    Hello All!

    Welcome! Happy Planning
  3. Hehe congrats! I get excited as well everytime I get 'upgraded.'
  4. Love them both, but #1 is my favorite! Do you know if your local store will match prices at all?
  5. Just wanted to let you know I'm in a semi-simialr situation. A Jan 2009 brides w/ no real rates to give our guests. However our difference might be that we are not doing the group rate - so maybe its a different situation. We and our guests are waiting until June/July to book anything per our TAs recommendation. Apparently then more vendors are open and rates should be cheaper. Right now most hte rates are directly through the resort which are pretty high. I was nervous that my TA was putting us in the wrong direction - but one of the wonderful TAs on the site told me it was the way to go! But as I said... no group rate... so probably not that helpful! Good luck! And if you aren't getting answers - I would defintely suggest the TAs on the site. They have been very helpful!
  6. Thanks for sharing! : ) Your pictures are beautiful... love your dress.
  7. Congrats! Your pics are beautiful! : ) I'm sorry about all the bumps your encountered... but sounds like everything turned out okay! I know you mentoioned using an outside florist for your bouquet... who did the flowers at the gazebo?? (Just curious whether they were included or not)
  8. I voted clear... but am still debating for myself. My flowers are prety simialr to yours...

Thanks! I spoke w/ FI and my mom last night about it all and they just told me to go w/ it as well as it is clearly what I wanted. So I think I will just email Staci today and confirm and be done w/ it! I can't wait to see how your parasols look though: ) My future sister in law is still going to try and find some for me for photos w/ the girls!
  10. We suck at saving money. After getting engaged we had this whole plan on ways we were going to save. Mainly we were going to stop eating out - because sadly we eat out 2-3 meals a day. ((We live with 2 other gross guys in an old house... so no matter how hard I try to keep the kitchen clean its just disgusting. I gave up about 6 months ago and now refused to go in there)) We've done okay I guess - do breakfast at some sort at home (mini-fridge in our room)... then go to my parents house for dinner (I switch off cooking w/ my mom). Our biggest saving is to ride share together and cut down on gas money. Also, we have temporarily stopped our movie addiction... only going to 1 every other month (previously ~2/month) and havne't bought a dvd since we got engaged (previously like 1/week)
  11. Welcome and Happy Planning
  12. We will probably be doing photos before! I had the exact same feeling - once the ceremony is over a few group pics will be nice - but then I want to be able to enjoy our time w/ the guests. Plus I love the 'first moment' photos... think they can be so sweet. But i am also being more 'nontraditional' and will be staying with my FI the night before and probably do breakfast together in the morning
  13. Congrats and Welcome. Happy Planning
  14. Congrats from another ROR bride! Happy Planning
  15. No problem You will become addicted and a master at how things work in no time! But defintely take a look at the Jamaica thread... I would say 1/3-1/2 the threads include stuff about ROR. You can find the basics on just about everything you need to know. Its wonderful... and saves lots of time from not having to wait for Chandyln. When is your wedding?
  16. If you use the search function (upper right of your screen) you will be able to find lots of great stuff! With so many ROR brides on here, alot of the common questions have been answered. But yes you can have them play during the ceremony and as you walk down the aisle for like $350/hour. Look at the first link below for the song list someone posted. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t17475 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16359 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13892 Also be sure to take a look at the Jamaica thread. There is tons of info on ROR rooms, restaurants and wedding stuff (flowers, music, photog, receptions).
  17. Yay congrats! Finding a photographer you love is such a great thing to be able to check off the list.

My initial response to the prices was that my girls would carry parasols and go w/o flowers. But this past week I began questioning that... and wanted them to have flowers as well. I contacted AAs and got a quote and now don't know what to do. Their prices are defintely better than Tai at the RIU - but still significantly higher than the parasols I budgeted for. Argh... I don't know what I want to do.
  19. I ordered large magnets and the small size postcards (which are the same size) and they both came out great. The magnets fit in the envelopes that I ordered w/ the postcards which worked out perfectly. Morgan is right though... with the magnet postage goes up.
