  1. Mandy that's kinda how I feel about my step mom! She is so controlling! She had the audacity to give me a lecture on how expensive our wedding would be and she needed to attend a family reunion the week before but, "don't worry, we'll scrimp and save so your dad can make it." FI can't stand her! I mainly just ignore her.

    Hello Everyone

Welcome to the forum! There is a ton of great info to be found!
  4. Welcome! I'm sure you'll find lots of useful information here!
  5. Welcome and Happy Planning!
  6. I confess I had a bottle of wine for dinner! Cheers Betsy!
  7. Quote: No big deal to hang out once in a while but I mean every single time theres something going on, he's there. It's all 28-30 year olds and his dad boppin around. I just find that strange. Is it me? Ok, I have a friend whose dad does that. He's a pretty fun guy but there is something strange about being hammered with your BFs 60 year old dad! When FFIL gets drunk he gets super cuddly and giggles like a school girl! It's pretty funny because he's kinda gruff, then he throws back a couple of strawberry daquiries and it's hugs all around!
  8. Good to have you back! We can't wait for details and pictures!
  9. LOL Janet, I used to feel the same way about FI's brothers! Though I think I have gotten used to them now!
  10. I'm totally stealing this thread idea from another forum. So I guess that makes it confession #1. I thought it would be great for us to have a place to admit the things we really don't want to admit anywhere else, but have the compulsion to tell. Remember, we don't judge on BDW! It could be anything...Here are a few hypothetical examples: My FI and I met online and my parents don't know I ate an entire bag of cookies for lunch I drunk dialed my ex-boyfriend over the weekend I cheated at on-line Scrabble I regret naming this person my MOH SO my second confession: I hated my engagement ring at first! It is a solitaire and it is so plain! I've gotten used to it now, but I felt so bad I couldn't tell FI that I wanted to take it back!

    Hello!

Welcome! You'll find lots of info on Jamaica, especially ROR.
  12. This is the bustier I got from Victoria's Secret. It was $70 but I had a coupon and a gift certificate so it was free! I like the coverage and fit, plus the smooth lines don't show and keep me sucked in. I'm a D almost a DD and it fits really well
  13. Welcome Lisa! Be sure to remind your sister she is lucky to have you! Let us know how we can help!
  14. I don't have any but try Japanese Kimono, Chinese Paper Lanterns, Chopsticks, Chinese Dresses for parasols. That's where I got mine and they were great. I think they were $6 each but I posted in the Coupon Code forum a discount of 10% if you order by the end of the month!
  15. So I was talking about the forum the other night and how helpful it was to my mom. She replies, " I'd like to check it out but I feel like I'd be invading your privacy. Like reading your diary or something."
  16. Mike did help me make the STDs. (which I still need to post pictures of...) It was funny though. His quote was "I get to do the fun puchy-out part! I'm not doing any of that ribbon shit or licking envelopes!" Moral of the story--give him something to do with tools! Even if it is a crafty tool!
  17. Welcome to the forum! One of my good friends is Norwegian! It is such a fascinating culture. I would love to visit someday!
  18. Mine don't match perfectly but are the same family I guess. Every company has a different shade of Aqua and turquoise! All of my ribbon is the same becuse I bought a whole spool and most of the paper items are the same shade because I bought them from the same company.
  19. This is tricky. Because DWs are non-traditional, I don't really think there is a set etiquette guide. The Knot says that you should pay for any attendant accomodations if they have to travel, no matter where they come from. This was so not realistic for us and we only have 6. Instead, we are giving them all a "credit", which basically covers the deposits or airfare. It is between $250 and $500 per person, depending on their financial situation. I've done little things like purchase the guy's shirts for them, signed up for coupons at Men's Warehouse where they will get thier suits. I had to buy the dress for one BM who is having tough times right now.
  20. Here is Mike's ring. We got it this weekend at Shane. If any one has a Shane Co. near then, go there! I cannot say enough good things about them! Even with the extra big sizing (he's a 15), taxes, etc. it was only $260!!! I'm still trying to decide between these two. My E-ring is a princess solitaire so we will have it re-mounted. The second picture is the basic design, my would look the same but feature all princess cut diamonds.

  23. I'm wondering if the file is in Access? I don't have that on my home computer, only Excel.
