  1. My shower is Saturday! I totally peeked at my registry but don't recall seeing anything odd... Oh well, I'll just have to check again!
  2. You'll be fine Michelle! I've been snappy with FI for months now! LOL! I think it's because so much work and emotional time has been invested in planning the wedding and it's about to come to fruition. I'm wondering what I'll do with myself once the wedding is over! (BDW) It's hard because logical me knows everything will be ok, the wedding & registry needs to be about what we want, etc. But the emotional me kinda freaks out over nothing! I'm at 79 days so it's finally starting to feel real. On the one hand I feel pretty we-prepared but I have this fear that I'm forgetting something major! Try and relax and enjoy your shower for what it is. Remember it's the thought that counts. As far as your FMIL...she can buy everything on your registry or pick something out that is her taste/price range. It's a gift, you shouldn't be expected to do all the work to acquire it!
  3. I saw them when I was checking my registry! I added a pair just to see if I get them. It would be great if they work! My whole house is hardwood or tile!
  4. What a wonderful thing you are doing for Tristan and his family. He really is lucky to have your support. I contributed a little! Unfortunately it wasn't the $100! That person gets a gold star!
  5. How pretty! That bustle is amazing! I'm having a problem finding a seamstress..maybe I should fly down and use yours, LOL!
  6. How pretty! Thanks for sharing. The baby girls looked so precious!
  7. Welcome! This will be a great resource for you! Wow BDW has gone global! LOL

When I clean mmy kitchen it takes 6 hours. I take the fan down and everything! Needless to say, my house is a wreck most of the time! To try and help get into the cleaning spirit I have a tiara I only wear when I'm cleaning. I also will wear high heels, especially new ones, when I clean/vaccuum/dust to break them in (and make me feel pretty!) The UPS man caught me once...prancing in heels and tiara and grubby cleaning clothes. Poor guy the look on his face was priceless! I think he thought I was trying to be sexy, but wasn't. I'm sure he had some kind of "I've never seen a porn start THIS way before" thought. LOL I know...I'm a freak. But at least I accept my craziness!
  9. Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I love the one of you playing the steel drums and sitting on the steps of the gazebo. That is so a pose I would do! LOL
  10. Way to go! I guess that is a good enought reason for you to be missing out on BDW time... We've missed you around here!

Welcome to the forum! Enjoy yout site-visit.
  12. I like the idea of mixing them to incorporate all of you colors. THe variances would also help look more realistic IMHO because real flowers have color variations. I would pick orange, coral, and citrus. They kind of flow into each other...

Welcome! Be sure to check out the Jamaica forum. TA Jennifer is great about posting reviews! She did one of Sandals and Couple in Negril and I believe she is on another trip now. (Lucky!) They really helped me out a lot! Good luck choosing a destination!
  14. Are you talking about the Chivari chairs? They come in silver or gold and kinda look like bamboo-ish? It's a lot to consider. Do you really want to deal with shipping or packing them? If you rent you will most likely have to pay a large sum for international shipping and/or pay extra rental because you are keeping them longer. (Most companies do a 48 hr. rental) If you do decide to rent chair pads, BBJ Linen BBJ Linen has the best selection and highest quality I've ever worked with. That being said they are also the most expensive I have ever worked with. I'd guess you are looking at $10+ per chair pad as a starting rate. I don't really think anyone will notice the 2 different white. It's going to be under their butt or pushed under the table. If you want to add color, consider using chair ties/sashes. Those are much cheaper ($1-3each )and I think I've found a great vendor on e-bay! The picture I really want is on my home computer--there you can see the whole table scape.
  15. That sounds amazing! We have a girls' night get together and play Bunco every month. We go all out with crazy themes, costumes, etc. (that is what happens when you get 12+ elementary teachers and 4 oddballs!) Anyway, next month is Cinco de Bunco (Mayo) so I think I will have to steal your recipe!
  16. Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought! I'm down 3.3 lbs! (Back to the beginning)
  17. Kim, I'm so sorry. I know how painful this is. You are handling it with such grace. Of course I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.
  18. This is what I was thinking but may have to shorten it, depending on the graphics. I kinda like the saying but it is a little cheesy! LOL I really want an elegant invite and I don't know if that keeps with the theme. Side by side we'll be partners in life, under palm trees swaying, we'll become husband and wife. Erin Last Name and Michael Last Name will exchange marriage vows Saturday, June 21, 2008 Negril, Jamaica Please join us in celebration upon our return Saturday, July 26, 2008 7:00 pm Address Louisville, Kentucky
  19. Welcome! We have lots of Jamaica brides!
  20. Wow! Everything looks great! I want to come to your wedding! Those OOT bags are fantastic!
  21. Ann--Did you not get the picture? I was up to 173.1. (That might even be more than when I started). I'll see if I can find the picture for you. FI deleted everything on the card to make room for our trip to Kansas this weekend (his bachelorette and my shower).
  22. I don't drive. I was in a really bad car accident about 7 years ago and never got back behind the wheel. It wasn't as bad as it could have been but I was really banged up! 11 broken bones, severe concussion, cuts and bruises all over my body. I was so scared the one time I did drive I had a panic attack and nearly crashed! I was so afraid I would hurt someone else that I stopped driving all together. It took about 3 months before I could even ride in the front seat again. I know I really need to drive again but I always find a way of justifying why not to. We can't afford another car with payments, gas & insurance, etc. I'm always at work so there's no point. It's more economical and earth friendly to car pool. I can't have a kiddo until I drive so that needs to be my project after the wedding.
  23. So I'm sitting here eating a jalapeno popper--baked not fried (as if it made a big difference). I really should be worried about the weigh in. I lost a few pounds since my gain last week so I'm back to square 1. I plan to do some super cardio later tonight so I'm justifying the poppers. We need to invent something to make BDW exercise powered. I bet we would all be walking around like sticks! We should recruit Morgan. That girl is so handy, she could probably throw something together with a bike pump, a glue stick, a paperclip and an old toaster! LOL!

    Hi!

    welcome to the forum!
  25. Steph--those books are so sweet! I'm an only child so I don't have sisters to make a book for. If I did I would totally steal your idea! LOL Oh, and I did get a little misty eyed!
