  1. Yay Steph! Next time you sign in you'll be a MRS! I hope your day goes even better than you imagined. I'll say a prayer to the weather gods that it doesn't rain! You know the rules, you can't come back without pictures!
  2. I think the second one is probably more of what you wanted. I think they look great! Everything will be SO beautiful and you will have such a great time. Try not to worry about the little things. If the wrong bouquet (that is still beautiful) is the worst thing that happens, I'd say you'll be just fine!
  3. He's making a statement, Sarah. I blame it on the MTV...
  4. I love them! THe color is great and you sure can't beat the price! That dress can easily be worn again!
  5. Sarah! You poor thing! I'd say you are holding up well. I'm so glad your sister and her husband are ok. I'm sure this was terrifying for the whole family. Have they given her a recovery timeline? My dad only fractured his pelvis and was out for about 3 months. Will your sister be able to stay with you or your parents to be taken care of? She can't move to Alaska like this!
  6. We just got #3! How many raccoons do you think can live in the walls and eaves of a 2100 square foot home? It makes me think of that old movie, "With Six you get Eggroll" I need to change my title to "Raccoon Catcher"
  7. Everything looks great! It looks like you're ready to go!
  8. Those are great! Did you make them yourself or order them? Your guests will be so excited to receive them!
  9. Do a search for programs to see some ideas and templates. Mine are just going to have the order of the ceremony, names of the songs, author and title of the reading, and the names of the bridal party. I'm guessing people will probably use them as fans!
  10. We'll miss you Melissa! You should pop in just to give us random updates! Good luck! You know where to find us!
  11. The arch/chuppa thing I really want is going to be $800 so it's back to the drawing board! I did find these great colored aisle runner though for $40 which is a much better price! I found 2 fabulous websites that carry these and various other wedding things: Savvy Sneaks Custom Wedding Shoes | Bridal Shoes | Bridesmaid Shoes | Flower Girl Shoes Wedding Shoes and Wedding Cake Toppers at Bridal People
  12. No ferret, but I did think about naming the raccoons. I'm afraid I'm getting too attached!

Welcome and Happy Planning! You'll find lots of info on both Jamaica and the Riu!
  14. My OOT bags have taken on a life of their own and become an obsession. I have got to STOP buying crap for them, no matter how cute/practical/stupid! I think (hope) I can fit it all into one suitcase! I obviously am not Ansel Adams! http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1055.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1056.jpg I decided to use the disposable bags because of the price, ease of transport, light weight, and disposability. (Is that even a word? It is now!) Each bag includes: GUM PASHMINA for the ladies GOLF BALLS for the gents FOLDERS HAIR CLIPS & PONYTAIL HOLDERS LIP BALM GLASS WIPES SUNSCREEN & LOTION NAIL CARE - Polish Remover Wipes & File SHOUT WIPES CANDLE & MONOGRAMMED MATCHES FIRST AID KITS with ADVIL, ROLAIDS, IMMODIUM HAND SANITIZER OFF WIPES POST CARDS & PEN CAMERA CONDOMS for the singles (primarily as a joke, but we've all seen Cocktail and things happen in Jamaica!) SHOE POLISH/BUFFER for the gents The big folder is for all of the documents so they don't get lost: the Welcome Letter, Day of Timeline, and a sheet with each guests name with space to write a room/phone number so they can easily contact one another. I figure they can use it on the way home to hold all their travel crap too. The pashminas are not pictured because they haven't come in yet. I'm also going to do a love song CD since all of the rooms have CD players and everyone needs a good "get-it-on" mix! I'm still considering beer coozies and these fantastic palm tree bottle opener key chains. I'm going to assemble there, so everything is out of it's packaging and in Ziploc baggies. So far I'm up to $20 per bag, but that includes the bag, tissue, labels, etc. The number is a little off too, because I started purchasing with 24 bags in mind, but I only need 18.
  15. I'll be your myspace friend. I refused for a long time as well but finally caved. I agree that facebook is SOOO much better. It is a lot more private and you can play scrabble with your buddies! OK, I'm a huge dork! BUt, I'm ok with it!
  16. Here's the dresses! I could not be happier with them. They are Mori Lee from the Affairs Collection. These are pictures from the website, but the color is WAY off! We ordered Tiffany Blue and the color is just that. A beautiful Light Aqua. The two strapless dresses were purchased at the bridal boutique where I got my dress for $120. The other for my MOH was purchased on-line from www.TJFormals.com, as recommended by Morgan for $104 including shipping. MOH: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...iffanyblue.jpg BMs: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...ridesmaids.jpg Their dresses are the Tiffany color with matching sash. Jewelry, which will be a gift, are sterling silver with cubic zirconia stones in "Caribbean Mist". How perfect! I also bought us all matching right hand rings! They were on sale after Christmas from Dillards at $20 per item, the ring and the boxed set of studs and necklace. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1063.jpg I wish I had a better picture. The cocktail ring is set in pave diamonds and it rocks! We haven't decided on shoes. I found these great flip flops at Value City for $5.99!!! They are hand beaded with sequins and rhinestones. the retail/regular price on them was $40! If they decide to go with something different, they will just go in their OOT bags. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1052.jpg
  17. In efforts to save money I decided to bling-out my cake topper myself. I purchased it for 7.99 + 4.60 shipping = $12 for a 4.5" mirror finish acrylic initial from FactoryDirectWedding on E-bay. Super happy with the product and they had lightning fast shipping! Seriously it was 2 days from the time I paid and when it arrived at my house, with No rush shipping. I bought my crystals at Hobby Lobby, much better pricing and quality than the ones I bought at Michaels. Unfortuantely I lost the receipt so I couldn't take them back. 3 packs x 3 = $9 with lots left over. I feel another project coming on! I also used turquoise glitter glue that works for plastic and acts as a good filler. All in all it was just under $25. Here's my how to: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t17538 Here it is with my omega ribbon for the cake: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1068.jpg This is my inspiration cake, so hopefully it will look like my "vision" LOL. I will probably order the flowers when I get there unless I can get a price from the WC to see if it is cheaper to get real-touch fakies. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...ynn2/cake6.jpg
  18. Sorry you had vendor trouble. I hope it all works out. Can you dispute the charges if they won't fix it?
  19. That is my inspiration wedding! I have that episode saved on my DVR. I'm trying to get the same look on a much smaller budget.
  20. You can also browse the coupon code thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t6722
  21. You girls are show-offs! LOL It's Kentucky Derby weekend! I'm so excited! I'll be working but one of my clients has a horse in the Derby! I'll wait until the out-of-towners leave before headding to the track myself.

  23. I kinda forgot about it until I happend to pass by one. The line was wrapped around the building and into the parking lot. I don't know that anything is worth waiting in line like that!
  24. I love them! We are AHR date twins! I have the same sand dollar stamp from Michaels.
