My guests will be split between a 4 night, 7 night and a 10 night stay. I think it depends on what your guest list looks like. 5 nights may be too many for some... are they able to stay at a different resort if they choose? A lot of my family is making it into our yearly vacation, so 5 nights wouldn't be a problem.

Everything looks great! I love the soaps... they *almost* make me want to try and make my own.

I'm still debating on the whole music issue. I would say go with the Bridal March if that's what you want! I don't see anything wrong with it... and its your day! At this point I think I'm going to choose songs to put on a cd to walk down the aisle to and to have my FSIL sing to during the ceremony. Then hire the steel band for the end of the ceremony and during punch/photo time.

I really like the first one! You don't have a picture of the back do you? On the website it looked really unique and pretty!

I confess that I have very mixed feelings about my future-in laws. Most of the time they drive me nuts as they are overly opinionated and way too involved in my fiance's life. I feel like they judge me every time we meet and I sometimes feel out of place when I'm with them since I grew up in a different environement. I hate that they can hold our loan from them for FIs tuition over our heads and I hate how they use money in general to manipulate my FI. However, I also confess that I am jealous of my future-future SIL (my FI's brother's fiance) relationship with them. I fear that I will never be a daughter to them like she is due to the fact we live so far away. (They are in Toronto and we are in MN). I sometmes feel I'm missing out when I hear people talk about their FMIL being involved in different wedding plans.... however other times I'm greatful I don't have to deal with it.

Yeah I know... I think it will be my expensive part of the OOT bag. My family swears by the insulated mugs for their vacations.... in fact they usually make new ones each time they go. I was also thinking we might encorporate into our x-mas gifts to everyone... that way I don't have to bring a ton down there and that way people don't pack their own. I know some girls on the forum have used different cups and tumblers though and they have worked out just fine. So you will probably be okay either way!

I love those cups size wise... I have similar ones at school that we get cheap refills in. My only concern would be that they are not insulated... so depending on your guests their drinks may get warm. I know that is why I was looking at insulated travel mugs. I think it just depends on what your guests will need.

Also... I personally don't think you necesarrily need to overly worry about what your guests are going to do between. People can break apart and do what they want... or everyone can go hang out at one of the bars and socialize.

I put my request in Monday as well... still waiting. Plus I emailed them asking what was up with them telling me just last week to wait until MarchApril but haven't gotten any response or clarification. I am feeling a bit frustrated with Riu at the moment. I can't beleive how many January spots are already filled up according to their website.
