyssa that mentioned you need at least 1200 calories to lose weight. I'm in a 1200-1500 range.
  3. It's a beautiful dress! Congrats on both your find and your bargain. I'm sure you feel much better now that you check such a big item off the to do list!
  4. I personally didn't but know a girl who did. They were beautiful and she really liked working with them.
  5. These are just a few from our first session. It was so cold neither of us could smile anymore, so we are going to have to do some others later. The week after Valentines. It's too bad because Mike was just starting to get used to the camera! He said he thinks he took more pictures that day than his whole life! We have been together almost 6 years and I think there are 4 pictures of us together! We went to the track, Churchill Downs, where they run the Kentucky Derby every year. They have done some major renovations and it was beautiful! These are still in "draft stage" We can adjust color, crop, etc.
  6. Welcome! That is so going to be me rocking n the beach with a beer!
  7. #2! not only is is beautiful, you shouldn't have to do as many alterations since it is already tea length!
  8. Whoo Hoo! We are finally getting our engagement pictures made tomorrow. Too bad we've been engaged since March 23! Mike is not a fan of the camera so it's taken awhile to warm up to the idea. Goofball! I really wanted some outside pics but it is freezing here! Cross your fingers that they will turn out good and I promise I'll post some as soon as I get them, hopefully early next week. Better late than never, right?
  9. Welcome! Becks did a great passport invite and there is a Starfish Theme thread as well. The search button will become your new best friend! I am a procrastinator. I bought my dress last weekend and it supposed to be here May 25. I leave for Jamaica on June 16!
  10. Well Cathrine, look on the bright side...At least you won't be one of those brides who paid $$$$ to wear the dress for an hour!
  11. I have freak out moments all the time. I e-mail the coordinator about everything! You can rationalize that while it is your wedding, they are professionals and do this all the time. Some other girl is getting all of her attention right now, just like you will when it's your turn. So that is the rational thought but it is still extrelemy frustrating!
  12. Welcome! Your work is lovely. It's nice to see diversity in your portfolio!
  13. I would love it if it worked that way, of course I would probably weigh 95 pounds. I recommend wine...and a massage! You deserve a treat, you're worth it!
  14. Welcome to the forum! My FH keeps saying we should have run off to Vegas and get married by Elvis! Especially when I have a "bridal breakdown" moment! LOL
  15. Welcome! There's lots to do but it is a lot of fun. The ladies here are great and there are a ton of great ideas! Happy planning!
  16. Check the Couples Message board on their website. I've found lots of useful info on there and lots of the posters include pictures! Everything looks great in a brochure...
  17. We chose SA because it is a little newer and supposedly "more relaxed" than a lot of the other resorts. We just want to hang out and not have a "cruise director" rushing around everywhere! LOL I believe there are more restaurants and excursions, too.

    Headed to Jamaica

Welcome! I'm a Jamaica bride, not an ROR bride, but I'm sure you will find tons of useful info here!
  19. I've heard a lot of stuff on the north and eastern sides of the island are under renovations, the roads included. That's the main reason we're going to Negril. I'm sure if you've already booked COR your pricing would be valid at CN or CSA! PM me if you would like the direct phone # to the wedding director in Florida.
  20. Our colors are Tiffany (aqua) and Turquoise. The dresses aren't in yet so I don't have a pic but will get some together soon!
  21. There's a bunch of starfish stuff from Swarovski Crystal, more in the boutiques than the on-line store but here are a few: Hairpins earrings & necklace
  22. YEAH! Don't you just love getting to check things off the list?!? Her work is fantastic so I'm sure your photos will be too!
  23. I'm a Couples bride! I've been really happy with the service I've received so far. Let me know if you have any questions.
  24. I was going to suggest Target too! They are adorable in person and seem to be well made.
