  1. Jenny, you have a great attitude! At least it's one less gift to buy! LOL! I was in a similar situation with a friend. She was really upset I didn't ask her to be a BM but we wanted to keep the BP small. Well now, she doesn't think she can afford to make it to the wedding! Some people will find anything to complain about! You're handling it very well.
  2. WOW! That was a big secret to keep! I'd be so excited if that were my house. You're lucky that it seems to be in good shape so you won't have to do any major fixing up!

    Hello All!

Welcome! You are so close! How are you holding up? If you do a search for thre EDR you'll find some great info. Someone (Ican't remember who) posted a pretty thorough review with pictures.
  4. Welcome! You are so smart to start doing your homework now. I really wish I had found BDW earlier!
  5. I listen to primarily techno when I do my cardio. We have XM and you can record the radio and play it on your MP3! I don't know how it works, that's FI's job! See if you can find some house music or something with a strong beat to keep you going! Latin/Salsa is also a good way to mix things up!
  6. Welcome! There are lots of Texas brides on here!
  7. Welcome to the forum! You've come to the right place for info!
  8. I like the first one because it is so unique and looks really comfy! You'll know your dress when you find it! There are so many out there it is hard to choose!
  9. Those are great! Ironically, I think I have a picture of myself doing all of the funny poses of the bride...grabbing my own boobs, tounge sticking out, using my bosum as a beer holder, etc. But they had a great time!
  10. Welcome to the forum! I hope you find answers to your questions!

    Hello!

Welcome to the forum! I hope one of the Mexico brides can help you out! Maybe try searching the forum for the Esperanza and see what pops up!
  12. Thanks for keeping us posted Abbie! I forgot about the big move but I wondered where she had run off to.
  13. You've come to the right place! I'm sure you'll find all kinds of helpful info.
  14. Yay Jen! All of your hard work is about to pay off! I hope it's better than you imagined! We'll be waiting for reviews and pictures!
  15. Congrats Mo! That is so exciting! You def. need to tell Hubby first then your daughter. I really like the idea of telling your parents by giving them a grandma/grandpa card for Mother's Day or Father's Day, but that might be a while to wait... I would take one more test, just to be sure. As others have said false positives are rare. Congrats again!
  16. I think it's a GREAT idea to write everything down. Style number where to buy and price, pictures & fabric swatches if you have them. I did this in a "newsletter" for the girls and had a great response. The boys were left to their own devices and as of today haven't picked anything out. I would tell your FI you want to have a cocktail party/pizza party/ poker party whatever to get the bridal party together. Hand out the pertinent info there so if anyone has questions they can ask you directly. Have you thought about sending a causal e-mail poll asking when everyone can get together? Maybe FI won't feel like you're going over his head then. You can send it to both Husband and wife and see who responds first.

FYI: You have 1 year from the date of issue to change the name on your passport for free. (AGreat for first timers or those who had to re-new) After that, it counts as a renewal and you have to pay whatever that fee is, and I think you have to get a new picture made.
  18. That is beautiful! I want to do the same thing with my solitaire. How long did it take to have it re-done?

    Newbie here

Welcome to the forum! You should determine a budget and a wish list of ammenities for your resort--All Inclusive, kid-friendly, etc. That is a great first step and will give you a realistic idea of the costs and what you get for your money. Then find a travel agent (TA) who is familiar with weddings to help you! We have several on the forum!
  20. I got it for Christmas but didn't use it very much. I think I was too far along in the process! And I had BDW! It would be helpful to a brand new engaged couple and/or someone unfamiliar with weddings.

Technically you didn't know when you made your invites or you would have the correct postage. Can guests also RSVP through your website or only with the card? Your only other alternative is to redo the outer-envelopes. (if that's what you do you should steam them open so you don't have to re-write & re-stamp them.) You could either inclue an "oops" card with a stamp or go ahead and steam open the inner envelopes. I hate that that is such a time consuming option!

    Birthday

Happy Birthday! I hope the rest of the day is as good as the morning! or better!
  24. When in July is your AHR? You are supposed to mail invites 6-8 weeks ahead of time so you should be ok. My AHR is July 26, so I am mailing my invites no later than May 10. Postage increases on the 12th. **Part of the reason for us having a DW is because so much family is from out of town. Mailing them early will give everyine a chance to make travel arrangements.
