  1. You will find all kinds of helpful info here! I'd suggest simply searching the forum first and then ask questions. The forum is quite addcitive!
  2. I should have a pic of mine within the next few days. I'm just waitingon the postman to deliver them! We will have to send ours out before we get married so ours were worded: Side by side we'll be partners in life, Beneath palm trees swaying, we'll become man and wife Erin (full name) & Mike (full name) will be joined in marriage June 21, 2008 Negril, Jamaica Please join us in celebration upon our return Saturday July 26, 2008 Location Louisville Ky
  3. I'm really sorry you are going though this. At least both of you are level headded enough to know that this behavior isn't right, but not worth throwing your entire friendship away over. I'm also glad that FI is ok. Cars are replacable, good guys, not so much... We're here whenever you need to vent. Most of us have been in at least one of your current situations. The most important thing to remember is that this about you and your FI. This really is your day (week) and you need to focus on what makes the two of you happy! Big Hugs!
  4. Danielle, those look great! You can really see all of the detail and hard work you and FI put in! Great Job! Your guests will be so excited to receive them!
  5. You usually have to buy postage at the resort, don't go wandering off in search of a post office. I believe the stamps are about $.75 each and the mail takes between 1 and 3 weeks to get delivered to you. I agree that I like the idea of sending them from Jamaica, but then people will not have experienced all of the wedding activites, viewed their pictures, etc. Also, the US postal system is probably a little more reliable than the Jamaican.
  6. Those are super HOT!!!! I love them! I hope they are comfy! If not, you need to get your feet drunk first! LOL
  7. Abbie! I LOVE them! We have similar taste, just wait til I post mine! Did you print your photoshare cards on business cards or postcards?
  8. I agree to keep quite for a while. And tell FI to keep you out of it! If you do have concrete proof, say Bob brings a girl to dinner with you and FI, you should tell. You never know though, if they each have such strong personalities, maybe they have some sort of arrangement...I also agree with Rachel that Bob may just be acting macho. I've seen this especially in younger guys or those kinda going through the quarter-life crisis. Maybe Bob is happy, but this isn't the life he had planned so being a ladies man will make him cool? You might want to talk to Beth in general about her marriage, even under the guise of asking for advice. I have a friend who had a second baby to save her marriage and that was a disaster! Rachel I love the new avatar pic! The dark brown is quite sassy!
  9. Congrats! You looked so Beautiful!!!! I can't wait for more details and pictures!
  10. I am really sorry about your MOH. People just kind a suck! I too have have a BM back out this week. We leave in 3 weeks. I think we need little "My MOH/BM backed out" badges like the Biggest Loser badges! Be strong and you'll get through it!
  11. Marsha, thanks for such a thourough review! I'm glad you had a good experience with Couples! I'm getting married there in about 3 weeks and was worried that it might be boring, but I'm glad to know there is plenty to do!
  12. Great pictures! I think your friend did a great job for her first wedding shoot! I love your altar, too!
  13. I like them all! I love the jeweled clasp! I think that is a very elegant touch! Is there any way you can try the shoes on before you buy them? They need to be pretty comfy is you are going to wear them all night! I would also recommend a wider heel, compared to a stilhetto, if you are going to be in the grass. The spiky heels tend to sink and get dirty.
  14. Those are really sexy! You could even wear them if you decided to have BD pics taken!
  15. This season of BDW-BL2 has not been great for me. I have been up and down like a freakin' rollercoaster! And, I've been so busy with work and stress with the upcoming wedding I feel like I'm being pulled in a million directions! This past weekend was the holiday and FBIL's wedding and I pigged out the whole time! I think I may have to bow out of the competition, at least until I get back from Jamaica. I'm pretty far behind on planning, I've got 900 ppl to feed everyday next week, and the week after, I have to move my entire office and 4000 ft. sq. commercial kitchen to a new location. Maybe hauling equipment can count as cardio! I feel like such a slacker! I've been weighing myself but haven't even had time, when I am in the same place as the camera or correct computer, where I can send them to Ann! I wish all of you ladies luck and I promise I will keep trying, I just really feel like I'm not doing my part for myself or the group. I'm guessing my BDW time will have to be limited the next few weeks, but I'll keep checking in!
  16. Carly! Everything looks beautiful! The BM dresses were perfect! I can't wait to hear more details. Congrats to you and Matt!
  17. I think it is a beautiful dress. If you feel good in it, it will translate into every other area of your wedding. You will be smiling in all of the pictures, not tugging at straps, etc. The thing to remind yourself is that there really are no rules or traditions for destination weddings. I will say (based on my own opinions only) that most of us chose DWs because we wanted something that was more relaxes and personal than the "big white wedding". I think #1 priority should be doing what is best for you and your FI, no one else. Are you worried your FI won't like the dress? Can you casually ask him how he feels about a "non-traditional, colored gown"? I think you can make it look very "bridal" with a bouquet of white flowers, a pretty hair flower or sparkly clip, and some jeweled shoes.

    NOOB! hehe.

Welcome! The forum will be a wonderful resource for you!
  19. They look great Becky! I think I started the palm tree punch thing...No, yours was not defective, the punch just doesn't like cardstock. At one point I was placing them on the floor and stepping on the thing to get the punch to go through! Those are much more detailed than mine. I love that you put the cut out on the outer envelope. I just have a stack of them sitting around waiting for a DIY project to come along!
  20. He is precious! I just want to squeeze him!
  21. Your pictures are beautiful! Congratualtions! Thanks for the review!
  22. Congrats Michelle! I hope your day is amazing! I can't wait for details and pictures!
  23. There's not much you can do, just sort of tough it out. You can buy a splint thingy at most drug stores that will keep the ligament stretched while you sleep. If you know you are going to be doing heavy activity, you can also tape/wrap your foot to give you some more stability. There is the old heat and ice routine to ease the muscle and reduce swelling. You could also check into some orthodic insoles to be sure you have enough arch support. I would check with your doctor to be sure it isn't a bigger problem (bone spur, stress fracture, etc) and see what the recommended treatment is. I have all kinds of problems with my right foot, it was crushed in a car accident and I broke 7 bones. I'm looking into a new product called YogaToes that is supposed to help stretch, exercise, and re-align your foot. I'll let you know how they work!
  24. Jackie, I hope your day is even more wonderful than you have imagined! You and Tammy are going to have so much fun! We'll be waiting for details and pictures!
