Well, it is true that everything happens for a reason.. And like I said, Finisterra is an awesome hotel, is built around a hill and upon the cliff's, really great views and also, one of the first hotels in Cabo; so you know you're in for a great time. Cheers

Hi Erika Congratulations on your wedding... I've never been to Colorado nor Hawaii, but I was born in Cabo and let me tell you, this is by far, one of the best places in the world (Top Ten) to get married, and even more during the fall; and let me tell you why... DUring the fall, the weather in Cabo is perfect, warm with a freshening wind and cool at night. The sunsets are amazing, it has a huge variety of colors going from light blue, yellow and orange to purple and crimson mixture. The moon rises right on the ocean, not on a cliff or a valley... On the ocean, making it look like if it was a pit of melted silver. So, I hope we can see you around here during you're wedding. Cheers

3 Weeks!!!! WOOOOOW..... For what I know, the fellows at LG are really good and professional, they are on the Top 5 catering service in Cabo, so that might be a reason why they take too long ansering you. If you use them, trust me, you will not be dissapointed, but if they've taken so long in asnwering you, better play it safe and go for Del Cabo events or Denni's catering.... It's completely up to future Mr. Hubby and You.. Cheers

Ok... Here it goes... My now FI and I were celebrating our 4 1/2 yr together, so we decided to go there, we had walked by and we kind of liked it, with the ambience and everything, when we get there, we had o wait 15 minutes to get a seat and the place was almost empty, 5 tables were taken, someone (who didn't introduce himself) sat us by the deck, right in front of the marina (wonderful view by the way), the waiter took like 15 minutes just to give us the menu and take our drinks, We're a very patient couple (mostly because it was our aniversary), so we decided to let it slide, 20 minutes later, the waiter took our food order and He didn't know how the stake I order was presented (I decided to try it anyways). While this was happening a table of 4 sat right 3 tables to our left (on the corner of the deck), it was a French guy, an Argentinian ladie and two americans (I remember this because I had them at my place the same day), this is when everything went south... We got there first, but were last to be served, the Maitre and 3 waiters were having so much fun with this guys that totally neglected Us, I had to get up and look for a freaking stake knife, that the busboy forgot to bring, My lady hat to go to the bar to get us more drinks (we were drinking Don Julio & Grey Goose), when I told the manager what was happening he answered..."You can't blame them, you didn't place your order before them", ok that was true, but only because We didn't get the menus after 15 minutes of waiting and waveing... "Ok, I'll give you a discount and we call it even?"... Really?, is that it? not even an apologyze or sorry..something??... So, by the time we got the check the other table was, literally, long gone, and still the freaking check took a while, without the discount by the way, (just to be clear on that issue), so we got up talking about the service and everything (to each other), when the waiter holds my arm and says "Sir? there's no tip on the table", it wasn't a question but I thought he was joking, but hell noooo... He got upset when I told him that he was damn sure there wasn't... He explained that, the manager told him to dedicate himself to the other guys (they're importing wines & other stuff on a lower price)... Anyways, I did gave him a tip, after all, I used to be a waiter myself, also, be careful because they tend to charge 15% of service on the check without even telling you, I'm used to go through the whole thing before paying, so that's why the waiter was so upset. That's my "review" of Los Deseos I would never go back there, unless my life depends on it, I'd rather go to Alexanders, Presto..Hell, I'll even eat at Mango Cantina on the Marina...LOL....JK

Mi Casa is such a great place, it's one of the fewer places that make real mexican food, about Deseos, I had an awful experience, so I won't say anything... If you don't have nothing nice to say...RIght?... But if you ever eat there, I hope you enjoy it.

Cabo is a great option for your wedding, during may it has a wonderful weather and also, great sunsets, and don't have to worry too much about people on the background, almost every hotel or outside WC know how to avoid those unwanted peepers. There are several AI resorts here, it depends on what you're alooking for... Presidente Intercontinental in San Jose's stuary El Tesoro right in fron of Cabo San Lucas wonderful Marina Me by Melia, right on Medano Beach The hotels on the corridor are really nice too, but some of them don't have a swimmable beach. If you need any info feel free to PM me.

WC Question - What would you do? (long)
Mango Deck replied to AlmostaSeif's topic in Cabo Wedding Vendors
Hi there, I know you're freaking out, but truth be told, most WC's and/or vendors related to weddings, take summer as a vacation period, due to the low wedding rate during those months. I've always said that some people deserves second chances, and I bet that if you give her a call, she'll be able to tell you the reasons why she hasn't respond... Maybe an E.R. situation? BF gone wrong? I guess, waht I want to say, is that, You could cut her a bit more slack, but if with the phone call she still the same... Then slap her 'round a bit and then find someone...JK -

Mango Deck replied to mushkilla's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
I'm looking on weather.com and it looks like it's going North-North West, unfortunately it went up one category, so.... 4... Yikes!!!!!!... It's supposed to start turning North tomorrow... Still, don't worry, you'll be able to say I Do. Just make sure to say it WAY out loud, 'cause the winds gonna blow hard...LOL... Really, don't worry too much about it, you're gonna have a lovely, windy wedding... Margaritas any one.. We'll be working that day, how cool is that? Cheers -
Cabo Locals - any word on Hurricane Norbert??
Mango Deck replied to mushkilla's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
The Hurricane is a categiry 2 and it's supposed to go 3, today, and should weaken as it comes closer to Baja. It's supposed to hit the middle of Baja on saturday, if that happens, We should be getting some wind, rain & high tides (nothing compared to Cuba or New Orleans). But, due to the histoy between Cabo and Hurricanes, this one should either re-direct west and get lost in the ocean or, the most likely to happen, keep moving North-North East and get through Baja, then jumping to the California Gulf, and hitting the nearby states (Sinaloa, Sonora & Baja California). So don't worry too much... You should be getting a price... Getting married in Cabo... on a rainy day??...LOL...Just kidding, that's not gonna happen. -
Sadly, we had to remove our volleyball court, but we' still a great place... We've added a new section, the "lite" section, is on our left side; on this side you can still hear the music and have the same fun without the hassel of our heavy area... Less noise, less crowded same ol' fun, awesome drinks, same specials and same great service.. Cheers

Hi Jsole I agree with some of the folks here, it's better to try and find a vendor here in Cabo, here's why: If you import them from the US you have to pay Import fees, mailing and handling, as well as shipping them from anywhere in Mexico and sadly, event though Cabo is Mexico, the shipping is more expensive since they have to go across country. There are some really nice flower vendors down here. Cheers

Hi Christine Congratulations and Welcome to the forum... Cabo Azul is great place to say "I do", it has a magnificent view, the design of the Hotel is awesome. Also, its Cabo, one of the greatest to get married, wonderful sun-bathed beaches, top class golf courses, great places to eat & party... Have fun on the planning

dont know which month to pick...
Mango Deck replied to Michelle's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Hi Shelly October and January are one of the best pick you can have, here's why... Durin October, the moon is closest to earth, so you can see the moon risign at the Sea of Cortez, it's a beautiful, huge, orangy kind of cheese..jejeje... But like Marco said, January is still a good month and the first weeks of the month you can find very good deals. Not much help?...LOL.... Well, if you want a orange, pink and purple sunset, with cool weather, go with October. If you need any other info about weather, and stuff... feel free to Pm me... -
I've seen the pics from Tomas Barron, and some other photgraphers... and even though they're all really good, it all comes down to dear ol' money, right?... I, personally, would go with Tomas Barron, He's a really cool guy and He doesn't get on the way, also, He is not as expensive as others. Cheers

They do do that at Baja weddings, also, you might want to write to Paddy at [email protected] She's done several weddings of this kind, so she might be able to help you out.

Hey guys... Actually, it's not that common that a Hurricane hits Cabo, Juliette was the one that passed by us, didn't actually hit us, but it was moving so slow and was a category 2 that the wind and water that came along did the most damage. But not to worry, we usually have hurricanes hits during september and although october is still the season, it's rare when that happens. Also, I've been around for 29 years, so I canl call it and "educated Guess"
