I'll give up my food, I just hate that you can't bring your own on without spending another $15! We were in the Kansas City airport this weekend. It is long ans skinny, so all of the food is on one side, with security right in front of your gate. There is not an option for purchasing food in the "secured area" with the exception of vending machine junk. I paid $7 for my Starbucks and couldn't even drink it all! In most of the small airports the selection in the "secured area" is terrible and outrageously priced. FI's personal pepperoni pizza from California Pizza Kitchen in St. Louis was $11.99!

Don't tell Drea, but I know what I'm going to get her for Secret Santa Exchange! Ferret Christmas Songs! Who doesn't love "Up on the Countertop" or "Pouffy Tales"? Don't worry girls, all of "da club" members will get them too!

Those are beautiful and unique! I would love to receive one in the mail! Will they be boxed or go in a regular envelope?

I did write my address out (in terrible penmanship) to John & Jane Smith or The Brown Family. I think because they are informal, you don't need to worry with the wording.

Rachel - that is too funny! FI can't stand that he is 30 with no kids. I told him we had to be married for a year before we had a baby, so he think's he'll never be a dad. His parents (were nuts) and had all 3 boys on top of one another. Seriously at one point they had 3 UNDER 3! and they were both under 25! The thought of have that many kids right now makes my head hurt!

I personally wanted to wait to have children. I'm almost 27 and FI is 30. I do have a history of a questionable reproductive system and even though we have been together for over 6 years, it was really important for me to wait until I was married. FI jokes that this is the only reason we are getting married! I guess we're at the point now where if I got pregnant before the wedding (in 3 weeks) it wouldn't be a big deal. However, I'd be pretty pissed off! I've had some scares in teh past and to go to an AI with an open bar and not be able to enjoy would not be fun! LOL

You looked so beautiful! The photographer did a great job of capturing how happy everyone was. Some of the shots look like postcards! Congrats again!

You can still do a formal invite that is more of an announcement. A single page deal instead of a whole packet of info with RSVP and accomodation cards. Because I am having an AHR a month after our wedding, my invites announce our marriage, but are geared more towards letting everyone know about the reception. I got postcard RSVPs to include.

I am so excited for my TTD! Our photographer will be in Jamaica the whole week with us (friend of the family) so I will do the TTD before the actual wedding. I did buy a second dress because mine was a little pricy and I don't want to take a chance on anything happening to it before our AHR. Since I have the second dress FI won't see me in mine before the wedding. I just ordered a bridesmaid dress in white. It was $150 but the boutique owner sold it to me for $50 when I told her the plan! She siad she had never heard of such a thing and to bring her back a photo! I took the sash from a different dress. It came with a white and black sash, but those are easy enought to swap out!

I love the new hair Rachel! I know what you mean about growing it long for the wedding. I just had 5 inches cut off Thursday before we left for FBIL's wedding. It is still in the middle of my back, but it feels so short!

I havne't been yet, but we're going to Couples. I've heard nothing but good things about the chain. They focus on a relaxed atmosphere and romance. They also include lots of free excursions and "goodies" for honeymooners. I would suggest visiting their website and message boards. That sucks! I was going to suggest moving the date as well, if it's possible. I think you can still do a lot of the work yourself, but do ask for some input from your WC. Good luck!
