Now it's known as "Misiones" or "Monumentos" (monuments). Some Surfer came by years ago, and said that the rocks were like monuments, and someone started calling it like that. It's swimmable and a bit private, just beware of rocks and swells and you're good to go. Cheers
  2. Hi Ladies. The best swimmable beaches in Cabo are: Lover's beach (also on the pacific side but ONLY if you're a really really godd swimmer Hacienda Beach (watch for the stignrays though, stay away from the rocks and you're safe) Medano Beach (from Baja Cantina to Mango Deck. That's Medano Beach) From Medano beach all the way up to Club Cascadas From Villa del Arco or Palmar to RIU it's OK, but not entirely safe, due to strong currents and Undertow. On the corridor there are only a few spots... Cabo Del Sol (Fiesta Americana and others) not entirely safe, due to rocks, hard currents and unertows. Twind Dolphin Hotel (only the beach in front of it, the one next to ir has too much rocks) Santa Maria and Chileno are completely safe (as long as there isn't any storms) Maybe el Tule, but is more for surf than swimming Dreams and Marquis... STAY AWAY. Strong Currents, strong undertows, big waves. Not even locals swim there. Hilton, Melia Cabo Real, swimmable thanks to the wall they built. Westin it's kind of safe but still, beware. Palmilla has a nice beach too, swimmable of course San Jose (Costa azul, Zippers, and all are mostly surfing spots) Presidente Intecontinental. Stay Away, there are currents and undertows, way too strong, the create "holes", spots where currents going in different directions crash into each other, creating even stronger currents. Big Waves also. DO NOT SWIM TO THE ARCH, IT'S NOT WORTH DYING FOR. Just in case anyone wonders how I know this.... Iwas born here, 28 years ago, my family's been around this town for centuries now, so, Iguess I know something about swimmable beaches around my hometown.
  3. Hi ladies... At Mango Deck, we've worked with Natalie and for what we can say She's awesome, I mean, She came by the restaurant 3 hours before the rehearsal just to see that We were doing it the setting EXACTLY like she draw it, no almost, close or near like.... EXACTLY ... And my personal favorite... If you decide to go with Baja Weddings, you should go with Adriana, She has made over 250 weddings at RIU (from 2006 until September 2007). She's really good, very professional, you can check her reviews at trip advisor, also, she can mail you all the comments RIU had when she was working there.
  4. Well, that's just ONE of several reasons why I would never recommend RIU. Some other reasons are.... They WON'T let you outside WC in, unless you pay the 100 dollar day pass. They WILL make a huge scene if your WC gets in without paying, even if they told you or forgo to let you know. I was witness to both of those episodes, at RIU Los Cabos, I was helping out my girlfriend (the outside WC) and the GENERAL MANAGER and the in site Wedding coordinator (Daniela whatsername) start treating like hell and threating us to call the police unless we pay'em.... All of this near (way to much) of the WEDDING PARTY.. So girls, think twice and be very careful, they're not very professional, they've lost IPods, cameras, laptops, and some other things, and they won't pay for them or even say SORRY... ok Bye now
  5. You can check some of our menus on our website, mangodeckcabo dot com... hehehe... and you can contact us so we can mail them to you... Cheers

  7. Just one, little tiny itsy bitsy piece of advice...DESIRE hotel is for Swinger couples and that kind of "Adult Only" hotel. It is cool, trust me, but I think you should know... Cheers!!!!

I have to say that, even though I've never been to a wedding at Dreams or RIU. D've been to both of them and the service at Dreams it's by far, better than RIU. RIU has a excellent view of Cabo's Bay, but the lack of seriousness, bad service, "kind of" clean rooms, and the awful sewer-like smell it's not someting you want at your wedding. On the other hand RIU is an all-inclusive as well as Dreams, but it seems to me that RIU is more interested in getting Your money than giving You service, I've heard (& witness) a bunch of crap about them, like over booking, never having the suite they tell you about, confirming your stay but not your wedding, or the other way around. My opinion, plain & simple.....Mango Deck...jajaja.... DREAMS.... Definetely... Also you can bring you own WC at Dreams or hire one of the companies down here and they work better with Dreams than RIU.

  11. Hi leharris5. There are several different restaurant here in Cabo; the one's with great views are located right on Medano Beach (Baja Cantina, The Office, Mango Deck & so on) or at Hotels (i.e. Sunset Da Mona Lisa). However, the ones on Medano Beach are a little more Budget friendly, You can try Baja Cantina, The Office or the very best one... Mango Deck..hehehe. You can check them out at Cabo San Lucas Restaurants, Mango Deck Restaurant and Bar Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur
