    Meet Zora

So cute! Weren't you saying you weren't sure about taking anymore babies...LOL I could never say no to that face! Thanks for sharing the pics!
  3. There is no end to the BM drama in sight apparently. This Saturday was my family shower. We only invited about 15, expecting it to be really small. Only 8 showed up. My Aunt was a little disappointed, but I had fun and we had a good visit. Guess who didn't show? That's right, both of my bridesmaids! MOH didn't know she had to go out to lunch with her mom for Mother's Day. I think she could have at least stopped by, but whatever. The other BM who hasn't paid for her trip and is completely avoiding me also didn't show up. Then, step mother and half sister didn't come either. I know that my step mom is a freak and gets totally weird around my mom, but I still think she should have showed. I mean it is a shower! It's not like I'm asking them to move in together! All any of them had to do was take an hour out of their day and eat some f-ing cake! Then, for my Big shower (Please note that I really didn't want a shower and I'm ending up with 5!) my friends never asked me what date worked for me and just sent the invites out! My FMIL calls me freaking out that the date they picked was when we will be in Kansas City for FI's brothers wedding! I know that I have been perfectly clear with all of my friends that their wedding was Memorial Day Weekend, but I guess no one hears the words that come out of my mouth! AHHHHH! I'm am so frustrated! I appreciate the thoughts and gestures, but don't get mad at me when you don't consult me on plans and they don't work with my schedule! If nothing else, I'm a caterer, most of my weekends are booked! I even turned down a party on the 31st, the day I thought the shower was, so they could host my party that day. I'm a little bitter at the moment and have decided that people in general are just stupid!
  4. Welcome! It's never too early to start planning or at least doing your reseach. Have fun searching the forum!
  5. Stay away from the Great Wall of Chocolate! LOL
  6. Those are HOT HOT HOT! Your FI will love them! I'm sure the others are as great as the ones posted!
  7. ***UPDATE*** One BM who is the Maid of Honor (I also have a Matron of Honor that I have had no problems with) is going. She put $1000 on a credit card and is supposedly going to pay us back the rest. The other BM (cousin of MOH) still has not returned a phone call from myself or my mom! It's been nearly 3 weeks! So I told MOH that I had to talk to her ASAP to get this figured out. I told her that I wasn't mad (lie) but that I need an answer one way or another. If she doesn't go, she can still wear the dress to my AHR. If I am going to have to pay for someone to go, I'll be sure it is a member of MY family, one of my aunts, etc. who I know will appreciate it.
  8. I agree with the above. I think your guests need to have a piece of paper in their hands to tell them about the wedding. You can certainly include your website and even direct them to RSVP that way. I also send out periodic e-mail updates to tell guests to check out the website for updated info, added photos, etc.
  9. They are both absolutely beautiful and you look stunning in them! I personally would choose the second gown. I love the button detailing on the back. I think it looks elegant.
  10. I'm sorry for you loss. Even if it is expected it doesn't make it easier. Maybe you can look at it like she was give peace and rest for Mother's Day.
  11. I'd love to see pictures. I'm glad she was able to have the wedding she wanted and that reflected her personal style. I cannot imagine putting up with 28 attendants in the "house party" ! WTF! I'm having enough trouble with my 2 bridesmaids!
  12. I love the names. They are all very classic. I'm all for uniqueness but I also hate to see kids get teased or have to correct people all of the time. I love Ainsleigh too, Christine! I think it is the perfect combination of unique and classic! Good Choice!
  13. You'll be fine with fish from a supermarket. If you use sea bass or snapper you may have to go to a fish monger just for selection as not all grocery stores carry it - they are both pretty expensive fishes. You can substitute Halibut, Grouper, Orange Roughy, or Tuna. The technique also works with shellfish like shrimp and scallops. You want to look for firm flesh with no dark spots if you are buying fresh. If you can, smell the fish. You want it to smell salty & oceany - not tangy. If you buy frozen, freshness won't be a problem. To thaw, keep it in your fridge or under cool running water. NEVER thaw anything on a counter! Hope that helps!
  14. All of the PPs are right. It really isn't that big of a deal. He will love you and be wowed in whatever you are wearing. If he is so caught up in your dress he walks away from the alter, I think you have an actual problem. LOL I only kid because I have the same fears. My FI doesn't like sparkly things but I do. While my dress is a simple classic style, it does have some blingy beadwork! However I feel beautiful in my dress. I didn't get the WOW feeling until I picked it up this morning and put it on with all of my accessories. I think me feeling good will translate into how I smile and carry myself. WHen you have doubts, remember it is about the commitment you are making to one another not what either of you are wearing. Knowing my FI, 2 weeks after the wedding if I asked him to describe the dress if I get white and strapless, I'll be good! LOL
  15. I agree with everyone above. If you use common sense, you will be fine. I have traveled quite a bit and know not to go off alone at night in a shady part of town. The resorts are all very secure as are the tourist areas. As a precaution, always have a buddy and don't flaunt your wealth or carry large amounts of cash. I would give these same tips to anyone traveling.

Welcome to the forum! Have you talked with a travel agent yet to help you find a resort? There are several on the forum who might be able to help! Good luck and happy planning!
  17. Yeah Lizz! I was just thinking about you! I'm so excited! I know exactly what you mean about the time, how it can drag and fly at the same time. At least your flight is at a decent time and you don't have to be at the airport at 4am! You wedding will be beautiful! I'll be waiting for a review and pictures!
  18. I hate my tummy. It hasn't been flat since I was 12! I was chubby throughout highschool, then lost about 45 pounds my first year of college. Even then, I still had a tummy roll! I was a size 2 with flab! How is that possible? I also have saddle bags but those are totally genetic. I did manage to get them down a little but that was back during my psycho work out days. It's always the first thing to come back! I found that pilates helped with both, I just never could stick to the schedule!

  22. It took me about 45 seconds, but my work internet has been stupid lately. I'll try when I get home.
