  1. Well........ I just don't know what to say about that! LOL I would have probably killed him if it were my husband despite how flattering it is I guess.
  2. Tami your pics are great! The look on Tom's face when he first saw you brought tears to my eyes! I'm so happy for you! Have a great time at your AHR. We'll need pics of that too!
  3. Meg! You looked STUNNING! I'm so glad you were able to relax and enjoy the wedding. You photog did an amazing job.
  4. Very cute. I found some great wine stoppers, I just don't know if they are in the budget!
  5. Oh no Jen! I've broken ribs before and it is not fun. I hope you're OK. Don't worry about the yelling, you are in NY after all...I probably would have done the same exact thing!
  6. I think I am going to do these. You can punch the holes out but leave them flat, and assemble when you get there. It will add some pizazz to the chairs and all you need to assemble is some ribbon, tape and scissors!
  7. Quote: Now...I just need to find a use for the paper LOL But I'm still excited! FI thought I bought the paper that way!! Sorry the pics aren't great Have you thought about making petal or confetti cones? The guests throw them at you as you walk down the aisle, it's an alternative to rice or bubbles. Alyee form the knot has a template on her page. They are super easy. I'll post a pic when I find one.
  8. Congrats to you both! I hope your day is even better than you imagined! I can't wait for pics and details!
  9. Those are beautiful! I just picked up my TTD dress today! I'm so excited to do it! FI, not so much. I hope after he sees your pics and some of the others, he will warm up to the idea.
  10. So, I had the brilliant idea to "personalize" my wedding by dyeing my slip. Yeah, not my best idea ever. I started by doing finding directions on how to dye things on the Rit Dye website. Sounds like the right thing to do , right? Well, when I went to the craft store, they didn't have aqua dye. I'm imagining thing beautiful pastel shade that will match all of my other wedding stuff. The website had a "recipe" for aqua. Let me tell you, if this is ANYONE's idea of aqua, they are f-ing crazy! I even started with half the suggested dye amount, figuring if it was too light, I could add more and achieve the desired shade. Sounds good, right? Well, I end up with this awful shade of dirty, dingy teal. So I decide to try another color to try and get it closer to turquoise, our accent color. Here is my blue washer: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1074.jpg Now, as I'm dyeing this slip, I have to keep pulling it out and repositioning it so I don't end up with a tye-dyed slip. Now, a normal thinking person would wear gloves. Not this girl! I managed to end up looking kinda like a smurf. Too bad I didn't take pictures of that! The slip ended up with 3 different colors, depending on the fabric of each piece. The slip is nylon, the zipper cotton, and the tag is something else: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1076.jpg To try to make a bad situation better, I tried to use the color remover to lighten the thing. I guess it is better now, but nowhere close to my original vision. In natural lighting it looks pretty good. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1078.jpg However, when it is under the dress, it still has that dirty teal look to it. IF you choose to dye your slip, contact me first. I learned the hard way! My first tip would be to only dye your slip a color that is actually made...red, purple, hunter green, etc. Don't try mixing your own. Test the color first on an old t-shirt, towel, etc. before gambling with your new $60+ slip. Wear rubber gloves! If you can use a front loading washer, I think the color will be more even and you won't have to do the take it out and un-twist job, hopefully saving you from dyeing your self. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t21286
  11. The palm tree was difficult to get out of the cardstock. At one point I was putting the paper on the floor and standing on it to get the punch to work. On about the last 5, I ran out of cardstock and had to use the metallic text weight paper. This is still heavier than regular paper and was SOOO much easier!
  12. Rachel! You are a GENUIS! That is indeed a great theory! I wonder if they will do that or if it would be too much like an Izzy/Denny thing? As long as Meredith and Derek get back together, I really don't care.
  13. Ashley, I donated a few points so you can open the document now. If it is something you feel you will use often, save it to your hard drive. Otherwise you are charged the 50 points everytime it is opened.
  14. I would suggest if you do wear something in the other holes, it needs to be tiny so it doesn't detract any attention from the chandelier earrings or have to much going on in one area (around your face)
  15. He's got a bunch of tats. There is some theory out there about all of them. I saw the one on his neck last night and didn't remember it being there... I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS TO SEE HOW IT ENDS!!!! Talk about a cliffhanger! So, now there is some sort of conspiracy to cover up how they were rescued. I wonder who is behind it? In the press conference they said there were 8 survivors of the crash, so I wonder who the other 2 were that got off and what happened to them. I'm off to search for theories!
  16. What's your theory Rachel? This was another great episode. They were really building up the drama for next week's finale! I love how sweet George is with the baby. I'm hoping that Meredith's breakthrough will pave the way for a reunion with Derek. I was pretty pissed when he walked out holding Rose's hand. And WTF was that kid trapped under in the preview for next week? I almost looked like cement, but he was burned?
  17. Morgan, those are all really cute. I think I like #2 best, but then again it looks very similar to mine...LOL
  18. Michaels and Hobby Lobby have them and you can usually catch a 50% off sale. I think you would have to buy a few and check them out to see if they float.
  19. Welcome and Congrats! Have fun searching the forum! You will find all kinds of helpful info.
  20. Congrats! I hope ou have a wonderful time!
  21. Mine are Mori Lee from the Affairs collection. They are a simple strapless, tea-length chiffon. I LOVE them! They were very reasonably priced, $120 each. I have pictures in my planning blog or you can see them on the website: Affair bridesmaid dresses and cocktail dresses from Mori Lee
  22. I am keeping all BM bouquets the same size and color. I think I might add a floral pick like the starfish or a monogram or something to jazz up the MOH bouquet.
  23. With some of the minor editing they will be perfect! You are a great friend to be doing this even though you're far away. I can't even get my BMs in the same city to come to the wedding muchless help with anything else! LOL
  24. Sounds interesting, like Biggest Loser without the cheesy drama. I hope we can see it in the US!
