    Newbie:

The forum has without a doubt been my greatest planning resource. I will warn you now, it is also my biggest addiction! Congrats and Happy Planning!
  2. Meg, You might also try your local Craig's List to get rid of them. Then you wouldn't have to deal with packing or shipping.

    So excited!

Congrats on your engagement! I'd love to hear about some DIY projects!
  4. I was trying to think of a cute or meaningful saying to put with each of them with directions on how to fill them. Yes, I am assuming that my guests are idiots. The only thing that pops into my head when I think about sand is, " Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives" LOL!
  5. I got them off e-bay super cheap. I think it was $11 for the lot of 20 including shipping. The bottles are about 3" in tall and have really nice corks. If you want the seller's name, I'll look for it and Pm or post it for you.
  6. I just tried it and got no results. I did get Get more results with fewer keywords: * 130 items found for lying cheating bitch whore * 145 items found for lying cheating bitch whore * 443 items found for lying cheating bitch whore * 845 items found for lying cheating bitch whore
  7. Here are the pics of the aqua: I was impressed with the quality for the price. They are super silky and soft. They are thin, but that is exactly what I wanted for the beach. I love that they all come packaged flat. I'm using them to kind of "pad" my suitcase and will roll them and stuff them in the OOT Bags when I get there. I have no idea of the actual dimensions, but I would guess 5x3?
  8. Congrats you guys! I hope this is a truly magical day for you both! Carly you worked so hard, I'm sure it will be perfect! Be sure to have lots of pictures when you return!
  9. I think if you can find a color that is already packaged, ie purple, fuschia, etc. you will be fine. It doesn't look that bad, it just doesn't match the picture I had in my head. The second batch of dye I used, the "vivid turquoise" was a really pretty color and had I started with that, I would have been fine.
  10. Isn't that the truth! I'm sure all of the moms can relate to this!
  11. I bought some little favor things, now I don't know what to do with them: They are little tiny bottles to bring home sand. This is something I have done since I was little. Now, I don't know how to distribute them. I only have 20 and we have 30 guests, but I figure one per couple will be plenty. I'm afraid if I put them in the OOT bags they won't be used. I don't have enough of them to put at each place setting. If I just put them in a basket I don't know if people would see them or where/when to put out the basket. After the work of putting on the ribbons and labels, etc. these people are taking some damn sand home!
  12. I wonder how many people saw it before e-bay removed the listing? I personally have never searched for a lying, cheating, bitch, whore.
  13. The forum is a lifesaver! It is also very addictive! Have fun searching the forum!
  14. Welcome back! It sucks you have to go straight back to work. I'm not looking forward to it! I'm glad you had such a great trip. We need pictures and details ASAP!
  15. I am so sorry! I've decided that weddings make you realize how stupid, inconsiderate, and self-centered your friends and family are. I wonder if this happens so you realize how great it is that you are about to start a life with a normal person and get the hell away from them? Sorry for my own rant! If it makes you feel any better, we have all been there.
  16. Congrats! That is really something to be proud of!
  17. Here are our rings! I'm so love with both of them. I desperately need a new camera! I couldn't get a good shot of either of them. My diamonds are too sparkly and with the flash, blur the photo! That sounds like a really bitchy problem to have! Here they are together. My ring is really unique. The wedding band actually slides into the e-ring mounting and locks in. So, I have my solitaire surrounded by 3 rows of diamonds. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1106.jpg Here is a really crappy picture of it put together. I can't wait for the pro pics from the wedding. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1111.jpg Here is my ceremony jewelry: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1083.jpg Both are from Dillards. I guess with it being prom season, they had all of their costume jewelry half off. The earrings and the bracelet came to $35 with tax and everything! FI loves necklaces, so I guess I need to find something simple to wear. I am normally not a big accessory person and tend to feel over-done. I guess the search will be on for a solitaire pendant or something. Here are my shoes, the flip flops for the beach and the others for the reception/AHR. Knowing me I'll be back in the flops by the end of the night, but I love me some high heels! http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...2/100_1081.jpg The flops are from Victoria's Secret and were $20 with a coupon and free shipping. The heels are "Flashy" by touchups and I got them off e-bay for $15. They retail for $85. The best part was the seller lived in Louisville, so I was able to pick them up and avoid shipping charges!
  18. I have been reading this every day so I can "de-sensitize" myself to it. I'm a crier anyway and this gets me every time!

    Cake Knife

That is SO sweet! I think that sounds like a wonderful way to include you something old as well as start a new tradition!
  20. There are good ideas and there are some not so good ideas... So, these are a couple of my inspiration pics: It was much easier said than done. Of course, now that it is all said in done, I find this article on how to do it. eBay Guides - How To Dye Your Wedding Slip, Petticoat or Crinoline In my defense, I did follow the directions on the Rit Dye website. The Hobby Lobby didn't have any aqua dye, but the website did have a recipe for aqua. In my head my slip would turn a lovely shade of pale aqua. Not so much! Whoever developed it so called recipe was smoking some BAD crack! It wasn't aqua, it wasn't blue, it was dirty teal! So after the first dyeing round, I hated the color. I found "vivid turquoise" from another company and re-dyed it. It was better but still not what I wanted. I finally put a color kicker/remover on it with a little better result. I have learned from my mistakes and if anyone wishes to dye her slip I can definitely help you out. My first tip would be to only dye in an available color, don't attempt this mixing your own crap. I'd also start with a smaller quantity of dye and if it is not dark/bold enough, re-dye and add more. The gory details and pics are in my blog. At this point I'm sticking with what I've got and just going with it! Thank goodness not many people will see it!
  21. My dress got in last week. I ordered the size I needed when I purchased it and now it is too big! (I'm not complaining!) Another store in their company had it 2 sizes smaller that is snug, but fits well. I probably saved over $100 in alterations by being able to exchange it. I love my dress! In person it makes my waist look SO tiny! Please ignore that I just got off work, am not wearing my contacts or a spot of make-up, and in general look like hell. My mom in control of the camera does not help!
  22. I'm putting mine in a plastic folder. I figure those who are organized could use it to put their travel documents in on the way home. We'll see how that works. There are pics of my partial OOT Bags in my Blog. I got them 3/$1.00 at Big Lots
