How long did it take you to get down the aisle?

LOL! I totally didn't think of that! I need to check with the coordinator to see how long the aisle is and if we should use the same song for the bridal party & me. Thanks for the heads up. I'd also prefer to not look like an idiot! -

Everything is on YouTube! I was trying to find samples of the Jamaican Mento band, when it occured to me to search for weddings at my resort! It was great to see the ceremony sites, set-up, the minister, etc. I thought I'd suggest it, especially those (like myself) who weren't able to do a site visit! **BEWARE** If you search Jamaica weddings, you will find ones from Hedonism, the nudist/swinger/"open" resort. THE TUXEDO MAN THONG IS NOT ATTRACTIVE! Be sure to put your resort name in the search box!

Well, maybe he's ignoring you because he doesn't think of this as the REAL wedding, but a chance to hang out with friends...That's a really crappy excuse, but the best I could come up with! I think sometimes the boys get overwhelmed by all of the details and wedding planning and they just sort of act like idiots, just my opinion!

Welcome to the forum! My experience showed that the fall is usually off-season so rates are cheaper. December can be costly as people travel for the holidays or escape the snow! Good luck in choosing a destination! Once you can mcheck that off your list, everything else falls into place!

Welcome to the forum! I would see what the package price is right now so you can give your guests a ball-park figure. We told our guests to plan about $2000 per person for a luxury, all-inclusive resort. We have an 8 day package for $2100 and a 5 day package for $1500 offered to stay within the guidelines.

That's great Carly! I'm sure that the business owner appreciates it too! People are more apt to complain than praise. I'm sorry you're having trouble with your resort, the pashmina guy, etc. I had a lot of crap go down, but have decided I would rather have it happen now, than at the wedding or during our marriage! -
If you do a search for invitation wording or AHR (At home reception) you'll find tons of info on this. My invites say we will be married, date, Jamaica Please join us in celebration upon our return, date, time, location... We will have RSVP postcards and a card to direct people to our website to view photos, accommodations, etc.
