  1. She could look like his mother, for an oedipal sort of twist. I don't remember ever seeing her face. I am also wondering if Jin could have anything to do with the taped beating. We know he was a hit man for the mob (Sun's dad) so maybe he was gaining info on Whitmore. Everyone on the plane seems to have been there for a reason...
  2. I like Lancome waterproof eyeliner and there's a new Maybelline Define-a-lash that is great. The tube is either hot pick or green. I'm a crier too, so I'm going to use the waterproof liner with fake eyelashes, attached with waterproof glue. This combo got me through St. Patty's day weekend so I'm pretty confident I can make it through the wedding!
  3. Happy St. Patty's Day! I got back from Chicago pretty late last night so I played hookie this morning! No more green beer for me! At least until next year... We went all out for the bachelorette party--matching t-shirts, boas, head-bobbers, a 6 ft blow up leprechaun, etc. I had a shamrock veil and a green bouquet! I'm still waiting on pictures. It was so much fun! Though, some drunk people didn't seem to get that it was a bachelorette party even with all of our regalia. I started telling guys it was my first communion. Thinking about going to a local Irish pub here tonight. I need to have a heart-to-heart with my liver and see if she's ok with that or if I have done enough damage.
  4. Those are great! Where did you get the invites/graphics? Our "theme" has turned out to be a palm tree so those would be perfect for us!
  5. Can you use regular food coloring? You might ask your local florist what they use and see if you can buy some from them (or elsewhere) to take down with you. For my AHR my florist is using that dry pellet stuff that turns into jelly when you add water. I comes in turquoise. That might be a good option so you don't have to worry about a liquid leaking... Like this but blue
  6. Have you tried looking online for ribbon in spools? That is totally the way to go! I bought one 60 yard spool for about a dollar a yard so now everything is getting f*ing ribbon!
  7. Have a great time! We can't wait to read all about it and, of course, see lots of pictures when you return!
  8. I would try and find a Bed and Breakfast or guest house. It would be nice to have an intimate setting. We are getting married on Saturday and leaving on Monday so we really won't have a honeymoon. I think when we get home we might get a cabin on the lake or something else nearby. That way we can visit with our guests and still get some alone time!
  9. If you do decide to close any, do them 1 at a time--no more than 1 per year. That's what I was told. Everytime someone looks at your credit report it goes against you and when you close an account I guess they look up your credit score. (They also do this when they review your interest rates.) The same goes if you are trying to open a new account. You should apply for one card then wait and see what happens, don't apply for 3 in one day and pick which one answers you first
  10. There are a few books at Barnes and Noble (or any other book seller) called "How Well DO You Know Your Groom/Bride". They are fun little trivia questions that each of you fill out to start discussions. Like "Whose relationship does your bride most admire?" or Has your groom ever had a crush on a teacher?" My mom got those for our stockings at Christmas. That might be a fun thing to do at the party! We had a really small family party and I gave out my travel brochures to introduce everyone to our destination and gave luggage tags as favors. The brochures were free from the travel agent.

Welcome Danielle! This will be such a valuable resource for you!
  12. I saw part of an episode and it was pretty funny! Great! Like I need 1 more thing to DVR!
  13. Welcome to the forum!
  14. Welcome to the forum! You'll find lots of great info on here!
  15. WOW!!! Congrats! That's a great reason to drop out!
  16. Super cute! I love them! They will look great on petite frames. Between gold and silver I would go with whatever matches the rest of your color pallet. If you are doing white then silver would look better, if ivory I would go with gold.
  17. I'm doing a pre-travel letter/packet thing., Hopefully I'll have luggage tags to inclue in the envelope. I plan to include a things to pack list, what to expect at the airport, brief history of Jamaica, spa & excursion menu, etc. For the resort I'm going to do a thank you letter, our itenerary, big day time line, photoshare page, and guest contact page where they can write the numbers of the other guests. I'll post the first draft next week.
  18. Thanks! I've been debating about those! Now that there's no shipping....That's usually the selling point for me!
  19. I know you said you know your body but have you thought about doing Atkins or the South Beach diet? It's not exactly healthy, but I did it and dropped 16 pounds in 2 weeks to fit into a dress for a friend's wedding. If that is not an option, try David's bridal or somewhere that has sample dresses.
  20. The Knot Message Boards I just found this great knottie bio devoted to aqua and turquoise. There are some great photos/ideas I thought I'd pass along!
  21. You might try looking for a promotional company in your area, some place that prints t shirts for companies, etc. I know I get my t-shirts for about $6 each and they are Hanes. I have a friend in Morsetown, NJ that might be able to help you out. I'll find his info and PM you.
  22. Welcome! I'm getting married at Couples Swept Away in Negril! Have you chosen a resort yet?

Welcome to the forum! Check out the vendor section and you can view our photographers' websites!
  24. The dresses are Mori Lee and were listed at $129. I got them for $109 because I got them from the same store where I bought my dress. I got them in Tiffany Blue, a beautiful shade of aqua. They are better than I could have imagined. Morgan recommended a site 2008 Prom Dresses - Wedding Dresses - Bridemaids - Mother of the Bride Gowns and they have great prices and I had a 10% coupon so the dress was $104 with no tax and free shipping
