I think the only way you could save money is by changing the date. That is the peak travel season, so everything is more expensive! If that is the date you want and the resort you want, be prepared to have a smaller guest list.

OMG! I'm so sorry you're having to start over. At least you still have 5 months instead of some other poor bride who only has 5 days! You are handling this very well. You should be able to find another location easily since you have done so much ground-work. I wish you the best!

I've had it and it is good for sweet tea. However, I think I am the only southerner who doesn't drink sweet tea! I'm really picky with tea, so it has to be brewed!

Thanks HEidi! I also found a e-bay seller that will do 24 for $102 including shipping (both of us are within the US). I'm placing the order tonight so I will hopefully get them by next week. I personally am OK with bachelor parties. I know that I am a lot more laid back than most people though. Granted, I don't want him going every night, I'm ok if he does for his bachelor party. We live 8 hrs. away from his family and most of his friends that he grew up with. I think lots of times guys just don't know what else to plan! It's kind of what is expected! I say if that's what he wants to do then go for it. The reality is nothing will happen, other than some girl rubbing her boobies in his face. He can't touch them! Depending on local regulations, he might not even be able to drink at the strip club! I'm looking at it as a don't ask, don't tell situation. I turst that he will come home to me and he will marry me, no matter what happens during a 6 hour time frame. We've been together for 6 years! I feel the same way about my bachelorette, if my friends hire a male stripper (gross!) I'm not going to brag to FI. It will just be something that happened on girls night! I really don't think you have anything to worry about!

My four year old neice, who is actually 14 trapped in a tiny body, is obsessed with Hannah Montana. The other day we were watching TV and she saw this doll and got super excited. So I say, "Ava, you really love Hannah Montana don't you?" To which she replies, "Well E, I pretty much love everything I see on TV." So matter of factly!

My confession for the day... I cannot stop spending money. This probably wouldn't be a big deal if I had money to spend, but that is not the case! I can control myslef with big things, but we eat out all the time, I have a $5 a day starbucks habit, and I cannot walk in the doors of target without spending a minimum of $50! I'm going to start spending more money on a personal trainer to boot-camp my ass into shape before the wedding! I guess I just don't know where the money and time go...

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I think all of us have had to deal with guest/passport issues etc. at some point. It is all part of the DW process! LOL! If it makes you feel any better, people don't RSVP to traditional weddings either! Do you have group travel reserved or are the guests responsible for their own travel? If everyone is responsible for their own, I would say take a deep breath and whoever shows up shows up. I know it sucks that those you hoped would be there aren't, but those who do attend will have a great time. You just need to focus on what you and FI want and your future together. This is all advice I've received (on here and elsewhere)! It's extremely frustrating and there is the logical side of you that knows everything will work out that battles with the emotional side that probably wants to line eveyone you know up and smack them!
