    Just Starting

Welcome! As soon as you chose your destination, everything else will fall into place! I'd say to start come up with a wish list and find a resort that meets those requirements. Do you want an All Inclusive Cost per person/couple Allow children or adults only, etc. There are several great travel agents on the board who could help you out! I wish I had found them before booking with mine. It really helps to have someone familiar with the wedding aspect of your trip!
  3. Welcome and Happy Planning! I'm having a big AHR for 300 a month after my DW. Our guests are thinking of it as a gift grab because so many of them are unable to travel.
  4. Welcome! I'm sure you'll find lots of useful info!
  5. We don't have a song yet, we still "auditioning" them! However when I was researching to write our own ceremony, I was a total mess! I cry when I read our ceremony, but I'm trying to practice so on the big day I won't be a basket case! I'm such a crier anyways that I don't think there's much I can do to stop the waterworks!
  6. Here's some before and after shots... I used a glitter glue for plastic to give me more filler. PS> Photobucket won't let me re-size anything!
  7. The DZs were definitely the most popular house on campus (when I was there). I'm sure some actions were a little questionable and there may have been some questionable reporting.
  8. That is wonderful! I'm thrilled that you were able to get together such a great department! Though it does make me sad that these departments are needed...
  9. I had the best of both worlds, I was the official un-official! Several of my friends went Delta Zeta but we still hung out all the time. I went through Spring Rush and one of the officers told me to save money and just keep hanging out at the house!
  10. I love it! You guys all looked great and so happy! THe colors looked great against the ocean!
  11. so, not a very happy weigh in! I gained! I knew traveling this weekend was bad, but now I've got strep throat and have been in bed for 3 days! The only thing I can eat are saltines and giant slushes from Sonic. I haven't had this much sugar or salt in I don't know how long. I also haven't managed to drag myself any farther than the distance from the couch to the bed! Let's cross our fingers for next week! Why couldn't it have been a stomach flu?
  12. Morgan, depending on how many you need to make, you could look into stamping. That's what I did with my STDs. There are tons of rubber stamps that are the bigger sizes. I think Anna Griffin is the brand I'm thinking of...Try Michaels or JoAnn or HObby Lobby...
  13. Those crack me up! My mom loves peeps, but they are just way to sugary for me!
  14. I used 2, 5, and 7 mm rhinestones. I like the varying size and the tiny ones kinda acted like space fillers! The whole project cost be about $25 and I do have lots of stones left over.
  15. I think I'll be going with paper. It saves time and money and I can add more expensive stuffing! We have to assemble our bags there, so this will make it easier to transport. I did get "real bags" for my BM's though.
  16. Those are great! I'm really impressed! Your guests are going to be so excited when they open them up!
  17. Welcome! I love Key West! There are a few other Key West brides on here too!
  18. Welcome Lisa! I'm sure you'll find lots of useful info!
  19. Ok, so I'm down to about 3 months and need to get moving on invites. I just can't really seem to find ones that I like! Now that I have discovered the joys of DIY, I think that I can make everything! I'm not really feelin' that anymore! I want to get them finished and in the mail! I know I am going to use the 5x7 petal fold cards as jackets and they will go into velum envelopes: Now, I just need to pick an invite! These are the top choices as of right now: I'm liking the second one because of the print on the side, but I will have to cut and re-size them all and put another color backing layer on them. Any thoughts/opinions/other options would be greatly appreciated!
  20. Rachel those were awesome! It puts my Bach party to shame, well that and we didn't have very many cameras! I'm so glad you guys had fun! I hope you sober up by the wedding! I'm guessing there are a few people in the group who hated themselves the next day!

    Newbie!

Welcome! Let us know if you need last minute help!
  22. You could do wax seals with a monogram stamper to close them. I just bought a crap-load of tiny palm tree charms off e-bay I need to figure out how to affix them.
  23. I'm using these fabulous streamer thingys! The best part is that they fit in your hand and stay attached to the little cup for easy clean-up. I wanted it to be super easy to clean! I don't know if our resort has any restrictions, but I don't know how they can argue with these! They are a little pricey at $3 each, but We might just give them to people on the ends of the aisles... The cheapest place I've found them is Wedding Favors and Gifts
  24. It was a great FUN weekend and a HORRIBLE DIET weekend! I drank and ate and drank some more and then I ate some more. I love that in larger cities you can have any kind of ethnic food delivered to you at any time during the wee hours of the morning! Deep dish Chicago Pizza was my favorite! I have no idea how many calories I consumed! I just hope I did enough walking and shaking of the ass on the dance floor to counter act some of it! I think I'm up about 2 pounds (I honestly thought it would be worse) and I feel like I might be getting sick. Who goes to Chicago without a hat, scarf, or gloves? This moron! I have decided I will hire a personal trainer to get me on track and really push me. I'm at about 3 months to go and really need to step it up!
